Chapter 10 Follow Me Home

High school life was intense and fast-paced. Yan Cuo's class, Grade 13, was teeming with top students. The workload was heavier than in junior high, the schedule was tighter, and the competition was fiercer.

Nowadays, teachers don't spend too much time explaining the questions. Most of the time, you have to analyze them yourself. Yan Cuo was glad that he had laid a good foundation, so learning was not difficult.

Su He and Yan Cuo were in the same class and shared the same dorm. The two girls usually went in and out together, and their relationship grew stronger and stronger.

Yan Cuo found time to tell her about Yu Muyang in detail. Su He listened but said nothing. The blind love she had in junior high school had long since faded with time. Now, seeing how good Yan Cuo and Yu Muyang were, she felt happy for her friend.

Su He had watched Yan Cuo's progress. She was truly happy for her as the timid girl had transformed into the brave and outstanding person she was now. She only hoped that they would always be well. That would be all that mattered.

There are six girls in the dormitory, coming from all over the city, with different personalities, some cheerful and some shy. Lin Jiang is a gentle girl with long flowing hair, and has always been a goddess pursued by boys.

Lu Xiaonan was a loud and boisterous female figure, always making waves in the dormitory with laughter, making everyone happy. The other two girls were always silent and quiet, so Yan Cuo never had the chance to ask their names.

Girls from all over the world gather together to create a home atmosphere in this dormitory. They study and live together, and the occasional laughter and scolding are all the true beauty of youth.

Yu Muyang's senior year was already preparing for the exams. Seniors didn't participate in any of the usual school activities. Their teaching building was always brightly lit, and Yan Cuo, thinking he was busy, didn't go looking for him.

Let’s wait until the Mid-Autumn Festival. He will definitely come home, and it would be nice to go back with him, Yancuo thought.

After class on Friday, Yan Cuo refused to go home with Su He and waited for him at the school gate. When it finally got dark and everyone in the school had left, he still didn't see that figure.

She was a little confused and walked towards Yu Muyang's class. There was only one light on in the classroom. Under the dim light, she saw the boy. He was lying on the desk, his face pale and sweat on his forehead. Yan Cuo was startled and touched his forehead with her hand. It was surprisingly hot.

She didn't know where she got the strength from, but she supported him and helped him out of the classroom. The person next to her seemed to be a little confused by the fever, and was saying something. Yancuo leaned in and listened carefully, as if he was calling her name.

Yan Cuo helped him to the school gate and took a taxi to the hospital. In the taxi, the boy frowned and looked very uncomfortable. Yan Cuo was very anxious: "Driver, please go faster, he is sick." The driver looked at her and increased the speed.

They soon arrived at the hospital, and it was already completely dark. Yan Cuo remembered that he hadn't told his family about what happened here, so while Yu Muyang was on an IV drip, he went outside to find a phone booth and called. His uncle and aunt were very anxious on the other end of the phone, thinking something had happened on the way. She just said that a classmate had a little problem and she was with her. Hearing that she was fine, they were relieved and just asked her to come back early.

After hanging up the phone, Yancuo walked into the hospital. The hospital was quiet at this time, and there were few people passing by in the corridor. She walked towards the place where the bottle was hung, and saw him lying there, with a trace of heartache in her heart.

Thinking of his pale face, Yan Cuo couldn't help but think that senior year must be very tiring with such intense schoolwork, but he just had a fever and lay in the classroom without anyone noticing. If he hadn't seen it, the consequences would have been disastrous.

She reached out and smoothed his frown, still looking at him.

After an unknown amount of time, he finally opened his eyes and saw the girl in front of him. He seemed a little surprised. "Why are you here? Why am I in the hospital?"

Yan Cuo was a little angry, angry that he didn't take good care of himself. "You fainted in the classroom, and I brought you to the hospital. If I hadn't noticed, you wouldn't even know you had a fever. Do you know that your fever was 39 degrees Celsius and you were talking nonsense?"

She walked to his side and sat down without saying a word to him. Yu Muyang looked at the girl's angry look, feeling distressed and happy at the same time. He couldn't help but tease her again: "What did I say? Did you hear it?" Yan Cuo blushed, "No, I didn't hear anything." After saying that, she turned her back to him.

Yu Muyang talked for a while and felt a little thirsty. Yan Cuo looked at his pale lips and ran out to get her a cup of hot water.

He gently sipped the water in his cup and looked at the girl beside him. Her hair was a little messy at the moment, and her young face was full of worry. The moment the hot water entered his throat, his stomach was warmed by it, and he, too, was warmed by this girl.

After hanging up the drip, the doctor said some precautions and prescribed some medicine. Yan Cuo listened carefully, and after repeatedly confirming that nothing was wrong, her tense nerves finally relaxed. Looking at the dark sky outside, Yan Cuo was a little at a loss. It was so late, and there was definitely no bus to go home.

Standing at the hospital entrance, not knowing where to go. Yu Muyang looked at her and smiled: "What's wrong, are you homeless? Do you want to go home with me?"

Yan Cuo ignored her and walked forward. Yu Muyang's voice came from behind: "Come back with me, I rented a house nearby." Yan Cuo looked at him, as if judging the truth of his words.

Yu Muyang smiled and walked away. Yan Cuo thought about it and finally followed him slowly.
