Chapter 4 Annoyance
Han smelled the foul odor that could not be concealed from Xu Tao's mouth, frowned, turned his face away, and leaned his body back.
A hint of annoyance flashed in Xu Tao's eyes, and he deliberately said: "Chen Yayi and Pingzi have a very good relationship. Their families hope that they can become a couple." As he said this, he looked at Han with a smile, but there was no reaction.
Han said calmly, "I've heard of it."
Lu Xiaoping once mentioned that he had a childhood sweetheart whose family had a business partnership. They had played together since they were young, but they just didn't have a spark of attraction.
"Maybe it's too familiar, so I can't bring myself to do it." Lu Xiaoping explained half-jokingly.
Han secretly thought that with his short-lived love temperament, he was afraid that he would not be able to get rid of her when he wanted to, which would affect his family's business cooperation.
The Lu family is so shrewd, how can they take a child's love game seriously? It would be much more reliable to be a mutually beneficial business partner.
Xu Tao blew a smoke ring in her face and said, "Yes, we are a group of people who are used to playing together. Pingzi is younger than us and we have watched him grow up. He is young and naive and easily deceived."
Han waved his hand to disperse the smoke in front of him, sneered, and looked at him.
Xu Tao met her gaze, slowly drank the wine in his glass, wiped the wine stains from his lips with his fingers, and said quietly, "The Lu family has only become prosperous in the past two years, and their financial resources are not deep. Any family here is richer than theirs."
Han turned his head and said, "I don't know how much money their family has, and I'm not interested in knowing."
"Really?" He curled his lips in a mocking way, expressing his disbelief.
He stared at Han Que's face and said, "Miss Han, I think you look familiar. Have we met before?"
But out of politeness, Han asked calmly, "Is it in the gym?"
"No." Xu Tao shook his head, his eyes disdainful. "I don't apply for a card with Zhou Hongbin. He's too ruthless and overcharges people. I won't be taken advantage of like Pingzi."
As he spoke, he moved closer to Han Que and asked, "Why, do people like me disappoint Miss Han?"
Han glanced at him coldly, without saying anything. After a pause, he said lightly: "It has nothing to do with me."
Xu Tao smiled frivolously: "I heard that you are Zhou Hongbin's top salesperson. I should be your potential client too."
Han ignored him and just moved aside. "I'm just a part-time worker. I just need to do my job well."
"Oh, so what you call your own business is developing clients, especially those who are simple and easy to control like Pingzi. They are the ones you want to develop." Xu Tao approached her affectionately: "But I really think you look familiar."
He pretended to think, "Maybe girls like you are all the same."
Han sneered.
Xu Tao stared at her face with his narrow eyes. "Hey, some women may look innocent, but they're actually very cheap. They only care about money and will do anything for it. Miss Han, am I right?"
He stared at Han Que's reaction, hoping to see him get angry and embarrassed.
"Mr. Xu has been in society for a long time and may be too confident. He thinks everyone looks familiar." Han Que still had a smile on his face, but his eyes were cold. "Maybe your appearance is too mediocre, making it difficult to leave a deep impression on others. And..."
She said gently, "Some men may look righteous, but they're actually full of thieves and whores. Mr. Xu, am I right?"
Xu Tao's face suddenly darkened and he opened his mouth to defend himself.
Lu Xiaoping came over and put his arm around Han Que's shoulders, saying with a smile, "What are you guys talking about? I'm quite happy watching you from afar."
Han raised his face, gave an innocent smile, and said gently, "Mr. Xu said that I looked familiar to him, as if he had seen me somewhere."
"Really?" Lu Xiaoping lowered his head and asked Xu Tao, "Where have you seen her?"
Xu Tao snorted and said nothing.
Lu Xiaoping pouted at Han Que, "Don't you believe him? Whenever he sees a beautiful woman, he tells her he looks familiar. It's his usual way of chatting her up." Then he pulled Han Que up and said, "Come on, let's ignore him. Come dance with me. This is my favorite song."
Some people were singing and playing finger-guessing games in the private room. The blues music was lingering and mellow. Lu Xiaoping was hugging Han in the dark corner.
"Han Que." Lu Xiaoping hugged her waist tightly.
Han looked up at him, his eyes devoid of smile: "What?"
"You haven't wished me a happy birthday yet." Lu Xiaoping was stunned and pouted in grievance.
"Happy birthday to you." Han was absent-minded.
