Chapter 308 Bewitching Curse

If Gu Yanxi had disregarded his status, the two pirates would probably be dead by now.

Just as his anger was reaching its nagging point, what did he hear? A massive, overwhelming declaration of allegiance? It was obvious whose handiwork this was. The interrogation wasn't over yet, and Gu Yanxi didn't waste any time, continuing with the questions he wanted answered.

As for Tang Yue, the pirates barely went through the process of becoming familiar with her; they immediately regarded her as a goddess. The second-in-command volunteered, his voice tinged with flattery:

"Master, there is a mysterious treasure trove on our island, where countless treasures we have looted over the years are hidden. I am willing to take you there." Tang Yue had already learned the location from the pirate leader, but since this person wanted to take her there, she naturally did not refuse.

She nodded slightly: "Okay, lead the way."

So, the second-in-command carefully led the way, and just as Tang Yue took a step, Gu Yanxi caught up. After they nodded to each other, Gu Yanxi followed closely behind and walked forward together.

They first arrived at the entrance of a deep, dark cave. A thin layer of mist hung in the air, giving it a mysterious and unpredictable feel. Inside, the cave was dark and damp, with an uneven floor and water droplets that occasionally dripped from the ceiling, making a crisp sound.

The cave was winding and labyrinthine. The second-in-command was clearly very familiar with the place, leading Tang Yue and Gu Yanxi through the intricate passages.

As they walked, a narrow crevice appeared ahead, wide enough for only one person to pass through. The second-in-command squeezed through without hesitation, followed by Tang Yue and Gu Yanxi.

After emerging from the crevice, they arrived at the foot of a steep cliff. The cliff face was towering into the clouds, covered with moss and jagged rocks, making it no easy feat to climb.

The second-in-command looked up at the cliff and said, "Master, we have to climb up from here. The only way to the treasure room is from there."

Tang Yue really wanted to ask, how were those treasures transported up this road? And why did she feel like they were almost at the other side of Pirate Island?

However, Tang Yue did not hesitate at all. With a light touch of her toes, she leaped upwards like a black lightning bolt. Her movements were light and agile, and every step she took was incredibly precise, as if she were walking on flat ground on a cliff.

Gu Yanxi was not to be outdone, grabbing the rope on the cliff face and climbing quickly, aiming to keep up closely behind Tang Yue. The second-in-command followed behind, using both hands and feet to climb with all his might.

During the climb, a sudden gust of wind howled past, making it difficult for people to stand.
