Moonlight streamed through the mountains and forests as Tang Yue followed closely behind the tiger and leopard, swiftly weaving through the dense woods. The tiger and leopard seemed to know Tang Yue was in a hurry, so they didn't dare delay at all.
As they ran, the surrounding vegetation grew increasingly lush, and the thick layer of fallen leaves on the ground emitted the distinctive smell of humus. The tiger and leopard did not stop, seemingly undisturbed by their surroundings.
Tang Yue couldn't help but wonder if some great secret was truly hidden here. Suddenly, something occurred to her. But then she thought it impossible. As she left, she used her consciousness to scan her surroundings.
Now, she can see the situation within a radius of 60 miles very clearly. Although she did not stop at every place, she was still able to find the caves.
Suddenly, the tiger and leopard stopped in front of a steep mountain wall. Tang Yue walked closer and saw that the mountainside was covered with vines and moss. If you didn't look closely, you wouldn't notice anything special about it.
But Tang Yue could sense that there seemed to be a mysterious aura hidden behind the mountain wall.
She reached out and gently parted the vines, revealing an old iron plate. The plate was rusty and engraved with strange symbols. Tang Yue examined it closely and discovered that the symbols were actually Japanese.
Her gaze sharpened. It seemed the place the tiger and leopard had led her to was indeed extraordinary. So they knew of this place?
Tang Yue used her spiritual power to gently push the iron plate open, and a musty smell wafted out. Inside was a huge cave, filled with a faint stench of decay.
Tang Yue cautiously entered the cave and found it filled with all sorts of boxes and miscellaneous items.
She opened a box, inside which were rows of brand-new Japanese machine guns, with bullets neatly arranged to the side. Tang Yue's expression turned serious. These weapons were almost identical to those she had received in Japan; clearly, things here were not as they appeared.
These things were secretly placed here. But when she arrived, there was no way around. How did these people get in?
Without giving it much thought, Tang Yue continued walking inside. She found some documents and maps, and when she casually opened one, the contents of the document shocked her.
It turns out that this was a secret base established by the Japanese army during their invasion of China. Although Japan was defeated in the war, they preserved this secret base.
High-ranking Japanese spies have the authority to know about and come here. The weapons here are prepared for people hiding throughout China. However, this base cannot be activated unless absolutely necessary.
The two planes that nearly killed Tang Shengkai and his men in the Qinling Mountains took off from this very base. These planes were modified to be not only fast but also heavily armed, and from their appearance, it was impossible to tell that they were Japanese.
Perhaps because the Japanese believed no one would find them here, the document also included a list of five key Japanese figures hiding in China. These individuals belonged to Japan's highest-ranking intelligence agency.
Tang Yue wanted to destroy this place. However, she wasn't sure where those people were now; all five names were code names, not real names. If she destroyed the place now, it would definitely alert them. Rather than that, it was better to remain still.
Tang Yue wanted to contact Chang Yin and have him come over to make a decision. However, the radio had no signal here. How discreet! But could this stump her? Tang Yue released a tiny wisp of spiritual energy, which quickly found Chang Yin in the sky.
At this moment, Chang Yin and the others could leave the Qinling Mountains after crossing one more mountain. Suddenly, he had a feeling that a strand of spiritual energy was wrapped around a lock of hair on his forehead. As he walked forward, his hair was pulled painfully by the spiritual energy.
He stopped and everything was fine. After a moment, he continued walking, and the wisp of spiritual energy reappeared, tugging at his hair. Chang Yin sighed; he couldn't think of anyone else besides Tang Yue who could do something like this.
"You guys go down the mountain first, I'll go back to find Tang Yue."
Tang Bei and Tang Nan were immediately alarmed, their faces showing worry. "Battalion Commander, what happened to my sister?"
"Battalion Commander, I'll go with you."
Chang Yin sighed; he was sure he was the only one being teased by having his hair pulled right now. "No need. You all know Tang Yue's strength. She probably needs my help with something. You guys go down the mountain and wait for us."
Tang Nan stammered, "Why doesn't my sister look for me?"
Tang Bei tugged at Tang Nan, "Let's go, Er Nan, don't cause trouble." It must be related to the military, otherwise his sister wouldn't have only looked for the battalion commander.
"Then be careful, Battalion Commander. We'll wait for you in Panyun County."
Chang Yin nodded and turned to walk back. The spiritual energy seemed to sense that Chang Yin was walking too slowly, and its scalp ached from being pulled repeatedly. Chang Yin took a deep breath and channeled his spiritual energy, running wildly through the mountains.
Thorns and branches could easily tear clothes and face, so Chang Yin tried to wrap herself in spiritual power. Hey? It actually worked.
As if he had discovered a novel way to play, he kept running forward while using his spiritual power to fight with the wisp of spiritual power in his hair.
Tang Yue had finished examining the cave; the path she had taken was indeed not one commonly used by spies. Further in, after many twists and turns, there was another sinkhole. The marks in the sinkhole showed it had been crushed by a heavy object. Clearly, those two planes had taken off from here.
Tang Yue was curious about how they got here. Were there other planes? But Tang Yue didn't find any other traces around.
Chang Yin arrived quickly, passing through a field full of withered leaves, where the iron gate stood wide open. Who else but Tang Yue would do such a thing?
