Tang Yue smiled, while Tang Shengkai was overjoyed. Anyone would be extremely happy to hear that their leg would be crippled for the rest of their life, and then suddenly be cured. Tang Shengkai was in that state at the moment.
"Dad, let's go to the county to apply for the military tomorrow."
Tang Shengkai nodded excitedly; he would go tomorrow.
More than 20 spies have arrived this time. If even more come in a few days, they will be in real danger.
Lin Cuicui slept soundly, and the father and daughter tacitly avoided waking her. Lin Cuicui had been under immense stress lately, and this rare moment of sleep was a welcome respite.
The next morning, Tang Shengkai got up early. After a night's rest, Lin Cuicui had recovered quite a bit. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw her husband already sitting on the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed) putting on his shoes.

Lin Cuicui burst out laughing, "Third Brother, your leg is not convenient, let me do it."
Tang Shengkai didn't say anything, just put on his shoes, got up, and went out.
Lin Cuicui was a little confused looking at Tang Shengkai's leg, which was not lame at all. Their interaction woke Tang Yue up. Lin Cuicui took Tang Yue's little hand and asked, "Daughter, did Mom see things just now?"
"Why isn't your dad lame anymore?"
Tang Yue laughed out loud, "Mom, you didn't see wrong, Dad's leg is healed."

"Yes, I removed the bullet from Dad last night. Dad is just like a normal person now."
Lin Cuicui was a little petrified. What? In the time it took her to sleep, her husband's leg was already healed? That's too surreal!
When the two got up, Tang Shengkai had already boiled the water for washing their faces. Lin Cuicui washed her hands and started working on the stove, while Tang Shengkai sat on a small stool and tended the fire. "Cuicui, I'm going to the county town to apply for a job today."
"OK."
Lin Cuicui readily agreed. Since it was already agreed upon, she felt more at ease agreeing sooner rather than later.
"Third Brother, do I still need to go?"
"Yes, let's go together. We don't know when the spies will come. It's safer for our family to be together."

Actually, Lin Cuicui wanted to stay at home. They were leaving, and there were still many things to take care of. They also needed to pack their belongings. Tang Yue thought her parents had made quite careful arrangements; neither of them had considered whether the military would accept her father.
Tang Yue shook her head and left the house. She wanted to go to the mountain stream in Beishan to see what was happening to the corpses and what to do with the other things.
"I'm going out for a bit."
Lin Cuicui and Tang Shengkai only glanced outside. There was nothing they could do; the two of them combined weren't as capable as their daughter, so there was no use in worrying.
Before Tang Yue even stepped out of the courtyard, her thoughts had already drifted to the rocky beach. She paused, her lips curling into a sarcastic smile.
"This family is really interesting. They seem to have a lot of tricks up their sleeves, but they just don't use them in the right place."
Tang Yue whispered something, then turned and went inside.
Lin Cuicui and Tang Shengkai were puzzled when their daughter went back inside. What was going on?
"Yueyue, you're not going out."
"Well, there are some annoying people on the mountain. Let them do their thing first. We can go at another time."
Tang Shengkai immediately understood what Tang Yue meant, "Are they up on the mountain over there?"
"Yes, they're searching for treasures inch by inch on the rocky beach. Quite a few people are going, adults and children alike."
Tang Shengkai was speechless; his mother's brain was just different from everyone else's.
"Yueyue, how did you know they were all on the rocky beach?"
Lin Cuicui held a shovel in one hand and looked at Tang Yue with a puzzled expression.
Tang Shengkai also realized that the rocky beach was a high ground, and below it was a dense forest. How could his daughter have seen things from such a high place?
"Oh, I saw it."
Lin Cuicui and Tang Shengkai exchanged a glance, finding it unbelievable. "Yueyue, how did you see that?"
Tang Yue didn't hide anything, "Oh, I've been trying to cultivate my mental power these past two days. I was thinking about checking out the situation over there, and my consciousness just went there and I saw it."
"Gulp," two sounds of swallowing saliva. Their daughter is too amazing. This, this is also possible.
The brothers had just woken up on the kang (heated brick bed) in the west room. "Sister, sister, are you up? Come here quickly."
Lin Cuicui and Tang Shengkai exchanged another glance. It seemed that the other side hadn't given up yet, but they probably didn't dare to come and cause trouble because of the spies and the letter. But they were still thinking about getting benefits, so they came up the mountain.
But is there really nothing left on the mountain? I wonder if Dad and Uncle Qian have cleaned it up properly.
Tang Yue ignored her parents' reactions and stepped into the west room.
