The group quickly waved their hands, but Liu Zhengqian didn't seem to care. "Hey, little girl, you're being too polite. It's nothing. We're willing to do whatever we can. Reputation doesn't matter."
We're willing to do anything for China's well-being.
Tang Yue nodded, elevating the significance of these individuals to a new level. These were truly a group of veteran scientists who had dedicated their lives to their country. They deserved everyone's respect.
"Grandpas and grandmas, rest assured, if this warship is built, no one can deny your contributions."
The crowd remained expressionless; they didn't care about empty titles at all. As long as the ship could actually be built, that was more important than anything else.
"When should we send these documents to them?"
"No rush. Let me finish drawing the overall design and wait until Grandpa and Grandma have no objections before we tell them. Otherwise, our lab will probably never have a moment's peace."
Everyone couldn't help but laugh at the thought of that scene. Grandma Yang Zi looked at Tang Yue with a loving expression, "Little Yueyue, if we leave the ship-related matters to Laboratory No. 9, then we'll be idle again."
As she spoke, she winked at Tang Yue, who smiled and smiled. "As expected, nothing can be hidden from Grandma Yang."
Everyone else looked at Tang Yue, not quite having thought of it yet. Tang Yue's expression turned serious. "I want my grandparents to research something more advanced."
The group stared intently at Tang Yue, waiting for her to continue. Tang Yue didn't keep them in suspense; she spoke directly, "I wonder if anyone has heard about the supercomputer."
The scientists in Lab 5 were immediately in an uproar. "What? Little Yueyue, you mean supercomputers? Of course I know about them, but the technology behind them is much more difficult. Our country simply can't achieve that."
"Yes, if China could really produce its own supercomputer, wow~"
Everyone gasped. They couldn't even imagine it. Powerful, simply too powerful. Their gazes locked onto Tang Yue, as if they wanted to pierce through her. "Little Yueyue, do you mean you want China to develop its own supercomputer?"
They had considered this idea, but it was just too difficult.
Tang Yue nodded. "I saw it when I was in Japan. Now their ports have started using supercomputers to register and calculate cargo. China, on the other hand, is still registering by hand. I think it's time for us to develop our own supercomputers."
The group remained silent, their brows furrowed deeply. It wasn't that they were unwilling, but the news was simply too shocking.
Liu Zhengqian was the first to raise an objection, "Xiao Yueyue, it's definitely a good thing that we're building our own supercomputer. But there's one hurdle we just can't overcome no matter what we do: the chip."
China doesn't have the sophisticated equipment to manufacture chips. And the US certainly won't sell their chips to China, so we simply can't build our own supercomputers.
Tang Yue's gaze turned slightly cold. The United States and some other powerful countries in the world have been imposing technological blockades on China. If China wants to develop, technological constraints are definitely not an option.
"It's okay. We have several supercomputers to research now, and we can also try out the chips. If that doesn't work, we can use the ones in the existing supercomputers first."
"Oh no, no way!" Wang Guozhi was the first to stop her. "Xiao Yueyue, that's a supercomputer! Do you know how important it is? Even if we're just using it, let alone taking it apart, we have to be extremely careful. If it breaks, we don't have anyone who knows how to repair it."
When he got excited, Wang Guozhi couldn't control his emotions for a bit, but he quickly calmed down. "Xiao Yueyue, you said you brought back supercomputers? How many?"
He immediately turned to look at the others, and only when he saw that they were all shaking their heads did he realize that he wasn't the one who was out of touch. He hurriedly squatted down to be at eye level with Tang Yue, "Little Yueyue, is what you're saying true? Why haven't we heard anything?"
Tang Yue...
She genuinely didn't know that Commander Kang hadn't told the underground research lab. But then she thought about it and chuckled. This was for the best; it made sense for her to take out one machine for everyone to study.
Fortunately, she didn't hand it all over to Commander Kang. That old man was too cunning; he managed to keep such a valuable thing as a supercomputer a secret.
"Well, when I get back to my unit, I'll go ask Commander Kang for one."
"What? Request one?"
"Little Yueyue, did you really bring back several?"
Tang Yue touched her nose sheepishly. Why was she being criticized again? "No, everyone, just wait for my good news."
After saying that, she dashed out of Laboratory 5. Her heart was still pounding; she really had no idea that this supercomputer possessed such power.
The people in Lab 5 were silent for a moment, then immediately ran out, but Tang Yue was nowhere to be seen.
At this moment, Tang Yue had already slipped into Laboratory No. 6. While she could let Big Head Pin and the others try out the chip and other power devices, this medicine was truly a blind spot for her.
There were too many things to do, and she had only skimmed through the medical books. She originally thought that the prescriptions and formulas in her head would be enough for a lifetime. However, the drugs from the Japanese germ labs were too potent, and she still wanted to find a way to counteract them.
Qian Ming and the others had been waiting anxiously. Not for any other reason than they had received news that Japan's germ laboratory had been destroyed by a mysterious organization. Before this, no other country knew that Japan was secretly researching germ agents.
