Zhang Dabing and Sun Jinan really didn't know how to do these things. But having these things gave them more confidence. However, Sun Jinan hesitated to speak.
Tang Yue frowned at his expression. "Just say what you have to say."
Sun Jinan looked at Tang Yue and said, "Company Commander, shouldn't we report and ask for permission before using the chemical plant's products? We can't use even a needle or thread from ordinary people."
Tang Yue's lips twitched involuntarily. Was this child stupid? "Sun Jinan, who are you fighting for? Do you think that chemical plant is still operating? Once the war started, those people would have disappeared long ago."
What? We're coming here to help them fight, and we have to bring everything ourselves?
Sun Jinan and Zhang Dabing nodded, but quickly shook their heads when they saw Tang Yue's expression was off. However, Tang Yue's brows were already furrowed. Zhang Dabing's voice was weak.
“We not only brought our own supplies, but also built important transportation facilities such as highways, railways, and bridges for the border country, as well as public facilities such as hospitals and schools.”
Tang Yue felt her breathing become uneven. Since China had already done so much, what was wrong with them using some of Bian Yue's things?
Zhang Dabing and Sun Jinan had been conditioned to think that way for years, but now they themselves felt that using some of the things from Bianyue Kingdom was not a big deal.
"Company commander, we'll listen to you."
Tang Yue didn't speak, so Sun Jinan quickly went out to check the situation. He felt the atmosphere inside was very tense, and if he stayed any longer, he didn't know if the company commander would take action.
A short while later, Sun Jinan returned with the county magistrate and others. Tang Yue noticed that the county magistrate and several elders looked displeased. "What's wrong?"
The county magistrate was still deeply troubled. That beast, A-Gui, had actually revealed the layout of the county town and the locations they guarded daily to the American army. He had even conspired with them to abduct five girls when they weren't looking.
However, this is not the most infuriating thing. It wasn't until today that the county magistrate learned that A-Gui had long been in cahoots with the US military, and that the people who had died or disappeared in the county town before were all the work of the US military.
The county magistrate felt ashamed. He had failed to protect his people. He had risen from clan chief to county magistrate, and although he had his own selfish motives, he had always hoped that Shanhe County would get better and better.
However, today the US military openly declared that they would attack Shanhe County in three days. Although the county magistrate and the clan elders had previously decided to fight the US military to the death, they were not yet ready, as the goddess had just promised them.
The county magistrate and his colleagues couldn't accept the sudden announcement that a war would break out in three days.
The county magistrate knelt on the ground, pleading, "Goddess, save me! The American army has sent word that they will attack Shanhe County in three days."
"Three days later? Why are we suddenly attacking you?"
Tang Yue felt something was strange. Everything had been fine before, hadn't it? What suddenly happened to the US military? Why did they suddenly decide to attack them?
The county magistrate stammered, and the Third Elder, who was waiting impatiently behind him, said, "Goddess, I don't know if it was A-Gui who told the Mi Jun about you, but the Mi Jun demanded that we hand you over, otherwise they will attack Shanhe County in three days."
Tang Yue smiled slightly, "They do have good taste."
Those few words, spoken lightly, sent shivers down the spines of the kneeling crowd. This was a goddess! How could they dare hand her over?
The county magistrate quickly stated, "Goddess, our servants absolutely have no intention of handing you over. Please enlighten us, Goddess."
Tang Yue's voice was neither warm nor cold, "This goddess is not a commodity; you cannot negotiate with her. But since they want to see me, then let's meet in three days." As she spoke, Tang Yue handed the paper she had prepared beforehand to the county magistrate.
"These are the methods for making homemade guns and black grenades. Take them and find someone to make them immediately."
The county magistrate respectfully reached out and took it. He was about to say that they didn't know how to do it, but when he looked down, he exclaimed, "Wow! It's written so clearly on this paper, there's not a single part I don't understand!"
"Let my two protectors teach you how to train soldiers and how to make things. How much you can make depends on your abilities."
After everyone left, Tang Yue projected her consciousness onto the US army battalion commander. The US army only had about 500 men, but their equipment was indeed quite good, including three tanks. Tang Yue was astonished; if they weren't on the battlefield, she would definitely have collected all of these things.
Wait, why can't she collect these things on the battlefield? Tang Yue laughed. If the US army didn't have these tanks, and if they only fought with weapons, these young men might not necessarily lose, right?
Three days later, at dawn, dark clouds loomed over the city, and the city walls of Shanhe County appeared particularly solemn in the gloom.
The roar of American tanks grew louder as they approached, raising clouds of dust. Over five hundred well-equipped American soldiers, their gleaming rifles pointed at them, arrogantly advanced towards the county town. They completely disregarded the able-bodied men of Shanhe County; some even whistled, as if this were not a war at all, but merely an easy massacre of the Bianyue Kingdom by their American army.
At the forefront of the US military column, several tanks moved slowly forward. Tank commander Johnson shouted into the walkie-talkie, "Speed up! I don't want to waste any more time with these country bumpkins."
Meanwhile, the infantry commander Smith muttered discontentedly, "Johnson, don't underestimate them. The intelligence we gathered last time said there's a goddess here. Maybe she's got some secrets."
Johnson scoffed, "What goddess? It's nothing but a charade. Smith, don't you believe in science anymore? Once we've flattened this place, any goddess will have to surrender. But I've heard this goddess is quite young; I'm not interested in children."
Their conversation reached Tang Yue's ears clearly. Originally, Tang Yue only wanted to dampen the morale of the US military, but now, Johnson must die.
