Fighting Back

Fighting Back

Hood covered his aching head in an undignified manner. He had not expected that there would be a day when he would be suppressed. The one who was talking to him across the air was a child. Her mental instructions had been issued, and even those monsters with damaged brains were not spared. He did not want to see both sides suffer losses. The purpose of his trip was to completely destroy Utopia.

But under the influence of psychic powers, they lost their main attacking force, and Hood had to pass the order to evacuate to the members of the Saint Society.

When Wen Liao's army lost its aggressiveness, it was the beginning of Utopia's counterattack. The first team led by Zhou Zhe quickly launched a massacre of the aliens. Those rotten corpses fell from the sky and smashed into meat patties.

Hundreds of dead birds crashed onto the Law Enforcement Building. No one expected that they would generate electric current and explode after death. They smashed down from the concrete glass about three floors above. The shadow cast by them was like a giant's palm.

Huo Chi gave up thinking. Jiang Ziyao was holding Wang Youyou, and he threw him down.

Jiang Ziyao watched as sparks burned from every inch of Huo Chi's hair and his back was wrapped in flames. He raised one hand and the flame in his palm shot toward the sky. He planned to act calmly and be a real man. Although Huo Chi was not confident that he could hold up the sky directly, he knew it would be very painful and the hard object would most likely pierce him under the high speed fall.

Jiang Ziyao had no time to criticize Huo Chi for his recklessness. He immediately freed one hand to protect Huo Chi's back with a shovel. They closed their eyes at the same time, but the result was completely different from what they expected.

In the gray sky and the floating smoke, a ray of light was reflected in Jiang Ziyao's eyes, and a huge circle of light came in.

Huo Chi saw this scene from Jiang Ziyao's eyes. He looked up. The aperture was very large, the largest they had ever seen. It seemed to be able to cover everything.

The two of them turned their heads in tacit understanding. It was indeed Liu Xin's work. She knelt at the foot of the building with her hands raised above her head. Liu Xin's back did not bend. She bit her lower lip and licked her own blood. Even though her tendons were cramped, she managed to teleport the falling building through the torn space to the outside of Utopia.

Liu Xin fell down only after making sure there were no threats around. Half of her face was covered with sand, and the twitching blood vessels in her neck proved that she was still breathing. She could still see the windowsill of the Law Enforcement Building in her field of vision. The place that carried her memories had not collapsed. She tasted the blood and dared not shift her gaze an inch. In this way, she could admit the fact that her family had left later.

Jiang Ziyao heard the loud vibration, the steel bars and cement were inserted into the soil, and the Law Enforcement Building seemed to be missing a piece. He quickly got up from the ground and put his fingers lightly on Wang Youyou's neck.

His pale face finally burst into joy, "She's still alive! She's still alive!" Jiang Ziyao's heart hadn't completely sunk to the bottom yet. He hugged Wang Youyou and ran into the original battlefield: "Where is Doctor Ye! She can still be saved!"

Huo Chi clung to this hope tightly. He ran faster and met a team head-on. The leader happened to be Wang Ji. Smoke was coming out of their gun muzzles and the smelly bodies of zombies were scattered on the ground.

"Are you looking for someone?" Wang Ji said. He saw Jiang Ziyao and Huo Chi walking in a hurry. "Brother, most of the living people are now near the infirmary. Let's decide where to meet. Have you seen other survivors? The people I'm with are searching for living people."

"There are a bunch of people in the Law Enforcer Building who need you to rescue." Huo Chi immediately pointed him in a direction, and they quickly separated at the intersection.

Jiang Ziyao was the first to hear the sound of gunfire and the loud shouts of the crowd. Bian Chengsi distributed guns to everyone. He and Zhou Ting led the ordinary people to launch a counterattack with significant results.

A makeshift tent had been set up in front of the medical room, there were wounded people everywhere, and the men were restlessly loading bullets into their guns.

"Doctor Ye!" Huo Chi didn't care about anyone else and yelled. Jiang Ziyao saw the back of the woman in the white coat. She was squatting on the ground, looking after someone.

"I need you!" Jiang Ziyao hurriedly hugged Wang Youyou and squeezed forward.

Ye Qian turned around and saw that it was Jiang Ziyao. She breathed a sigh of relief and said, "What's the situation? Come here quickly!"

Jiang Ziyao and Huo Chi were walking past the heels of people when suddenly a hand stopped them.

“We were first.”

A man suddenly stretched out his arms and stood in front of Jiang Ziyao.

Jiang Ziyao lowered his head and passed directly under his arm. He noticed that there was a steel bar stuck in the thigh of the man's companion, but Jiang Ziyao didn't care about that. Wang Youyou's breathing was gradually weakening, and he couldn't wait.

"Youyou just used her special power and she is not feeling well now." Jiang Ziyao said.

"Put her down." Ye Qian responded.

Jiang Ziyao half-knelt and quickly placed Wang Youyou on the ground. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and breathed heavily.

