Tang Yue watched in her mind as Takahashi Shota repeatedly tried to jump off the boat into the sea, failing each time. Tang Yue wondered, did Takahashi think the sea was safer than the boat?
Does he have some misunderstanding about the word "safety"?
Shota Takahashi woke up groggily, rubbing his throbbing forehead. What happened to him? How could he have slept so soundly? Wait! No, a sound sleep? How could that be?
He hadn't had a proper night's sleep in many years. No matter what, as soon as he lay in bed, countless formulas would flash through his mind, leading to thoughts of what types of drugs or bacteria could form and what harm they would cause to the human body.
These things kept haunting him, and he couldn't sleep at all.
Takahashi immediately opened his eyes, looked around but didn't find anything different, then looked down at the bed. Hatoyama Wasabi was still fast asleep.
"Miss Aoi? Miss Aoi?"
Takahashi's voice grew louder and louder, but Hatoyama Aoi remained motionless. Something was wrong. At his volume, even the deepest sleeper would hear him, but Aoi was like a dead person.
If it weren't for the fact that she was still breathing under her nose, he would have thought Miss Aoi was dead. Worst of all, Takahashi couldn't remember why they had fallen asleep.
He sensed something was very wrong. Ignoring Wasabi Hatoyama, he rushed out of the room, only to find the hallway deserted. Takahashi dared not make a sound; he had a bodyguard who lived next door.
Normally, as soon as the door to his room opens, the person on the other side will appear immediately. There would even be someone standing guard outside the door. But now there's no one outside.
He knocked gently on the door for a long time, but there was no response. What did that mean? Something must have happened to those people.
"Escape!" That was the only thought that popped into Takahashi's mind. He first ran to the room next to the bodyguard's, which was his laboratory. It contained a lot of medicines and poisons. Takahashi haphazardly swept the contents into a large bag, grabbed it, and ran out.
There was still no one in the hallway, and no sound. Takahashi ran to the deck, intending to get a small boat to escape. But for some reason, no matter how he tried to unlock the door, he couldn't open the door to the boat.
Takahashi was on the verge of collapse. He remembered his superior officer on the ship. But he couldn't open the officer's door either. Finally, Takahashi stumbled onto the deck. Could he not go back? Was he truly gone forever?
Countless faces flashed through his mind, depicting people suffering agonizingly from the germs he had created. Takahashi's face began to contort. No, he absolutely did not want to die like that.
Takahashi wanted to jump off the ship; even if he drowned, he didn't want to die a torturous death. He had been hesitant at first, but as he mentally prepared himself to jump into the sea, an invisible barrier bounced him back.
"What? Does he not even qualify to jump into the sea?" This ignited Takahashi Shota's fighting spirit; he was determined to drown. And so, Tang Yue discovered the person who was constantly ramming against the barrier wall.
Tang Yue had been very confident in her sleeping potion; she thought these people would sleep for at least three days and three nights. However, Takahashi only slept for a little over ten hours. This suddenly made Tang Yue feel a sense of crisis.
She had some suspicions. Takahashi was a ruthless man. He must have personally tested those poisons when he was researching them.
Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense how he had such strong drug resistance. Tang Yue now realized that her chances weren't absolute anymore. It seemed she needed to keep trying. In that moment of distraction, irreversible consequences occurred throughout the ship.
"Haha, die! All of you die! If I can't live, then nobody else can either."
Takahashi, acting like a madman, pulled medicine from a large bag he was carrying. He then threw it around in various corners of the ship.
When Tang Yue saw it, only a few rooms at the stern of the ship remained unaffected. Tang Yue immediately used her spiritual power to seal off the equipment room where she was located.
After that, she watched helplessly as Takahashi's body slowly festered, and many red spots appeared on her skin, which then gradually formed blisters.
His breathing became extremely difficult, and Tang Yue felt unwell. She turned her head, and when she looked back, Takahashi was already rolling around on the ground. Tang Yue's consciousness then shifted to the other rooms. The people in those rooms were exhibiting different symptoms.
These people seemed to be choked while they were in a daze, and they had difficulty breathing. Soon, Tang Yue was the only living person left on the entire ship.
Tang Yue sat quietly in the small room, unsure how to describe her feelings. She hadn't originally intended to spare these people, but killing so many at once caused her a moment of hesitation.
Thinking back to the harm these people on the ship had done to the Chinese, her heart hardened again. And it conveniently saved her some trouble. Tang Yue immediately looked towards the sea. Perhaps because she was enveloped in spiritual energy, the marine life was unaffected.
It was from this single glance that Tang Yue seemed to discover something.
She had Big Headpin and the others adjust the ship's course, put everything in the dark room into her spatial storage, opened the spiritual energy barriers of the nearby rooms, and then flashed out of the cabin herself, casually using her spiritual energy to pull out a small boat.
Tang Yue sat quietly in the small boat, her attention drawn to a faint, unusual presence in the depths of the sea.
In her perception, that area seemed to be summoned by a mysterious force, a force subtly connected to the spatial power she was familiar with. Tang Yue wasn't familiar with these things before, and perhaps due to the shift in spacetime, she had undergone significant changes.
