Chapter 99 Crack
"Han Que, can you have a little confidence in me?" Gu Ningwei was anxious. He pulled Han Que's body over, forced her to face him, stared into her eyes and carefully watched the subtle expressions on her face.
"I don't disbelieve you. I always listen to you and believe that you can solve all problems. If not, would I be able to walk with you today?" Han was forced to look at him, tears in his eyes.
"But what about you?" She paused and then asked, "Are you worthy of my trust?"
Gu Ningwei took a deep breath and asked, "How did I feel sorry for you?"
"Yes, you have done nothing wrong to me. You have never hidden anything from me. You made it clear at the beginning that you wanted to go the route of a business marriage. Now it's time for you to fulfill your promise, and I have also gotten what I wanted. Isn't that great?" Han looked at him.
"Han Que, please stop being so unreasonable, okay?" Gu Ningwei couldn't suppress the fatigue and anger in his voice. "You know very well that I don't mean that. You also know that Chengguang is in a very big trouble now. I'm trying to find a solution."
He sighed heavily and repeated involuntarily, "I've been trying to find a solution, but Chengguang's size was beyond my control before. Now that things have gotten so bad, can't you give me some time?"
"How do you want me to give you time?" Han asked back, "It's not that I don't give you time now, it's because you simply don't have time."
She looked into his deep, melancholy eyes, softened her tone, and said softly, "Gu Ningwei, let's not make a fuss anymore. You're right. You have a lot of things to deal with right now. Let's put aside your romantic affairs for now."
Gu Ningwei was silent. He leaned back in his chair and didn't speak for a long time. His eyes were staring blankly at a certain place in front of him. No one knew what he was thinking about.
Han looked at him, sighed deeply in her heart, opened the car door and prepared to get out, but she didn't expect Gu Ningwei to hold her in his arms.
His arms tightly held her waist, his cheek buried in her neck, motionless, only his warm breath sprayed on her ears, and after a while, a few drops of warm liquid fell on her skin.
Han Que's heart seemed to be tied tightly by a thin thread and suddenly tightened. She tried to push him away to confirm her feelings, but Gu Ningwei held her tightly, making her unable to move.
Han struggled a few times, but could only hold him tightly, stroking the pointed hair on the back of his neck with one hand, and patting his back gently with the other hand, just like comforting a little baby.
They hugged each other tightly and silently, and could hear each other's heartbeats.
They had had countless more intimate actions than this, but only at this moment could they feel each other's presence more deeply.
After a long time, Gu Ningwei released her first, pursed his lips, and said with a forced smile: "Okay, we will separate for the time being. During this time, I will not come to the 24th floor."
After a pause, he continued, "If you're willing, you can help me take care of Zhening's affairs. If you don't want to, it's fine. I'll arrange for someone to take over."
Han nodded and said, "Don't worry about Zhening's matter. I will do my best to sort it out, and you can hand it over to someone else."
"Okay." Gu Ningwei paused and nodded.
"You have to take care of your health, stay up late less, and remember to take medicine when you have stomachache." Han thought for a moment and gave another reminder.
"Yeah." Gu Ningwei nodded again. After a while, he turned his face away and looked out the window, not wanting Han to see the tears in his eyes.
"I'm going back." After a while, Han said softly.
"Okay, go to bed early." Gu Ningwei turned around and kissed her cheek gently, then reached out to tidy up her messy hair: "Good night."
"Good night." Han said without looking up at her. He lowered his head, opened the car door, and got out.
Gu Ningwei sat in the car, watching her walk towards the narrow alley. The street lights were dim, and her white shirt was in the shadows, like a faint shadow, far away and blurry.
He didn't know whether she was crying or not. He only saw her walking and then stopping under a street light. After hesitating for a while, he saw her squatting down and hugging her body with her hands.
The street light shrunk her body into a small shadow. He waited for a long time, but she still squatted there.
Gu Ningwei got out of the car, locked the door casually, and ran towards the shadow.
The light on the courtyard gate was broken, and the steps at the door could not be seen clearly. Han Que's back was pressed against the stone wall. The rough wall carried the residual heat of the day, baking her body.
She struggled and gasped, trying to push him away, "Gu Ningwei, we're breaking up..."
Before she could finish her words, they were blocked by his lips. From beginning to end, his lips were pressed tightly against hers, preventing her from speaking or breathing. She whimpered incoherently a few times, and he pried her lips open forcibly, blocking all the words from coming back.
At first she was still struggling hard, but gradually she stopped. He just kissed her hard, wanting to take everything from her and savor it slowly in the years to come.
She felt the alcohol rising into her mouth, and the burning heat in her throat rolled out, burning her nerves. She hugged him, and he had the most familiar scent on her body, making her feel comfortable, warm and secure. The remaining clarity in her mind was still wondering how she could find such an embrace in the future?
Through his shirt, she could feel his scorching body temperature and his heavy breathing, like a heat wave rolling in on a summer day.
"Where are the keys?" he asked in a hoarse and slurred voice, while he directly reached out to grope her shirt pocket. When his palm touched her skin, he kissed her madly, pried open her lips, and sucked the breath from her mouth fiercely.
The wooden door creaked open, and the yard was dark. A small piece of patio was revealed between the heavy eaves, sprinkled with the night light.
The light in Grandma Jiang's room next door came on. Grandma Jiang coughed a few times and spat out a mouthful of thick phlegm. She asked sleepily, "Who is it?"