"I told you it was us who started it!" The man suddenly pushed Jiang Ziyao on the shoulder, and he was caught off guard and fell to the ground.

Jiang Ziyao turned around and glared at him. He almost fell on Wang Youyou just now, and the sharp glass left on the ground cut a gash on his hand.

"You know what, queue up! You don't have any special privileges now!"

The man shook the rifle on his shoulder threateningly. Huo Chi, who was standing next to him, flew over like a baseball and rushed forward, knocking the man away.

The man fell flat on his back with sand in his mouth.

Jiang Ziyao ignored what was happening behind him. His eyes were fixed on Ye Qian, hoping that she could use her powerful healing ability to wake Wang Youyou up.

The man quickly got up from the ground and raised his guns with his companions, aiming at Huo Chi and him: "We won't let you black-hearted ghosts get away with it again!"

The man's companion was lying on the ground, still screaming in pain. The man was very angry: "Save my people first, hurry up!"

"You can use alcohol to disinfect his wound first. It will only take a moment to pull out the steel bar." Jiang Ziyao said quickly.

Jiang Ziyao's impatient tone made the man very unhappy: "No!"

He rushed over and Huo Chi stood in front of him.

"You can't die! Are you in a hurry to reincarnate?" Jiang Ziyao yelled back.

Ye Qian's palm was covering Wang Youyou's forehead. This warm light could not calm Jiang Ziyao's emotions, and he was a little out of control.

"Fuck you!" The man's lips twitched and he flipped the safety directly. The bullet was loaded.

"Who are you scolding? Huh?!" Huo Chi was also very annoyed. He clenched his fist and smashed it on the man's jawbone. His palm directly covered the tip of the gun. Flames suddenly emerged and dissolved half of the gun.

The man hasn't even pulled the trigger yet, and his gun is gone. Normally, a person cannot be faster than a bullet, but the premise is that the person being pointed at by the gun is not an alien.

Huo Chi angrily threw the half-gun in the man's hand to the ground: "You think you can do it just because you have a stick? I won't reason with any of you now. If you have the guts, kill me. If you don't, just stay aside! I will burn anyone who offends me to death!"

The fire under Huo Chi's feet was burning, and sparks were flashing in his eyes, forcing the people around him to be quiet. His actions were immoral, but this was not a place where morality was important.

Ye Qian's treatment lasted a total of five minutes, and her lost expression said it all. She shook her head regretfully at Jiang Ziyao: "She is a good child. Does Captain Wang know about her situation?"

"Even you can't save her?" Jiang Ziyao was silent for a while, his hopes dashed, and he was a little bit unbelievable.

"She didn't suffer any external injuries." Ye Qian said helplessly: "This is the backlash of the superpower. I can't help her, but her body is still alive. This is the only good news. I don't know if she can wake up. Maybe tomorrow, or maybe forever."

Ye Qian comforted her: "This is not your fault. As long as she uses her supernatural power, the damage cannot be reversed."

"Let her rest in the tent."

The world in front of Jiang Ziyao's eyes became dim. He nodded and rubbed his eyes to make sure that this was not a nightmare. He didn't know how to digest this result, especially when Wang Yu appeared, he didn't know how to face her.

Wang Yu returned quickly with her team. After clearing out the threats, she rushed to the Law Enforcement Building as soon as possible and brought Mo Yu and the others back safely.

Mo Yu was holding Su Yunyun's body. Falling down the building without any protection would not cause her much harm, but her spinal cord below the waist was precisely severed. When Wang Yu found them, Su Yunyun was already beyond help.

"There is saline solution in the infirmary. The nutritional supply must not be cut off while she is unconscious." Ye Qian instructed, "She has a chance to wake up again."

Wang Yu nodded and stepped into the tent. Everyone tactfully made room for her. She stroked Wang Youyou's cheek and whispered in her ear, "You have always been my pride. I am willing to exchange my life for your health."

Wang Yu kissed her forehead. She left Wang Youyou without saying a word, but she was calmer than anyone who knew her would have imagined.

"I'm a loser." Wang Yu said. She faced Jiang Ziyao and looked at him calmly.

"The same to you."

Jiang Ziyao felt like vomiting, his throat was tight, and even his stomach was aching. He pinched the wound on his palm and forced himself to accept reality. He didn't see any resentment in Wang Yu's eyes, so maybe she wasn't being sarcastic.

Wang Yu left after saying this. Although she had temporarily lost Wang Youyou, she was still the captain of the second team and she had to be responsible for her teammates.

Liu Xin wiped Su Yunyun's cheek and tidied her hair. Wang Yu placed her hands on Liu Xin and Mo Yu's shoulders respectively, "Choose a home for her. I will watch her burial."

The slight weight on her shoulders made Liu Xin choke up. She threw herself into Wang Yu's arms and broke down crying, "I killed her. It was me. She was always very cautious. She was smarter and calmer than me. I killed her, Captain. I killed Su Yunyun."

