Gu Yanxi heard that someone in Duanqi had apparently spread the virus. He wasn't sure if the information was accurate, but in order to gather clues, he rushed to Duanqi as quickly as possible.
However, at sea, when they were still nearly ten nautical miles from Duanqi, a maritime ban was imposed, prohibiting all ships from approaching Duanqi. The passenger ship had to leave. But Gu Yanxi couldn't leave; he had come to investigate, but he had already been in Japan for over three months and hadn't found a single clue.
Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention to him, he jumped into the sea and swam towards Duanqi. The usually bustling beach was deserted today, which made it convenient for him to do his thing.
He had just stumbled to the shore, exhausted from the distance, but he felt a strong gaze fixed on him.
Gu Yanxi looked in the direction of his gaze and saw a little girl staring intently at him. Upon closer inspection, a look of surprise flashed in Gu Yanxi's eyes; he felt like he had seen this little girl before.
But how could that be? How could she have come to Japan alone? Could she be Japanese?
That shouldn't be the case. He remembered the soldiers mentioning this girl's family situation a few times. Besides, he hadn't forgotten how skilled she was.
Just as he was still pondering, Tang Yue walked towards him. A flash of surprise crossed Gu Yanxi's eyes, but he didn't detect any danger in the little girl's eyes. He lazily lay back on the beach to recover his strength.
Tang Yue stepped forward. "We've met before."
Gu Yanxi lay there looking at the little girl in front of him. After hearing her words, Gu Yanxi confirmed that he had not mistaken her for someone else. However, he was too weak to sit up in surprise. He just lay there looking at the little girl.
Speaking fluent Japanese, she said, "Hello little sister, what are you saying? I don't understand. This doesn't seem to be our Japanese language."
Tang Yue laughed. This guy still wouldn't admit it. "Train, toilet, radio, getting arrested. I think your memory shouldn't be this bad."
Gu Yanxi was certain that this little girl was the one he was looking for. He couldn't ignore the fact that she was indeed the one. He sat up abruptly. "It really is you. What are you doing in Japan?"
As if remembering something, Gu Yanxi asked urgently, "Were you recruited by the Japanese? What happened to those people who recruited you? Where are they taking you?"
Gu Yanxi felt like he had found a thread, as if a gentle tug would connect everything. He should be able to grasp the clues soon. Tang Yue frowned, listening to Gu Yanxi's rambling words, "Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?"
Gu Yanxi...
He regained his composure in an instant, lying back on the beach. No rush. If she had been captured, someone would come looking for her soon. He could then follow them and find clues.
He casually pointed to the seat next to him, "Sit there for a while, I'll walk with you later, don't be afraid."
Tang Yue couldn't help but twitch her lips. This kid had such a handsome face, but now he looked so boneless and soaking wet. It was really an eyesore.
However, since the person didn't seem inclined to reveal their identity, Tang Yue didn't want to be disliked. She sensed that this person was likely working for China. She was pressed for time and didn't want to cause trouble, so it was best to leave quickly.
"It's not safe for you these next few days, you'd better leave."
As she spoke, Tang Yue had already taken out the small boat she was riding in and was about to board. When Gu Yanxi stood up, he saw the little girl about to get on the boat. Without even taking a break, he quickly got up and reached out to grab the boat.
He didn't have time to think about where the small boat had come from. "You want to go out to sea by boat?"
"Um!"
"Shall we take this ship?"
Tang Yue remained calm. "Yes, this is the only ship I have." She thought to herself, "I can't use any other ships; if they're discovered, there will definitely be trouble."
Gu Yanxi didn't know how to describe his feelings at this moment. Could he say that this girl was ignorant and fearless? She wanted to use this ship to return to China? Wasn't that just wishful thinking? It was simply...
Tang Yue frowned when she saw that the man wouldn't let go. "Is there something you need? If you want to leave, I can give you a ride."
Gu Yanxi...
His composure was about to crumble, and he reached up to rub his forehead. "Little girl, do you know that what we're facing is the ocean? The sea is dangerous. Your boat is only suitable for saving lives in times of crisis. It's not suitable for long voyages."
Tang Yue seemed to understand Gu Yanxi's meaning, "No..."
"Also, look, there's no food or water on your ship. Even if you don't encounter any danger, you have nothing to eat. Returning to China isn't something that can be done in a day or two, so this definitely won't work."
"Besides, do you even know which direction China is in? You can't get back to China like this. Don't worry, I'll find a way to send you back after I finish things here. But you'll have to wait a while."
Tang Yue understood. Just then, she saw someone coming from a distance. Tang Yue immediately made them invisible, then pulled Gu Yanxi onto the boat and used her spiritual power to slowly move the boat out to sea.
Gu Yanxi felt himself being lifted, and then he was standing on the boat. Gu Yanxi was a little dazed. He stared at the little girl in front of him. How could this girl, with such abilities, have been captured?
Could it be that he guessed wrong?
Suddenly realizing he was on a boat, Gu Yanxi frowned. "Little girl, I have business here and can't leave yet. Let's go back to shore first."
