Old Li was speaking from the heart. He felt that if Tang Laosan's family stayed in the village, their safety would be at risk if they weren't so lucky as to run into soldiers again.
Qian Dazhi also agreed with Old Li's statement.
"Old Li is right. Third brother, your legs aren't very strong right now. You should take the kids and your wife and go out to hide for a while. It's not too late to come back after this storm has passed. Your life is the most important thing."
Tang Shengkai and Lin Cuicui remained silent. They knew that leaving was the best option, but where could they go if they left Qiligou?
