The summer vacation passed quickly, and when school started, they were already sophomores in high school.
Walking into the familiar school gate, memories of the past came flooding back, but they would no longer be here. She felt a little lost, looking at the teaching building they used to live in, at the cafeteria they used to go to together, but now it was just the two of them.

After cleaning up, the girls went to the cafeteria for dinner. The cafeteria was still bustling with people. They waited in line for a long time before getting their meals. After finding a seat, they sat down to eat.
Summer hadn't quite passed yet, and the air was still stifling. They ate while wiping their sweat. Outside, the sky was dark and overcast, and it looked like it was going to rain. Gusts of wind blew from time to time, swaying the trees on campus, yet they remained standing resolutely.
They couldn't help but eat faster, worried about getting caught in the rain on their way back to the classroom. But the weather in September was unpredictable, and just as they left the cafeteria, a burst of rain began to fall.
