Chapter 96: Fighting for a future for that person

He had excellent grades and could manage a company while attending school, taking it to the next level and impressing everyone. He could play basketball and speak fluent English.

He doesn't know how many surprises are waiting for him to discover. He has a perseverance that ordinary people don't have. No matter what he does, he strives to be the best and the most outstanding.

Yan Cuo took out a tissue from her bag and walked towards the direction he was coming from. She didn't stand on tiptoe until he stood in front of her, then she slowly wiped the sweat off his face.

Yu Muyang lowered his head to cooperate, adjusting to her height, looking at the girl's serious look, wiping it bit by bit, with a smile on his lips all the time.

By the time he finished wiping, Gu Xuran was already clamoring for another plate, so Yan Cuo could only let him go. She looked at his carefree and unrestrained appearance, feeling a little proud. After watching him closely for a while, she called Su He to go out with her. Su He followed her out with some confusion, "Where are you going?"

"Let's go buy some water. They sweat a lot playing basketball, so they'll definitely be thirsty soon."

Su He suddenly realized it and slapped his head, "I forgot about it. You are more careful."

Yan Cuo looked at her like this and said, "Don't pat your head all the time, or you'll get smacked silly. Let's go out and buy some water and then go back."

Su He nodded, hooked her arm and walked outside. The two boys over there were fighting fiercely and had no time to pay attention to this side.

Gu Xuran was determined to avenge his previous defeat and tried every possible way to block Yu Muyang's ball, but he always found a way to fly past him and into the basket. After a few rounds, he lost miserably and was exhausted.

"Yu Muyang, what do you do? How come you are good at everything? I don't think I'm stupider than you."

Yu Muyang was silent for a moment, then turned to him and said, "I've been instilled with this idea since I was a child: I have to be the best at everything I do. Otherwise, I might as well not do it. Over time, this idea has taken root in my mind and cannot be pulled out. I have become the kind of person they wanted me to be, but I'm not happy.

It wasn't until I met Yan Cuo that I realized what I truly wanted. I didn't want much, just someone by my side, someone who would always be there for me. I didn't want Yu's or any other company. They were like shackles, tightly tying me down, making it impossible for me to break free and suffocate me.

Those people in the family are like smiling tigers. They smile at you on the surface, but secretly want to kill you. I hate this kind of interpersonal relationship, but I still have to maintain the harmony on the surface. Although they seem to have settled down a lot in recent years, who knows if they will make a comeback in the future. They are eyeing my position covetously, always trying to get me out, but who knows? If it weren't for Yan Cao, I wouldn't want this position of general manager in the first place.

Gu Xuran felt the same way after hearing his words. "Everyone says we grew up with a silver spoon in our mouths, but who knows the pressure we've been carrying since childhood? Our future paths have been determined since we were born. Who has it easier than who? We still have to work hard to get the person we want.

My parents have had a bitter relationship since childhood. I've seen my father slam the door and walk out countless times, and my mother burst into tears. I used to think I would never believe in love because of what I'd experienced since childhood. I didn't want to become a cold and heartless person like my father.

Who knew, Su He's appearance would easily break all of this? I like her sunny and cheerful side, her uninhibited nature, everything about her. I never thought I could be changed so easily, but now I believe it. Because she's the one who showed up, I'm willing to fight for her, to fight for a future we share.

The two men looked at each other, as if they had found a soulmate, and said things they would never say in front of others. They were men, and they had to take on the responsibilities they should bear, and they shouldn't let women bear those responsibilities.

This was the scene that Yan Cuo and Su He saw when they came back. Two boys were talking and laughing, and the basketball rolled down not far away, but no one cared.

Yan Cuo handed them the mineral water he had bought and looked at Su He in the distance, eager to try. "How about we try it? Can you play basketball?"

Su He stuck out his tongue and said, "No, I don't even have a standard shooting posture."

Yan Cuo walked over and picked up the basketball, pointing to the basket. "Let's try it. Ten shots each, let's see who scores more, how about that?"

Su He was somewhat moved by what she said, but hesitantly asked, "Is there any punishment if I lose?"

Yan Cuo thought for a moment and said, "If I lose, I'll be responsible for the other person's breakfast for a month. How about that?"

Su He's brain raced. He had never seen Yan Cuo play basketball before, so he probably couldn't do it. He didn't think he would lose. A month of breakfast was a big draw, so why not give it a try?

Su He quickly agreed, "Come on, I won't lose to you, just wait and see."

Yan Cuo nodded, holding the ball in his hand, "Then it's rock-paper-scissors. The loser goes first."

Su He nodded, and the two of them gestured, Yan Cuo holding the scissors and Su He holding the cloth. So Su He started first.

Su He felt the ball nervously, glancing at Gu Xuran, who gave him an encouraging look. Feeling a surge of strength, Su He threw it far away. It flew in a... well, not-so-beautiful arc, and then they saw it perfectly avoid the rim and disappear into the bushes behind.

Su He's face fell a little, but in front of so many people, she still felt that she should try again and not let anyone look down on her.

She cleared her throat, looked at Yan Cuo seriously and said, "That was just a warm-up. Now I'm officially starting, and I won't let you go."

Yan Cuo suppressed his laughter, looked at her serious expression, and nodded vigorously, "Yes, I believe you can do it."

The second, third, and fourth time, Su He lived up to everyone's expectations. All the basketballs perfectly missed the basket and went into the bushes behind it.

She was not discouraged and was ready to keep trying. The next few balls looked better and were closer to the basket, but without exception, none of them went in.

When it came to the last ball, Su He had a desperate spirit. She looked at the basket in the distance, took a deep breath, and threw the ball up. The basketball was getting closer and closer to the basket and was about to go in. Su He's face was full of excitement and she was about to cheer, but then she watched the basketball brush past the rim and fall behind.

Su He suddenly collapsed, shouting that he was unwilling to accept it, with an expression of disbelief on his face, which made them all laugh.

"Stop laughing!" She pretended to be fierce. What kind of person was that? She was so sad, yet he still laughed at her.
