The Chang family didn't rest all night. After much consideration, Old Master Chang still felt that these things couldn't be kept at home and had to be handed over.
However, there are rules about how to hand these things over. These things appeared in his house without any explanation, and if those with ulterior motives found out, who knows what trouble they might cause.
Old Master Chang had Chang Yin and Chang Yin make a list of these things overnight. After breakfast in the morning, Old Master Chang went straight to Mr. Qi's office.
When Secretary Tian led Mr. Chang into Mr. Qi's office, the doctor was examining Mr. Qi.
Mr. Qi was in a good mood today. "Old Chang, what brings you here?"
"Sir, the way you're talking makes it sound like I'm not coming."
Mr. Qi laughed heartily, but was interrupted by the doctor before he could say anything.
The doctor tentatively asked, "Sir, did you eat anything last night?"
The doctor's voice trembled as he asked the question. Mr. Qi didn't pay much attention; he felt extremely comfortable all over today, and his breathing was much smoother. He answered the doctor's questions more attentively.
"Same as always, a bowl of thin porridge and a steamed bun, nothing else."
The doctor looked at Secretary Tian, who nodded affirmatively.
The doctor shook his head. "No, something's not right."
After he finished speaking, Old Master Chang and Secretary Tian both took two steps forward, but Mr. Qi didn't seem to care at all. The doctor continued to ask.
"Sir, what happened last night?"
Mr. Qi casually remarked, "I don't know when I fell asleep; it was Lao Tian who got me into bed."
"What?" Secretary Tian looked at Mr. Qi with suspicion.
Mr. Qi looked at Secretary Tian and asked, "What's wrong? Why are you so startled?"
Secretary Tian looked at Mr. Qi and said, "Sir, I didn't get you into bed last night. You were already asleep when I came in, so I didn't disturb you."
At this moment, Mr. Qi also noticed something was wrong. "You said you didn't put me in bed?"
Secretary Tian nodded affirmatively. Mr. Qi frowned, "But I clearly remember writing something, and then I suddenly felt dizzy."
Both the doctor and Secretary Tian were startled, but the doctor quickly realized something was wrong. If the gentleman had fainted, how could he still be in such good health?
He said, "Sir, you are in excellent health now, better than ever before."
Mr. Qi agreed, saying he felt the same way. However, what he said next left the others speechless.
The doctor continued, "Sir, the cancer in your body is gone, and your old injuries seem to have healed as well."
After hearing the doctor's words, the group looked at Mr. Qi in disbelief and shock.
Secretary Tian was the first to react. He took two steps forward and looked at the doctor, "What kind of joke is this? How can you make such a joke in front of the doctor? Don't you have any sense of propriety?"
The doctor knew exactly what kind of reaction would come from saying those words, but that's exactly what his test results showed.
"Sir, you should take some time to go to the hospital for a check-up. These are the results of my tests so far."
Mr. Qi fell silent. He believed the doctor, but how could this be? How could a body that had been tormented by illness for so many years suddenly recover? In just one night?
And that was cancer? How could it just disappear for no reason? But he knew his own body, and this feeling was so good that he no longer knew what comfort was.
Old Master Chang seemed to have thought of something. He looked at Mr. Qi and said, "Sir, may I have a few words with you alone?"
Mr. Qi waved, and Secretary Tian and the doctor went out. As they walked, you could still hear Secretary Tian asking the doctor questions to confirm things.
Mr. Qi stood up and stretched. "I feel great right now, but is that even possible? Lao Chang, what do you think?"
In the past, the old man wouldn't have believed it either, but recently so much had happened to that little girl that he had no choice but to believe it.
"Sir, I've come to see you because I have something to say to you."
"you say."
Grandpa Chang recounted what had happened at home the previous night, then casually pulled a list from his pocket and handed it to Mr. Qi.
In fact, they all had some suspicions that Tang Yue, that little girl, harbored a secret. After all, Japan lost a lot of things during the time Tang Yue was there, and the South Island had indeed recently sent a lot of good things to China, most of which were clearly made in Japan.
There is no record of these items being transported, either from customs or elsewhere.
Mr. Qi smiled after looking at the things, and then he looked at Old Master Chang.
"The little girl is quite generous."
Grandpa Chang looked back at Mr. Qi and nodded, "He is indeed very generous."
Mr. Qi raised an eyebrow, sensing that Old Chang's words had a hidden meaning.
Old Master Chang stood up. "If you think these things are fine in my house, then I'll go back. I'll have Chang Yin pick out some that I can use and send them over later."
Mr. Qi smiled and said, "Then I'll have to thank you for your help."
Grandpa Chang looked at Mr. Qi and asked, "Sir, you should have met that little girl before, right?"
Mr. Qi nodded, and Grandpa Chang said, "It should be said that the whole nation has benefited from Mr. Qi's influence."
"Sir, you should take some time to go to the hospital for a check-up."
After saying these words, he left.
Mr. Qi thought of something, but he felt it was unlikely. He then called in the doctor and Secretary Tian.
"I'm cancer-free now?"
The doctor nodded affirmatively, "Sir, at least based on my current examination, your health is excellent, comparable to that of a 20-year-old young man."
