Chapter 433 Returning to the South Island

Old Li had just finished packing his things when he said, "Don't worry about it. I don't know which two gossipy women are fighting again. They have a small argument every two days and a big one every five days. I'm used to it."

Lin Cuicui chuckled. The military family compound wasn't much different from a village. The wives of military personnel were all different. Some married city women, others from the countryside; regardless of their background, their ideas differed, and they could easily start arguing.

This was the first time Lin Cuicui had smiled in a long time. Old Li sighed inwardly, "Third brother, you must pull yourself together and come back alive."

Lin Cuicui stood at the doorway looking outside. It didn't sound like an argument to her. It sounded like she could also hear her daughter's voice.

Lin Cuicui immediately lost her composure and ran outside with Xixi in her arms.

She ran out the door and bumped into Tang Yue as she was about to enter the house. Seeing that it really was her daughter standing before her, Lin Cuicui excitedly knelt down and hugged her tightly. "Waaah, my daughter's back!"

The group of older women who had come along were initially eager to say more, but seeing Lin Cuicui's heartbroken state, they didn't know how to comfort her and quietly left.

Tang Yue stretched out her little arm and gently patted Lin Cuicui's back, "Mom, I'm back. Don't worry."

How could Lin Cuicui not be worried? Everyone else had returned, only to find out that her daughter had gone missing on the border. Later, she heard that things were going missing in Russia every day, and that's when she realized her daughter must have gone to Russia.

But that's Russia! Her daughter just went there by herself?

Old Li heard his granddaughter's voice and quickly came out, standing to the side with a wide grin.

Lin Cuicui quickly composed herself and released Tang Yue, asking, "Daughter, have you eaten?"

Tang Yue quickly shook her head and exaggeratedly touched her belly, "Oh dear, Mom, I'm starving!"

Lin Cuicui quickly handed Xixi to Old Li, saying, "Dad, you take care of Xixi for a while. I'm going to cook for Yueyue."

"Okay, sure."

"Grandpa, I'm back."

"Oh, good! It's good that you're back, it's good that you're back!" Old Li's voice choked with emotion. This child, he had no idea how worried they were at home.

Tang Yue looked at Xixi. This kid is growing up pretty fast. After staring at Tang Yue with his big, grape-like eyes for a long time, he grinned at her like an idiot.

Tang Yue poked his cheek in disgust, "Don't you recognize me again? Still grinning like an idiot. Are you even obedient at home?"

Tang Xi seemed very happy that his sister was talking to him. He stretched his little arms out of his swaddle and kicked his little legs incessantly. He was also babbling something.

Tang Yue's heart softened; her little brother was so sweet! But she still complained, "You're almost seven months old! You're practically a little adult now, why aren't you learning to talk? Come on, say 'sister, sister' with me~"

Old Li sat on the stone bench, laughing uncontrollably. After playing with Little Xixi for a while, Tang Yue went to the kitchen.
