Chapter 353 Returning to the Underground Research Lab

353

Tang Yue picked up the clothes from the ground and draped them over her shoulder, her gaze fixed on the fallen men. "Hmm, I think these guys have some potential. Battalion Commander, what do you think, should we give them a little more?"

Chang Yin wanted to raise his hand to his forehead. This little girl really loved to watch the show. The Fourth Company was originally a communications company, but now each of them was as strong as any other company individually.

Even so, the little girl seemed unsatisfied. "Their current training standards are already far beyond those of other companies. If we increase the workload further, these people simply won't be able to keep up physically."

Tang Yue pursed her lips; she understood that too. But wasn't it a bit of a waste to leave such a good group of people like this? Tang Yue's big eyes darted around, and she had an idea.

It seems I can prepare some medicinal baths for them when I have some free time. Since their physical fitness isn't up to par, let's give them a boost with some baths.

"Let's go home for dinner. I'll pick you up tonight."

Tang Yue looked up at him, and Chang Yin gave her a knowing look. If it weren't for that look, Tang Yue would have completely forgotten she had another identity. Hmm, do those grandpas and grandmas at the underground research institute miss her a lot?

However, there was one more thing Tang Yue hadn't mentioned. She pointed to an empty spot in the middle of the playground, and the two walked over there.

"The village head of Daobei Village came over today, and I overheard some news from what they were saying."

Chang Yin just looked down at her without saying anything, and Tang Yue continued, "They said that several of the educated youth in their village often inquired about our family's situation."

Chang Yin's eyes darkened slightly. It seemed these spies were truly ubiquitous. They weren't going to let any place even remotely connected to Tang Yue's family slip by.

"Do you think these people were still arranged by Japan?"

Tang Yue shrugged. "Battalion Commander, I don't know about this. Shouldn't this be your responsibility?"

Chang Yin has now reached the fifth level of Qi Refining, and his cultivation speed is quite astonishing. There should be few people here who can rival him. Finding those people should be a piece of cake.

She had heard that Chang Yin had recently tormented many of the spies on the southern island. Chang Yin didn't say anything else, noted down a few names, and then left.

Tang Yue didn't use any spiritual energy today. She sealed her spiritual power and practiced with them like ordinary people. She sweated quite a bit and needed to go home to shower. She was an ordinary person now, and she enjoyed the feeling of not needing the Cleansing Technique.

Tang Bei and Tang Nan went to the Second Battalion. They both returned covered in sweat. Tang Nan looked at her younger sister with shining eyes, "Little sister, you're amazing! That was a whole company! Haha!"

Not a single one stood up; my sister beat them to a pulp. Oh my, you have no idea how miserable they were after you left. It was absolutely hilarious.

Tang Bei's face showed barely suppressed excitement. He walked over and ruffled Tang Yue's hair. "Yeah, my little sister is the best. Big brother will go boil some water for you."

Tang Yue looked at her older brother's thin back. He had worked very hard, and she hoped that she could shoulder more responsibility. However, Tang Yue sighed.

Actually, apart from her third brother, the rest of her family members would be considered to have very poor aptitude in the cultivation world. If Tang Yue hadn't previously transferred some spiritual energy to them, they might never have even reached the threshold of Qi Refining in their entire lives.

Now, her two older brothers are cultivating diligently every day, but the threshold of the first level of Qi Refining seems like an insurmountable chasm, which they can't seem to cross. Tang Yue has always known that cultivation depends on the individual.

But now they are her family, and she doesn't want to keep seeing them sad. Yes, they are her brothers; she should help them.

Tang Bei filled the bathwater for Tang Yue and turned to leave. He and Tang Nan quickly rinsed off and ran outside.

Tang Yue didn't know where they were going. Lin Cuicui watched the two boys flailing around in the yard and said, "What are you two doing? You're so clumsy."

Old Li came out carrying a small basket of steamed buns. Tang Bei and Tang Nan each grabbed two and ran out, saying, "The army has something to do today, Mom, we'll probably be back a little late."

"Don't wait for us."

Lin Cuicui muttered to herself as she walked into the house. Tang Yue extended her consciousness outward and saw two cars already parked on the playground. Tang Bei and Tang Nan quickly ran over and jumped into the car.

She had only taken a few bites of the steamed bun in her hand. Tang Yue knew that if it weren't for boiling water for her, her older brothers would have rinsed off with cold water before they even had time to eat.

When Tang Yue came out after washing up, Old Li had already brought out the food.

"Are those two kids not eating at home anymore?"

"Okay, Dad, don't worry about them. Tell them there's something going on at the army base and they'll be back late tonight."

Tang Yue thought it was probably a matter for Daobei Village, but she knew the strength of her two older brothers. As long as there wasn't a large-scale firefight, they would be fine.

Around 10 PM, Tang Yue quietly left the family compound and, together with Chang Yin, scaled the wall and left the military base at their usual spot. Chang Yin drove all the way to the underground laboratory. Tang Yue was somewhat surprised, "Company Commander, why didn't you go for a stroll on the beach today?"

Chang Yin looked ahead and said, "There aren't many spies left on the South Island now. Besides, with you here, you'll remind me if there are any problems."

Tang Yue rolled her eyes. So they were using her completely. But Chang Yin was right. Tang Yue wouldn't let those grandpas and grandmas take any risks, so if there was a real problem, she would definitely step in.

As soon as Chang Yin and Tang Yue entered the underground laboratory, they noticed something different about it today. It was unusually quiet, as if no one was there. Just as Tang Yue was about to release her consciousness, a scream rang out in the empty corridor, "She's here! Little Yueyue is here!"
