Chapter 61 A Man in Disguise

It seems that the name "department store" has spread throughout China; you can find it in almost every city.

They headed straight to the department store. Lin Cuicui was probably provoked by Qi Meizhen, and bought two outfits for each of the four children in one go. Later, she saw two pretty dresses and bought them for Tang Yue as well.

They still had some cloth coupons, and Lin Cuicui picked out several colors of cloth to buy, intending to make clothes for the children when she got home.

They've always been looked down upon in Qiligou because of their poverty. Now that she has money, why would she let her children suffer?

She wanted to buy some for Tang Shengkai and Old Li, but they refused.

"Cui Cui, I'm going to the army. They'll provide clothes for me, so I won't have to buy them myself."

“Yes, Cuicui. Dad still has several clothes here. Besides, you bought some fabric, so you can make a couple more later. But you should buy a few for yourself.”

Lin Cuicui wanted to say that she didn't need to buy anything, but Tang Shengkai disagreed and bought her two outfits, one inside and one outside.

When they left the department store, they were already considered big customers. They had spent nearly 100 yuan that afternoon. As they left, Lin Cuicui regretted it a little; why had she gotten so worked up over a stranger and wasted so much money?

Tang Bei and the others were very excited. Holding the clothes in their arms, the children were extremely satisfied. They finally had their own new clothes.

After getting the address from the guesthouse staff, the family had dinner and rested well for the night.

The next morning, everyone arrived at the dock early.

The South Island is an hour's boat ride from the border town. This group of people had never been on a boat before.

At 7:20, a black dot appeared in the distance on the sea. The dot grew larger and larger until it reached the dock.

The group was stunned by the ship before them.

This ship is absolutely gorgeous. They've never seen anything like it before. They were even more astonished as they watched people continuously disembarking.

This ship can hold so many people! After everyone else disembarked, Tang Yue and her family were finally allowed to board. After paying their tickets, they toured the entire ship before finally settling on the deck.

The ship set sail at 8 o'clock, and the sea breeze blew in their faces. Surrounded by the boundless sea, the group felt their hearts expand as well. But they hadn't gone far when Lin Cuicui's face grew paler and paler.

She gripped the railing tightly with both hands, afraid to move, her breathing gradually becoming rapid. Tang Yue was the first to notice that something was wrong with her.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

Tang Shengkai turned around and was startled to see Lin Cuicui's pale face. "Cuicui, Cuicui, what's wrong?"

"Third, Third Brother, it's me,"

Before she could finish speaking, Lin Cuicui quickly leaned over the railing.

A note from the author:
