Chapter 26 This little girl is acting strangely

Qian Dazhi glared at Old Li, then stood up, leaning on his hunting rifle, and looked towards Tang Yue. He was dumbfounded. His body froze on the spot.

Having just climbed up the mountain, Qian Dazhi hadn't paid much attention when he saw Tang Yue lying unharmed on the rocky beach with two spy corpses beside her. But as he stood up and looked upwards, he saw several more spy corpses lying on the ground, and for a moment, Qian Dazhi was stunned.

His mind was a mess, buzzing. How could this be? At a glance, there were probably more than twenty of them. His head didn't move, but his eyes drifted towards Tang Yue.

Could a little girl, whose height isn't even as long as his legs, possibly kill more than twenty spies in one go?

The answer is no. The little girl couldn't possibly do it alone. Just a few days ago she almost died from a stroke; how could she kill someone so easily?

After thinking about it, Qian Dazhi felt that there must be a master helping him. Could it be that the army was on a mission here and he just happened to be there?

Judging from the rapid gunshots just now, it's really hard to say. Thinking this way, Qian Dazhi felt better.

He took two steps forward, looked down at Tang Yue, and asked, "Yueyue, where are the people who helped you? Have they left again?"

Tang Yue had been watching Qian Dazhi's reactions closely, noticing the constant changes in his expression. She hadn't planned to explain, as such a thing was absurd, but unexpectedly, in just a short while, Qian Dazhi had already come up with an excuse for her.

Before Tang Yue could speak, Old Li stood up, his expression even more exaggerated than Qian Dazhi's. However, recalling Qian Dazhi's words, his gaze also drifted towards Tang Yue.

Tang Yue sat lazily on the ground. "Yes, we just killed those spies and left without stopping."

"Grandpa Qian, Grandpa Li, let's get to work."

Old Li didn't react for a moment. Qian Dazhi had already walked to the nearest corpse and started to strip it of its clothes, occasionally rummaging in the pockets, and the money he pulled out was wrapped in a secret agent's overcoat.

Old Li's mouth gaped open, and he didn't move for a long time. This? He swallowed hard. The third brother's family is really rich now. Not to mention the large sums of money, just these guns and bullets are enough to make anyone envious.

Tang Yue stepped forward to help. The three of them had searched sixteen or seventeen corpses. When there were still a few left to search, Tang Yue, with her sharp ears, heard Lin Cuicui and Tang Shengkai's footsteps getting closer. Moreover, not far from them, there was another set of footsteps that were about to meet them.

"Comrade Chen, what brings you up the mountain?"

"Huff, huff, huff!" Chen Qingshan put his hands on his hips, panting heavily, and pointed to the mountaintop. "I heard gunshots from up there. I knew there were a lot of people, so I thought I'd come up and help."

At this moment, there was no more gunfire on the mountain. Lin Cuicui knew that Old Li and Qian Dazhi had gone up ahead of them and were not making a sound. Although she was anxious, she thought it probably wasn't a bad thing.

If they hadn't seen Yueyue, they would have called out to her a few times, but they didn't.

"Comrade Chen, we don't know what the situation is up on the mountain. Why don't you go back to the village first and wait for us to go up and check it out. If there's no danger, then you can come up."

Chen Qingshan supported himself on his knee with one hand and shook his head vigorously with the other, "No need, it's been so long since I've climbed a mountain. If I go down, I'm afraid I'll never be able to come back up."

Lin Cuicui thought he might actually be the one in question. Tang Shengkai also took a few breaths. "Thank you for your hard work, Comrade Chen. Let's go together then."

In just a short while, Tang Yue and her group had finished examining all 23 corpses. Tang Yue knew that Chen Qingshan had come up with them, and they could also hear faint footsteps coming from the foot of the mountain.

It's possible that the villagers heard the gunfire stop on the mountain and wanted to come up to see what was going on.

Tang Yue led Qian Dazhi and Old Li to move all the things to a pile of stones some distance away. After they were all in place, Tang Yue casually placed a few stones on the ground.

After she placed the last stone in a spot, the pile of things that the group had just collected suddenly disappeared.

"Yueyue, where did our things go? Where did they go?"

Old Li was getting anxious. They had searched high and low for ages to get their hands on this stuff, and it was all really good stuff. There was money, food, guns and bullets, and quite a few grenades too.

So many things vanished before his eyes all at once; Old Li couldn't stay calm at all.

Qian Dazhi glanced at Tang Yue suspiciously but didn't say anything, though his expression was one of utter shock.

At this moment, Qian Dazhi couldn't help but have some doubts. Were those spies really killed by someone just passing by? Or...?

But is that even possible? Looking at the tiny head that barely reached his thigh, Qian Zhida fell into deep doubt.

"Dad, Mom!"

Before Qian Dazhi and Old Li could react, Tang Yue had already reached the edge of the rocky beach and shouted down the mountain, instantly snapping them out of their reverie.

The two exchanged a glance, saying nothing, but a deep fear flashed through their hearts. This little girl was no ordinary person; they would have to think more carefully about their words and actions in the future.

At the same time, a faint sense of envy rose in their hearts for Tang Shengkai and Lin Cuicui. Why didn't they have a daughter like that?

"Yueyue!"

"Yueyue!"

Upon hearing Tang Yue's voice, Tang Shengkai and Lin Cuicui called out in unison, as the group was already close to emerging from the woods.

"Mom and Dad, I'm here, I'm fine."

Hearing Tang Yue's cries, Tang Shengkai and Lin Cuicui finally felt relieved. Only then did Tang Shengkai realize his legs were trembling and he was having difficulty walking, but he gritted his teeth and made his way out of the woods to the bottom of the rocky beach.
