This conversation also played out among the others. Tang Yue stood still, listening quietly for a while, and the others wondered why the young girl had stopped talking. Although they were resentful that a young girl was about to become their company commander, the soldier's instinct to obey orders prevented them from continuing their whispers.
Sunlight streamed onto the training ground, and the soldiers of the Fourth Company stood ramrod straight, their eyes occasionally glancing at the small figure standing in front of them. Although Tang Yue was petite, she possessed an undeniable aura.
Actually, if Tang Yue hadn't been the company commander herself, she would have found it somewhat amusing. After all, having a group of grown men being managed by a child who was just over four years old but not quite five was a bit...unconventional.
However, when this happened to her, Tang Yue's thoughts changed. If we're really talking about age, she didn't know how many years older she was than these people. She cleared her throat.
"Alright, I know what you're thinking." Tang Yue's clear voice broke the silence on the training ground.
"Let me introduce myself first. My name is Tang Yue. I am the newly appointed company commander of the Fourth Company. I am a little over four years old this year. I know you are not convinced by me, but that's okay. We can let our strength speak for itself."
The soldiers of the Fourth Company looked at each other in bewilderment. Four years old? What had they just heard? And why did this little girl pause so many times when she spoke?
She did it on purpose, didn't she? She definitely did, didn't she?
Furthermore, they hadn't expected this little girl to be so direct. Was it appropriate for such a tiny girl to challenge them right off the bat? They were genuinely afraid they'd accidentally kill her with a single punch.
But this little girl is really brave. That kind of spirit is actually quite impressive. A complex mix of emotions welled up within them—surprise, curiosity, and a hint of defiance.
They can't just let her boss them around because she's young. What kind of company would that be?
"What, no one wants to come up?" Tang Yue's gaze swept over everyone, her expression natural, showing no fear despite her young age.
Finally, a burly soldier stepped forward. When everyone saw it was Li Tiezhu, they gasped. This Li Tiezhu really was someone who dared to step into any situation.
He's a well-known strongman in the Fourth Company. He's really asking for trouble comparing himself to a four-year-old toddler.
Someone yelled at Li Tiezhu, "Hey, Tiezhu, how can you be so shameless? Look at your big physique, what are you up to if you try to compare yourself to our company commander?"
"Haha, that's right. Come back quickly."
"Ha ha."
The crowd had already forgotten about Chang Yin and Tang Yue still standing at the front, and began to tease them. There was no other reason; they genuinely didn't believe Tang Yue could compare to Li Tiezhu. The two were simply incomparable.
Li Tiezhu blushed slightly at what was said, but he still stood in front without backing down. "She can be a company commander, so of course she's capable. What's wrong with me competing with a company commander?"
The company commander just said that she would let her abilities speak for themselves.
After Li Tiezhu finished speaking to the men of the Fourth Company, he turned around and looked at Tang Yue.
"Company commander, I'd like to have a match with you."
In truth, Li Tiezhu also felt that Tang Yue was no match for him, but the thought of this group of burly men being led by a four-year-old girl was unsettling. He reasoned that the little girl was so tiny, so he would try to outmuscle her; if she couldn't win, she wouldn't be able to continue being their company commander, right?
Tang Yue nodded; this was a good opportunity for her to establish her authority. How could she let it slip by? "Okay, what do you want to compete in?"
Li Tiezhu looked down at Tang Yue and chuckled, "Company Commander, you're too short. If we fight directly, I'll be taking advantage of you. Let's just compare strength."
Tang Yue narrowed her eyes slightly. Short? Tang Yue gritted her teeth. Good lad, just you wait!
Li Tiezhu is unaware that he is about to live a life of misery.
Tang Yue curled her lips into a wicked smile. "Alright, let's compare strength then."
Li Tiezhu...
Why did he suddenly find the company commander's smile so creepy? He shook his head, not daring to think about it; he must have been mistaken.
Li Tiezhu walked to a corner of the training ground, where several heavy stone weights were placed. Each weighed 200 jin (approximately 100 kg). He took a deep breath, grabbed one of the stone weights with both hands, and with a strong pull, lifted it high into the air.
The soldiers erupted in cheers, and Li Tiezhu's face broke into a smug smile. He turned to Tang Yue, "Company Commander, please."
Tang Yue walked up to the stone lock, her eyes devoid of any emotion. Everyone watched as Tang Yue gently placed her small hand on the stone lock, and with a light lift, she easily raised it.
The surroundings fell silent instantly. Not only were the soldiers of the Fourth Company stunned, but even the curious onlookers who had quietly come to watch the show were also stunned.
Is she even human? Are they sure this little girl in front of them is only four years old? She's not an adult, and she can practice bone-shrinking techniques? It's simply unbelievable.
Li Tiezhu's excited expression froze on his face. He thought that if he lifted 200 jin (100 kg), the little girl would give up. But what he saw was that she actually lifted it.
Moreover, he could sense that the little girl seemed to have used almost no strength when she lifted her up. How could that be? This made Li Tiezhu more cautious.
"Company commander, you're really strong, but this isn't over yet. Let's have another contest."
Tang Yue gave him a knowing look.
Li Tiezhu was much more serious this time. He was quite strong, and during his usual training he only trained to lift 400 jin (200 catties), which he could lift, but it still required some strength.