The two were stunned for a moment, and Gu Ningwei stopped and held his breath.
Han Que glanced at him and answered in a raised voice: "It's me, Han Que, I'm back."
"Oh, Han Que is back. He comes back so late and makes so much noise that I can't sleep..." Grandma Jiang muttered and complained, and the lights went out again.
Han fumbled for the key in her bag to open the door of her room. Before she opened the door and turned on the light, she was picked up by Ning Wei.
Her center of gravity was unstable, and she could only instinctively hold his neck tightly.
Gu Ningwei held her in his arms. He paused for a few moments in the darkness, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness. He quickly found the bed and gently placed her on it. He leaned over her, pressing his body tightly against hers.
There was no light and the room was dark. Her body was trembling slightly under him. The thin clothes on her body could no longer stop his manic and violent passion. He just wanted to possess her, tear her apart, and covet every beautiful part of her body.
He supported himself on the edge of the bed with his hands and thrust his whole body into her, deep inside her body, where the warmest and wettest place in the world could wrap around him, just like returning to his mother's arms.
They had done this many times, but this time Han was confused and bewildered. Unknowingly, tears welled up in her eyes, which were seen by Gu Ningwei. He leaned over and whispered in her ear to comfort her. He was talking about how she looked when he first saw her. In the sunny and warm early spring, her smile was brighter than the blooming red plum.
And that night, she was standing under the cherry tree waiting for him. It was at that glance that he knew he had met the person he had been looking for all his life.
In the morning, Han woke up first. She stared at the sleeping man beside her and felt her heart soften again. She knew that he loved her, but her reason told her that she could not hesitate any longer.
No matter how Gu Ningwei would do things, she couldn't gamble with herself on him.
Fang Jiayan felt that Han Que seemed like a different person recently. She couldn't tell what had changed, but she just found that the light in her eyes was gone, and her whole body seemed to be covered in a layer of fog, hazy.
She privately asked Zhou Wenwen if she had heard any rumors about Gu Ningwei.
Zhou Wenwen said that there are fewer and fewer rich people in Zhou Hongbin's place now, and she can't get any information from him.
"My brother's consumption has also been downgraded, and now he has specially opened a fitness class for middle-aged and elderly people, specifically targeting the retired middle-aged and elderly group."
One day, Fang Jiayan came home from work and saw Han Que sitting in a daze on the rattan chair on the balcony when she entered the door. It was a summer evening, and the afterglow of the sun painted the entire wall a bright orange-yellow color. She was completely backlit, and her hair was covered with a layer of warm light, like a brightly colored oil painting.
Cicadas were chirping happily in the shade of the trees. The washed clothes hanging on the clothesline on the balcony were blown all over the sky by the strong wind. She was completely unaware of it, immersed in her own thoughts.
"Han Que, what's wrong with you recently?" Fang Jiayan couldn't help but ask her.
"Nothing." Han withdrew his gaze, looked up at her and smiled slightly.
"Did you have a fight with Mr. Gu?" Fang Jiayan asked again, "I haven't seen you go out on a date recently."
Han shook his head and said calmly: "No quarrel, there is nothing to quarrel about."
"Oh, I'm glad you didn't quarrel. I heard from Yuan Hao that Chengguang has been in turmoil recently. I guess Master Gu has been focusing on his career." Fang Jiayan said as she saw Han Que's long eyelashes flutter, then covered his drooping eyes.
"They have never been peaceful." Han said in a low voice with an indifferent expression.
"Hmm..." Fang Jiayan shook her head. "I heard things are different this time. Yuan Hao said the higher-ups even issued a red-headed document with a list of names, warning all banks to be vigilant against risks. The first name on the list is Chengguang Group."
"Oh." Han was indifferent. She walked into the living room, opened the takeaway plastic bag on the coffee table, took out a box of lunch, looked up and asked Fang Jiayan: "I ordered takeaway, have you eaten yet?"
Fang Jiayan nodded, "I ate at the hospital." Then she went to the bedroom to get a change of clothes and prepared to go to the bathroom to take a shower. After thinking about it, she still felt something was wrong. She poked her head out of the bathroom and asked, "By the way, Han Que, I noticed that you haven't looked well lately. Are you feeling well? If you have time, please come to our hospital for a physical examination."
"I'm not feeling unwell, I just feel a little tired." Han took the takeaway lunch and took a few bites, but found it tasteless. She looked at the rice and pickled fish in the box with disgust, and felt that the fish fillets had a fishy smell.
"What kind of fish is this? Even pickled cabbage can't cover the fishy smell. It must have been contaminated." She muttered to herself, stood up and threw the takeaway box into the trash can.
Then he curled up lazily on the sofa and looked at his phone.
Fang Jiayan came out of the bathroom after taking a shower. While drying her hair, she kicked her slippers on the floor in disdain. "Look at how lazy you are. You don't even eat properly. How can you be so busy every day and not eat properly?"
Han put down his phone, closed his eyes, and smiled bitterly, "I have no appetite in the summer. My mother said I have had summer heat since I was a child, and she always dislikes me all day long."
"Your summer fever is gone, don't tell me you've been infected." Fang Jiayan joked with a smile, then added, "Actually, it's a good thing you've been infected. It's just the right time for Master Gu to marry you, so you don't have to worry about it all day long."