Her voice was hoarse as if she had swallowed a stone in her throat. After she had vented her emotions, Wang Yu grabbed Liu Xin's hand and said to her coldly, "That's not someone you can deal with. I wasn't by your side. It's my fault."

"But you must be clear! The murderers are the Saint Society and Wen Liao!"

"Wen Liao broke the door and let the monster in. The saint will kill our family! This is our shame. After sending our family away, we should pick up the knife and kill the enemy with our own hands! I will help Su Yunyun get revenge with my own hands."

"team leader……"

The first team and Bian Chengsi returned with other survivors. Chen Yu was very worried about Zhou Zhe.

Wen Liao, when Zhou Zhe heard those two words full of hatred from Wang Yu, he felt that he had no face to appear in front of his comrades again.

When Wen Liao was lying in the ruins, he had the chance to kill him, but he didn't do it. Zhou Zhe hated his own weakness, but he could never kill Wen Liao because all the sins came from the Zhou family and from himself.

Zhou Zhe stood at the end of the team, hiding his aching hand, refusing the concern of his teammates, and sat quietly in an open space far away, but his idea of hiding himself failed to come true.

Zhou Ting left Bian Chengsi and knelt down beside Su Yunyun, covering her mouth to mourn her family who lived side by side with her. When the Zhou brothers and sisters appeared, the smoke in the air instantly reached a critical point, and the people around them stared at them with hostile eyes as if they were monsters.

Utopia has not yet recovered from the war, the comfortable environment has been broken, death and danger sting people's emotions, everyone is angry, and everyone has his or her own reason for anger.

The men began to wipe the guns in their hands. They were very excited when they shot the monsters just now. The smell of blood and death aroused their bloodiness, especially when they were angry, which became gunpowder that could explode at any time. They were deceived by Zhou Kangcheng, and the devil in human skin was dead, which made them feel that they had great hope of resistance.

Jiang Ziyao suddenly covered his forehead. Huo Chi noticed that he was feeling uncomfortable and immediately supported him. He asked anxiously, "Brother Jiang, what's wrong with you? Is your head hurting again?"

"What's wrong with him?"

Jiang Ziyao found himself quickly surrounded by dark shadows. He raised his heavy eyelids and knew clearly that the other voice belonged to Bian Chengsi.

"I'm fine." Jiang Ziyao shook his head. His legs felt a little weak. He had always been strong, and such a reaction made him unsure. Perhaps it was a sequelae of the text. He put his hand on Huo Chi's arm, trying to stand firmly, but Huo Chi held him tightly and did not give him the chance.

"Show him." Bian Chengsi stood next to Huo Chi, and his eyes began to look for Ye Qian.

"Not a drop of blood was shed, why are you being so pretentious here?" complained the man who had argued with Huo Chi.

Huo Chi didn't want to teach him a lesson, but he was still shaking with anger: "You'd better shut up--!"

"Come on! If I'm afraid of you, I'd be a coward!" The man looked equally angry.

"We can't have any more disputes now." Jiang Ziyao held Huo Chi. Huo Chi understood what he meant, but couldn't accept his harshness towards him. "You have to make me believe that you will be fine. Other people have nothing to do with me. I'm worried about you."

Jiang Ziyao's face looked bad, his lips were pale and bloodless, and the hair on his forehead was wet with cold sweat and stuck to his face, looking like a piece of fragile paper, but his eyes were still stubborn.

Bian Chengsi wanted to call for help, but Jiang Ziyao still shook his head: "I'm not injured, it might be that I really have low blood sugar, I just need to rest for a while."

"Huo Chi, it's too noisy around here."

"Let's go to the side." Huo Chi's heart softened immediately. He didn't agree but listened to Jiang Ziyao's words.

Bian Chengsi subconsciously reached into his pocket for a candy. There were a lot of candies in the base, and he always put one in his pocket. It was a habit he had developed, but when he put his fingers in, he only felt broken candy residue. He looked at his palms covered in dust and blood, said nothing, and touched his hair with his empty hands.

Huo Chi helped Jiang Ziyao sit down. He asked someone for a bottle of water and carefully fed him a few sips.

Bian Chengsi chose to quietly retreat at this time. Before, Zhou Ting must have pulled him away by the ear. He drooped his eyelids and silently looked away. His eyes involuntarily found Zhou Ting. He always knew where Zhou Ting was, just like she could always notice when he secretly looked at her.

Bian Chengsi withdrew his gaze as if he had been electrocuted. He was most afraid of the girl's sad eyes, and he had lost the qualification to comfort her. If what Zhou Kangcheng said was true, then he killed her mother when he was young and killed her father when he was older. He was sorry for Zhou Ting.

The crowd was restless beside the dilapidated building. In this gloomy and depressing atmosphere, someone needed to stand up.

So Bian Chengsi decided to stand up.

"Just because the enemy has left temporarily doesn't mean they won't come back. Take advantage of the opportunity to rest. We must defend Utopia together! We must defend our own Utopia!"

Bian Chengsi angrily told everyone that he was now a hero who killed demons, and the lost lambs needed a hero with leadership to stand up.
