Chapter 313 The Perseverance of Chinese Fishermen

Before they could even understand what was happening, several Japanese fishing boats were violently rammed together. The loud "bang" of the impact was particularly piercing, and cries of agony echoed through the sky.

No matter how advanced the Japanese fishing boats were, they couldn't withstand such violent rocking and impacts, and most of them sank in no time.

"Ah! Baka! The ship is sinking! Waaah! Help!"

"Oh no, help! Help! The ship is sinking!"

The Japanese, disregarding their image, extended their hands towards the Chinese, seemingly seeking their help. The Chinese fishermen were completely bewildered by the situation. What was going on? Had Mazu appeared to them?

Otherwise, why would their already sunken ships suddenly float again? And why would the Japanese ships inexplicably start colliding with each other?

The Chinese watched the Japanese pleas for help with indifference, unmoved. If it weren't for the goddess Mazu, the Japanese would be in the same predicament now.

"Ah! Please save us! Please!" A Japanese fisherman cried and begged the Chinese fishermen for help. When the Chinese fishermen did not respond, he lost his composure.

"Aaaaah! You damned Chinese, you all deserve to die! You all deserve to die! I curse you..."

Before he could finish speaking, his voice abruptly stopped, and he plunged straight into the sea.

After a while, the sea gradually returned to calm. The Chinese fishermen looked at each other, then, disregarding their disheveled appearance, they all knelt on the deck and loudly thanked the Goddess Mazu.

Tang Yue had spent some time on the South Island and knew that some fishermen living by the sea were devout followers of Mazu, but she was still deeply moved when she actually saw it. Gu Yanxi and the other Chinese people on the other boats also watched this scene quietly.

After paying their respects to Mazu, the fishermen helped each other to their feet. Their boat was wrecked beyond recognition, and they could no longer catch fish. They planned to bandage each other's wounds first, then tidy themselves up before heading home.

The young man at the front had been shot in the arm, but he used his left hand to grip the top of his right arm and direct all the fishermen. The fishermen's anxiety gradually subsided.

Gu Yanxi stood on the deck watching the young man arrange things, a hint of appreciation in his eyes. Once all the fishermen were in action, Gu Yanxi called out to the young man, "Hey! Need help removing the bullets?"

The young man was surprised to see someone calling him. He turned around in astonishment and saw a handsome and distinguished young man standing on a perfectly intact boat, calling out to him.

He was certain he didn't know the other person, but it was common for people to greet each other at sea. He was about to reply to Gu Yanxi when his gaze suddenly sharpened, and then a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

A note from the author: Yesterday I read a renowned author's writing insights, and I gained a lot of inspiration. First and foremost, I must be responsible for my work. Therefore, I will be revising my previous chapters carefully in the near future. If you have any questions or feel that there are any issues with the writing, please feel free to share them!

Although the book's current sales figures aren't great, I will continue writing with my heart. I know writing isn't as easy for me as eating or drinking, but I have a sincere heart, and I'm willing to put in more effort and cultivate it deeply. I look forward to its blossoming! Keep going!
