Tang Yue didn't want to discuss these pointless topics with Xu Zhenfei; it didn't really matter whether he trained or not.
Xu Zhenfei seemed to be obsessed with something, working tirelessly every day like he was on steroids. And you know what? After a period of training, the boy looked noticeably more energetic. He was only nine years old, but he looked different from the other kids in the compound.
Following their sister's instructions, the Tang brothers shuttled between the military base and the family compound every day. After studying during the day, they continued their cultivation at night. Tang Yue discovered that Tang Dong had reached the critical point of breaking through to the first level of Qi Refining.
Tang Dong's speed and endurance were clearly superior to Tang Bei and Tang Nan's. This was what puzzled Xu Zhenfei. These three brothers had never trained before and had no foundation whatsoever, yet they were significantly better than him in every event they trained in.
After a period of training, it seems that the three brothers' abilities are now almost on par with those of the people in the Fourth Company.
Several company commanders noticed this problem and found it strange. Were all the children in the Tang family geniuses? Naturally gifted? Otherwise, how could those kids be so capable?
Tang Yue hasn't been training with the Fourth Company every day lately. They think Tang Yue's abilities have reached their peak, and they can't catch up no matter what they try. Tang Yue doesn't want to further provoke them, so lately, while they train, she seems to be lazily resting under a tree.
In fact, she works very hard. Recently, she broke through to the 7th level of Qi Refining. This is thanks to the higher concentration of spiritual energy in the army, which made her cultivation faster.
When it was time to leave work, Tang Yue strolled home. She was still some distance from her house when she heard a series of "ha-ha" sounds coming from the direction of her house. Tang Yue raised an eyebrow and quickened her pace.
As she got closer, Tang Yue confirmed that the sound was coming from her house. Tang Yue entered the yard and walked around the house, and sure enough, she saw the three Tang brothers training a group of aunts and grandmothers from the family compound, including Lin Cuicui.
Lin Cuicui is now quite far along in her pregnancy, and her belly is protruding noticeably, but she doesn't seem clumsy at all, training in rhythm with Tang Bei's shouts.
Seeing Tang Yue return, the group didn't stop working; instead, they seemed to put in even more effort. A hint of excitement lingered on their faces, as if they wanted to show off to Tang Yue.
Tang Yue watched quietly for 20 minutes. When Tang Bei said "Dismissed," everyone stopped what they were doing, and several aunties ran up to Tang Yue.
"Company Commander Tang, how's our training going?"
"Yes, Company Commander Tang, could you give us some guidance?"
Several aunties and older women came over to inquire, seemingly eager to gain Tang Yue's approval.
"Yes, yes, that's great. The aunties are all wonderful."
The group left satisfied. Tang Yue looked at Tang Bei teasingly, "Big brother, I didn't expect you to become an instructor."
Tang Bei's face was flushed. Lin Cuicui came over and rubbed Tang Yue's head. "Stop teasing your older brother. It's all because of Mom."
Seeing the confusion in Tang Yue's eyes, Lin Cuicui continued to explain, "Hey! Weren't those spies still somewhere? Your older brothers have been training quite well lately, so I was thinking of having them teach me too, so I won't be a hindrance if anything happens."
Before I'd even practiced for two days, several of the women in the neighborhood came over and said they wanted to learn with me. I figured it wouldn't matter if I taught one or more, so soon there were more and more people joining.
Today was the busiest time. Your older brother spent a little longer explaining the techniques to them, which is why it took so long. Come on, let's go back inside; Mom needs to hurry and cook dinner.
Tang Nan popped his head out from behind Tang Yue, "Haha, Mom, you've worked hard. Dongzi, Grandpa, and I cooked dinner together. We have evening classes tonight, so we can't be late."
Come inside and eat.
Lin Cuicui agreed, feeling that these days were the best she had ever experienced. Tang Yue said that her pregnancy was tough, and she was hardly allowed to do any housework. In addition, with her father and several children at home, she had to do all the chores.
She only does needlework occasionally, and Tang Yue often comes over to remind her.
Lin Cuicui has been diligently practicing her cultivation every day lately, and she looks much younger than she did back in Qiligou. At over 30 years old, she looks no different from a 25 or 26-year-old girl. This has prompted many of the older women in the compound to ask her for her beauty secrets.
Lin Cuicui had already established a wide network of connections within the compound.
Sitting at the dinner table, Lin Cuicui seemed to just remember, "Oh right, honey, all those dried fish you asked me to dry have been collected today. They look pretty good. When are you going to send them to your sister Lai?"
They sent us so much food and supplies; we can't take advantage of them.
When Lin Cuicui brought it up, Tang Yue also remembered. She had been busy with training lately, and her plans to go to Japan had really taken a backseat to other things.
Last time, Li Qingyang called to say someone had sent her a letter. Two days later, the postman actually delivered it. The letter was from Lai Xiang, whom they had met briefly in Beijing.
She said the reason she was writing to her so late was because she had spent a lot of time finding out their address before writing to her. She asked how they were doing on the South Island and whether they were settling in.
She was worried that the family might be having difficulties here, so she sent them a lot of daily necessities, and even a lot of tickets. All in all, it must have cost her two or three hundred yuan.
They said the package should arrive around the same time as the letter, and asked Tang Yue to go to the post office to pick it up.
Tang Yue and her family hardly ever leave the military base these days. When Sun Jinan went to the post office to pick up some things for them, Lin Cuicui was shocked when he returned. How could they possibly accept so much stuff?