Lu Xiaoping saw the expression on her face and couldn't wait to put his face close to hers.
The warm breath brushed Han Que's earlobe. She frowned uncomfortably and shrank back.
Lu Xiaoping was slightly annoyed.
The door of the private room was pushed open, and the mama-san came in with a group of female companions, standing in a row. Each of them was bright, charming and lovely.
Han, however, took the opportunity to release his embrace and felt a sudden sense of relief.
Lu Xiaoping was stunned and stood there motionless. After a long moment, he pointed at Guo Peng and Xu Tao and angrily said, "You two actually yelled..."
"Hey, it's your birthday today, everyone should be happy together..." Guo Peng smiled. He took a bottle of champagne that had just been served, opened the cap with a snap, shook it, and gushing bubbles fell from the sky.
"Come, wish Pingzi a happy birthday."
"Happy birthday……"
The waiter pushed the food cart in, and there were candles on the cake, and the candlelight was shining.
The expression on Lu Xiaoping's face was a little embarrassed, but he felt very proud. He was happy again. He clasped his hands together, closed his eyes, made a wish, and accepted everyone's blessings.
The lights came on and the birthday song started playing. Lu Xiaoping opened his eyes while singing and looked around the crowd until he saw Han Que in the crowd, grinning and full of joy.
Han clapped along with everyone else, but there was no smile on his face anymore.
Guo Peng had lost three games of dice in a row and was forced to drink a lot of wine. He shouted for Lu Xiaoping to come to the rescue.
Lu Xiaoping responded, but did not stand up. He looked at Han Que with some embarrassment.
Han gently nudged him and said, "Go ahead."
"But I want to accompany you..." Lu Xiaoping hugged her arm and shook it.
"I don't need anyone to accompany me."
Guo Peng urged again, and Lu Xiaoping cursed: "Scream, scream, my girlfriend is here..." As he spoke, he turned around and moved over, and soon he was having a lot of fun.
Han put down her wine glass, curled up slightly in the depths of the sofa, took out her cell phone from her canvas bag and started reading a novel. The cold light of the screen reflected in her cold eyes.
The liveliness is always other people's liveliness, but loneliness is one's own loneliness.
With bright lights, wine and women, and soft humming and laughter, the atmosphere finally became lively.
In the dark corner, pairs of figures huddled together, and from time to time, one could hear their blushing gasps and low moans.
Lu Xiaoping, who was having fun over there, answered a phone call and stood up. "Hey, brother, are you here? Everyone is waiting for you. I'll come down to pick you up right away..."
He had just drunk a lot and was dizzy and unsteady on his feet. He kicked the girl who was kneeling beside him in the chest. She groaned and fell to the ground, knocking over the bottle of whiskey that had just been opened and several glass glasses.
Lu Xiaoping's trouser legs and leather shoes were instantly soaked, and the young lady even crawled on the ground, hugged his legs, and kept saying sorry.

"I don't know him well. I won't go."
"I'm not going."
Guo Peng and Xu Tao said in unison.
"You guys..." Lu Xiaoping pointed at them and scolded, "Damn it, you just can't stand the fact that others are richer than you."
"So what if you're rich? If you want to lick someone, go find someone else." Xu Tao glanced at Han Que with a sneer, intentionally or unintentionally, "Some are just money-obsessed lickers."
Lupin cursed, pulled his legs out of the lady's hand, and struggled to walk out. When he was almost at the door, he couldn't hold on and slipped onto the sofa next to Han Que.
He struggled to get up several times but couldn't. He raised his head and looked at Han Que pitifully, begging, "Han Que, go and help me pick someone up..."
Han nodded, quickly stood up, put on a coat and went out.
Pushing open the glass revolving door, she felt the breeze on her face and suddenly woke up. She looked around and saw that no one was waiting for her, so she continued walking a few steps along the road.
There are cherry blossom trees planted on both sides of the road. It is March, the spring weather, and the petals are like snow, falling in a colorful manner.
She stood under a cherry tree, raised her face, and looked at the numerous flowers with a dazed gaze. The branches were bent down, the shadows of the trees were swaying, and the fragrance lingered in the air, seeming to be there and not there.
The cherry blossoms under the dark blue night sky glow with a silvery-white light, with a kind of almost enchanting beauty.
Behind me, a doubtful voice suddenly asked hesitantly, "Excuse me, are you waiting for me?"
Han was startled and suddenly came to his senses.
A young man stood behind her quietly.
