Chapter 20: Testing
Han was annoyed by Yang Lu's inquiring gaze. She kicked Yang Lu's chair and said with a sweet smile, "Just tell me. Don't tell me half of the story and leave people guessing."
Yang Lu took a breath and said, "Han Que, please don't glare at me like that. I'm a woman and I'm itching to be flirted with by you, let alone a man."
Han Quejiao snorted: "Where would I go to tease a man? Don't listen to their nonsense."
Yang Lu nodded: "They say you and Lao Gao..." Seeing Han Que frown, she quickly said: "I don't believe it. You have lofty ambitions, how could you fall for him, and he's married."
Han hummed and nodded: "It's good that you know. They are always making things up behind my back, and I can't defend myself."
Yang Lu said, "That's right. They are the ones who are not clean, and the evil ones are the first to complain." Then she leaned over and whispered some interesting anecdotes about Zhu Mei and Gao Ye's business trips. She said that last summer they went on a business trip to Guangzhou to visit clients. Zhu Mei drank too much to protect Gao Ye and fell asleep on Gao Ye's lap in the taxi.

Han smiled, pretending to be very interested, and in a few words turned the topic back to Jiang Jin.
Based on her understanding of Jiang Jin, no matter how cautious he was, he would not act impulsively on his first day in office and reveal any intention that would be detrimental to her.
What's more, he has to face Li Zhekai and explain to Gu Ningwei.
How could Jiang Jin be so stupid?

Han frowned: "R&D department?"

Han nodded.
Yang Lu was surprised: "So you're actually working as a salesman in the sales department?"
Han smiled and said nonchalantly, "So what? There are many people studying bioengineering. It's not a high-tech major. Besides, I only have an undergraduate degree and have never done any scientific research."
She bit her lip and shook her head: "I'm not going to the R&D department, I'm staying here."
Yang Lu thought about it and said, "That's right. Our company's R&D department is not that easy to get into. Teacher Wang..."
She didn't say anything, but she and Han looked at each other, and they understood each other tacitly.
Everyone in the company knows that Mr. Wang, with the confidential formula in his hands, believes that he holds the core secrets of the company. He looks down on everyone, even Li Zhekai is polite to him.

Yu Xiaoli urged her with a smile: "Sister Yang Lu, you'd better leave quickly. Mr. Li asked Sister Han Que to go to his office."

Han knocked on the door and heard someone from inside say "Come in," then he pushed open the door to Li Zhekai's office.
Seeing that both of them were sitting on the sofa, Jiang Jin was holding a few A4 papers in his hand, and Li Zhekai was leaning over, instructing and explaining something.
Hearing the noise, the two of them turned around at the same time and looked at Han Que who was standing at the door.
A beam of sunlight shone in from the glass window, shining on her bright face. Her eyes were smiling, and she looked gentle, polite and graceful.
Li Zhekai was stunned for a moment before pointing to the sofa in front of him. "Xiao Han, come and sit down. Mr. Jiang and I want to talk to you."
Han nodded, walked over lightly, and sat upright on the sofa.
She fixed her gaze on the second button of Li Zhekai's shirt, smiling, looking straight ahead, kneeling together, opening her notebook, holding a pen, pretending to listen attentively.
"It's just a casual chat, don't be nervous." Li Zhekai couldn't help but smile when he saw her reserved look, and said in a relaxed tone: "Xiao Han, if I remember correctly, you have been in the company for several years, right?"
"It's been almost four years," Han said.
"Oh." Li Zhekai nodded, glancing at the serious expression on her face, and said with a soothing smile, "Don't be nervous. President Jiang just arrived and doesn't know the company's situation. Lao Gao was transferred again and left in a hurry, so he didn't have time to hand over the affairs clearly. Han sneered in her heart, this was the trap that Gu Ningwei had set for her.
This made Li Zhekai feel wary of her.

Jiang Jin had been listening quietly without saying a word, and only then did he turn his gaze to Han Que's face.
After a moment of silence, he nodded and said in a deep voice, "Yes, Miss Han is Mr. Gu's friend and has worked in the company for many years. She can support me in getting started as soon as possible. We can work together sincerely to complete the tasks assigned by Mr. Gu."
Han raised his eyes and looked at him.
After a while, Han smiled gently and said, "Thank you for your praise, leaders. I'm just an ordinary employee. My main task is to work hard and meet the performance targets assigned by the department. I don't really know much about other situations, so I can't say that I can cooperate sincerely with President Jiang."
Jiang Jin looked over with a slight sneer on his lips.
Han immediately added, "In the future, under the leadership of General Manager Li and General Manager Jiang, I will do my job well and try my best to exceed the performance targets."
She didn't mention Gu Ningwei at all.
Jiang Jin looked at her face and didn't say anything for a long time.
The atmosphere was awkward and subtle.
Li Zhekai, who was sitting nearby watching the show, smiled and said, "Good, very good. Xiao Han is a down-to-earth person, hardworking and dedicated. Very good. We need employees like him."
He stood up and waved his phone at them. "I'll call home, you guys continue chatting. If there's anything Mr. Jiang needs to know, just ask."
After saying that, he walked out of the office in two steps and slipped away.
Han Que and Jiang Jin were left face to face, their eyes meeting.
There was a long silence: Jiang Jin narrowed his eyes and said, "Han Que, what do you want?"
