Chapter 249 Interrogation Turmoil

249

Tang Yue said calmly, "I won't. My family is here, my friends are here, and this land has gradually given me a sense of belonging. If China doesn't harm me and my family, I will never betray it." The atmosphere in the car immediately relaxed a lot.

The car quickly drove back to the unit. They didn't try to hide along the way; there were no more ambushes on the road. Tang Yue sat in her room, a new idea forming in her mind.

Actually, she really wanted to interrogate Nie Youyu with the battalion commander. She wondered if the calamities her family had suffered were related to this guy. If they were, she really didn't want him to live for even a minute longer.

Just before dawn, there was a knock on Tang Yue's door.

"Battalion Commander? Why are you back?"

Chang Yin showed no signs of fatigue as he entered Tang Yue's room. "Nie Youyu is very stubborn; he hasn't said a word so far."

Tang Yue raised an eyebrow. "Where are Wu Jinghui and Nie Qianwen?"

"Nie Qianwen knew nothing. She seemed to have suffered a huge blow and kept shouting that it was impossible and that she could not be a descendant of the Japanese. She was very emotional. Wu Jinghui showed no remorse and only said that she would follow her husband wherever he went."

Tang Yue nodded; this Wu Jinghui was quite interesting. "The battalion commander wanted to see me about truth serum?"

Chang Yin nodded. "This matter has caused quite a stir, and the higher-ups have been closely monitoring the situation, asking for updates every hour. Commander Huang has no other choice but to come to you."

Tang Yue was not surprised. She went to the bedside, found the small bag that Chang Yin always carried with her, took out a packet of medicine, and handed it to Chang Yin.

"Battalion Commander, can I go with you?"

Chang Yin turned to look at her, "Too many people are paying attention to this matter right now. Commander Kang's intention is to keep you out of the public eye."

Tang Yue was speechless. She was the one who exposed the incident, so how could she possibly stay out of it? But even if she wasn't allowed to go, she would still find out about it immediately.

Tang Yue's consciousness followed Chang Yin to a very secluded place. After passing through layers of defense, Chang Yin entered a heavily guarded two-story building.

Upon reaching the second floor, Commander Huang emerged from a room and said, "You're back."

"Yes, sir." He subtly touched his jacket pocket as he spoke.

The truth spray has been reported to the national authorities, but not every unit is equipped with it. Commander Huang's unit doesn't have it. If they apply to higher authorities, countless eyes will be watching.

Now they are paranoid and don't even know which of the people around them are their comrades.

Chang Yin was already very skilled at this. He poured warm water into a cup, added some truth serum powder, shook it well, and then went into an interrogation room next door.

Nie Youyu remained languidly leaning back in his chair, looking completely relaxed. It seemed that nothing around him had any effect on him.

"Have a glass of water." Chang Yin's voice was completely flat.

Nie Youyu glanced at the cup on the table and spoke for the first time since entering the room, "Did you put in truth serum?"

Chang Yin showed no extra expression, while the two interrogators behind him were somewhat surprised, not expecting Nie Youyu to know so much.

Chang Yin didn't speak, but picked up the cup and walked in front of Nie Youyu. Nie Youyu understood what Chang Yin was going to do and immediately tried to resist. Chang Yin pressed Nie Youyu down with one arm, making him unable to move at all.

He glanced at the two people behind him, one of them took the cup from Chang Yin's hand, and Chang Yin used his free hand to dislocate Nie Youyu's jaw and pour the truth serum into his mouth.

Two minutes later, "Who are you?"

Nie Youyu was a beat slow to react, "Nie Youyu."

"You are Japanese."

"no!"

"Then why would you hide Japanese samurai clothing in your own home?"

"I'm just interested in their culture, but relations between the two countries are not good, and my position doesn't allow me to do such a thing. I can only study it quietly."

Chang Yin stood quietly behind the two interrogators, listening intently. Seeing that the interrogators seemed determined to continue questioning him, Chang Yin delivered a swift chop to the neck, knocking one of them unconscious. The other interrogator, bewildered, stared intently at Chang Yin.

Chang Yin glanced at the other cup on the table, a cold smile playing on his lips. This time, he didn't rely on anyone else; he poured the water from the other cup into Nie Youyu's mouth. Nie Youyu resisted even more fiercely this time. But he was no match for Chang Yin's strength.

He saw terror in Nie Youyu's eyes. Chang Yin turned to look at the other interrogator, who swallowed hard under Chang Yin's gaze. "I'm not a spy, I'm sure of it."

Chang Yin poured some more truth serum into the cup in front of him, then added some water. "Sorry, I don't trust anyone right now. I won't ask any inappropriate questions."

Chang Yin's meaning was clear, and Wang Zhao nodded. He picked up the cup and drank it down.

"Who are you? Are you a spy?"

"No, how could I be a spy? I hate those spies who sabotage China. I'm determined to wipe them all out."

Chang Yin confirmed Wang Zhao's identity. Commander Huang and his men in the other room also witnessed the situation. They hadn't expected that despite their tight security, someone had still managed to infiltrate.

Commander Huang came over and looked at Chang Yin, "Should we check them one by one?"

Chang Yin nodded solemnly, "Chief, if we don't investigate, the news could very quickly leak out."

Commander Huang had a headache. "How long does this thing last?"

"About six hours."

Commander Huang put his hands on his hips and said, "If we all drink this stuff, how are we supposed to get back to work? What if spies come along during this time? Will we all be wiped out?"
