Chapter 431 Going to Chang Yin's House

431

Mr. Qi quickly stood up as well, saying, "Child, the battlefield is dangerous; you absolutely must not take the risk."

Tang Yue tilted her head and looked at Mr. Qi. "Sir, do you think I'm afraid? Also, I've never understood why we have to help Bianyue fight a war. Does it make us seem noble?"

Don't the lives of our Chinese soldiers matter? Aren't you afraid that if you help the Vietnamese, they will one day retaliate against us?

When that day actually comes, won't everything we've done today seem like a joke?

Tang Yue's voice was cold, and her small face was full of sarcastic smiles. After speaking, she turned and left without looking back. "Tell me once you've decided on the location. Only tomorrow. No exceptions."

It seemed that saying all this was not enough. "Sir, you don't need to say those words about being devoted to the country. I also know that some people may target our family."

However, I will only say one thing: this world is not just China. If my family were to suffer persecution, I would absolutely not allow myself to be controlled by those people.

As she spoke, Tang Yue's eyes were filled with a fierce light. For a moment, Mr. Qi felt a jolt in his heart. He had to protect this child, no matter what.

After thinking for a moment, Mr. Qi laughed again. Who would want to go against a little girl? Well, as long as they're not afraid of the disappearances that have happened in Japan and Russia, that's fine. Although no one said it outright, no one is stupid; everyone should have their own judgment on how to weigh the pros and cons.

Tang Yue went directly to Chang Yin's home in Kyoto. Sure enough, before she even arrived, she heard Chang Yin's mother, Feng Guiping, crying. Chang Yin's father, Chang Jianguo, sat on the sofa with red eyes, clearly also overcome with grief.

Old Master Chang Xingbang sat alone in his study, staring blankly at one spot. His second uncle and aunt hid in their room, too afraid to come out, clearly also distressed. Tang Yue knocked on the door.

Chang Jianguo was closest to the door, and when he opened it and saw the young girl at the entrance, he was quite surprised. "Comrade Xiao Tang, what brings you here?"

"Um, Uncle Chang, may I come in?"

"Quick, come in quickly." Feng Guiping wiped away her tears upon hearing Xiao Yueyue's voice, but she couldn't smile at this moment. "Xiao Yueyue, why did you come here? Are you all alone?"

Feng Guiping came out to greet her and glanced outside. Seeing no one was there, she didn't know what was making her feel disappointed. After all, the last time Xiao Yueyue came, that tall figure had been by the child's side the whole time. Although he hadn't said a word, she could tell that her son took good care of the child.

Tang Yue sat on the sofa, and Feng Guiping poured her a glass of water. "Uncle Chang, Aunt Chang, I know what's making you sad."

Mentioning this, Feng Guiping could no longer hold back her tears and they flowed again.

Tang Yue continued, "I believe they are not dead."

Feng Guiping and Chang Jianguo were stunned when they heard this. Chang Xingbang had already come out of the study on the second floor. He heard Tang Yue's words as soon as he reached the top of the stairs. It was as if a gentle breeze had blown through his heart, and the gloom in his heart had dissipated a lot.

He was also thinking, how could that kid have died so easily? Chang Xingbang quickly went downstairs, and the others looked in the direction of the sound. Before Chang Xingbang reached Tang Yue's side, he had already asked, "Little girl, how did you know? I heard that they even collected the body over there."

Tang Yue stood up, bowed to Chang Xingbang, and then sat down. Looking at the father and son opposite her, and then at her aunt beside her, she said, "I can calculate!"

The group was momentarily surprised, but only for a moment. Feng Guiping quickly grasped Tang Yue's small hands tightly, "Yueyue, you, are you telling the truth?"

Feng Guiping's voice trembled; she couldn't believe her ears, but she desperately wanted it to be true.

Tang Yue nodded firmly, "It's true. Didn't they say my father was among the dead? No, I've already calculated the fortunes for both of them. They should be alive and well now, but something must have delayed them, which is why they haven't returned to the main force."

Although Chang Xingbang and Chang Jianguo had their doubts, who wouldn't want their son (and grandson) to be alive? "Son, how confident are you?"

"Absolutely. You can trust me, my father and Battalion Commander Chang are definitely alive and well. Besides, with their strength, they wouldn't die so easily. Also, I'm going to the battlefield to find them."

"What?"

"How can this be allowed?"

Chang Jianguo and Feng Guiping spoke at the same time. Feng Guiping was still holding Tang Yue's small hand. "Child, don't be silly. You're still a child. Bullets don't have eyes on the battlefield. What will you do if something happens? Listen to me, we're not going."

Tang Yue shook her head. "Auntie, I've made up my mind. I came here to tell you not to worry too much. The battalion commander is definitely alright. I will definitely bring him back safely."

Feng Guiping didn't know what to say. She looked at her father-in-law and her husband, Chang Jianguo. Chang Jianguo didn't say anything. The old man thought for a moment and said, "Child, tell your grandfather the truth. You really do have a way to save your life."

Tang Yue looked straight at Grandpa Chang. "Grandpa, don't worry. Not only do I have them, but my dad and the battalion commander also have them. So, even if it doesn't count, I don't believe they're dead. Besides, I've already calculated it, and they're really fine, so you don't need to worry."

The group convinced themselves to believe the child before them; they knew all along that this was no ordinary child.

Grandpa Chang didn't go to the military base today. He remembered and asked Tang Yue, "That satellite?"

"Yes!" Tang Yue didn't shy away from the question at all.

Grandpa Chang smiled. "Good, you're a good child. Grandpa believes in you. You'll stay in Kyoto for a few more days. Where will you stay?"
