The leader was tall and had long legs. He had dark skin from years of exercise, but his eyes were bright and piercing. When he came in and saw Tang Yue sitting obediently in the chair, he raised an eyebrow and then his face darkened.
He didn't sit across the table, but instead leaned forward with his hands on the table, his eyes fixed on Tang Yue.
How were you kidnapped by human traffickers?
Why were those two human traffickers lying in the room you were in?
Where did you get the gun in your hand?
Why were you able to catch the child from the hostage so quickly?
Tang Yue initially had a good impression of these soldiers, especially after the meal with braised pork, which put her in a great mood. However, looking at the aggressive man in front of her, she suddenly became displeased.
What do you mean? Isn't she the one who was persecuted? Shouldn't these people be comforting her? She's still a child under four years old.
How could this person say such aggressive things?
Since he wasn't asking properly, she had no good answer. Tears welled up in Tang Yue's big eyes, and then streamed down her face as if she had suffered a great injustice. Then she burst into tears.
Yang Shengjun's prepared questions were shattered by this sudden burst of sobbing. He was somewhat taken aback, slammed his fist on the table, and quickly regained his composure.
He cannot be influenced by children; this may be the child's protective shield.
"Do you know where this is? Crying won't help. Tell us everything you know, and we might be able to treat you leniently."
Tang Yue was furious. What did this mean? What had she done wrong? To be treated leniently? This was even more humiliating than being confined by her sect.
She stood up from the stool, her little figure standing on the chair at eye level with Yang Shengjun, tears still on her face, but no longer flowing.
"You're a bad person. What did I do wrong? I was almost captured by those people, and you still want to lock me up and interrogate me?"
You're not a good person; the People's Liberation Army soldiers wouldn't do such a thing.
Yang Shengjun slammed his fist on the table with a loud thud.
"Don't try to change the subject, answer my question now. How were you kidnapped by those human traffickers?"
Tang Yue turned her face away angrily, not wanting to say a word to him.
Yang Shengjun was a little angry; she was a bit stubborn and wouldn't listen to reason with this child.
Chang Yin had just reported everything that happened at the train station and in the courtyard, but Yang Shengjun had always been at odds with Chang Yin, and Chang Yin had described the child as too miraculous.
How could a child under four years old subdue two human traffickers so easily? How could he take the gun from them and even fire a shot at one of the human traffickers holding a hostage?
She even miraculously caught a hostage from a human trafficker. These are things even they themselves might not be able to do. How did this little girl, with her short arms and legs, manage to do it?
He strongly suspected that Chang Yin's words were exaggerated, or that the child was arranged by human traffickers to infiltrate their ranks.
He wants to resolve this crisis at its root.
Seeing that Tang Yue turned her head away and ignored him, Yang Shengjun leaned forward again, "If you don't answer me, I'm going to take action."
Tang Yue turned to look at him in surprise. He wanted to hit her? If all soldiers in the army were like this, then he might as well not be a father.
However, she couldn't swallow this insult. She squinted at Yang Shengjun and said each word clearly.
"You want to hit me? What did I do wrong? Are you interrogating me? You want to torture me when I haven't done anything wrong? You're not a qualified soldier at all."
Also, haven't I told you yet that I'm very strong? Shall I demonstrate for you?
As she spoke, Tang Yue's little fist swung out. Although she was very angry, she still knew that this person was a soldier in the army. If she hit him too hard, she didn't know what trouble it would cause her parents.
But if she didn't vent her anger, she wouldn't be able to eat her meal today.
The fist came straight for Yang Shengjun's face with incredible speed. Yang Shengjun initially didn't take Tang Yue's fist seriously. But when the wind from the fist swept over, his eyes widened in surprise, but it was too late.
With a loud "bang," Tang Yue's fist landed squarely on Yang Shengjun's left cheek. Even though Yang Shengjun was a seasoned fighter with a stable stance, Tang Yue's punch flattened his head, and he even lost his balance, taking half a step to the side.
A metallic sweetness spread through Yang Shengjun's mouth. He licked the side of his face that had been hit, and a wicked smile curled at the corners of his lips.
"Heh, you dare to fight with soldiers? Little girl, do you have a death wish? Or have you finally shown your true colors?"
"Little girl, you'd better tell the truth. Otherwise, you won't be leaving this house today."
Tang Yue had suffered a lot of humiliation from her senior brothers and sisters when she was in the sect. Now that she was here, if these people didn't have guns, she could easily beat 100 of them to death with her physique.
How could she tolerate this person still daring to stand in front of her and yell at her?
The little fist was raised again, and Wang Ming quickly stepped forward to stop it.
"Hey, hey, little girl, let's talk this out, don't hit me."
Yang Shengjun then reached out and pulled Wang Ming aside, saying, "Get out of the way. I'm in charge of today's interrogation; it's none of your business."
Turning to Tang Yue, he said, "Come on, little girl, keep going. Don't you know what the charge is for assaulting an interrogator?"
Tang Yue blinked. "You were the one who said you were going to beat me up. I'm too small to beat you, so this was just me defending myself."
