Chapter 72 Dizziness and Confusion

72

Although Lin Cuicui was working, her gaze would occasionally sweep over her little girl.

Seeing her little girl sitting motionless on the edge of the field with her eyes closed, she assumed her daughter hadn't slept well the night before and was now asleep. Or perhaps she was cultivating herself during a lull in her schedule.

Lin Cuicui chuckled. This child was quite pragmatic, always thinking about cultivation.

She pulled the weeds again, and when she looked up, she noticed that her little girl looked pained, and fine beads of sweat were forming on her forehead.

Lin Cuicui was shocked. What happened? Was her daughter sick again?

Ignoring everything else, Lin Cuicui hurriedly crawled out of the ground and stumbled to Tang Yue's side.

The little girl sat motionless on the ground, her face pale and her eyes closed. Lin Cuicui felt her heart break. She gently reached out and touched Tang Yue's arm.

"Yue, Yueyue, what's wrong?"

Tang Yue was dizzy and had no strength left. Sensing Lin Cuicui approaching, she barely opened her eyes and said, "Mom, I'm fine, just a little tired."

"tired?"

Lin Cuicui was somewhat suspicious. Was her daughter hiding something from her? She had been sitting by the edge of the field the whole time; what was so tiring about that? But her daughter had always been sickly since she was little; could it be that she had walked too much today?

Looking back at the land, there wasn't much left.

Just then, Old Li pulled up two more furrows. "Dad, Yueyue isn't feeling well. I want to take her home first."

"Can you, Da Bei, and Er Nan finish the rest?"

Old Li had just pulled up those two rows that Tang Yue had pulled before; they were spotless. And once those rows were done, there wouldn't be many left.

"What's wrong with Yueyue? Is she feeling unwell? Should we take her to town or to the hospital to see a doctor?"

Old Li didn't directly mention the land, but Lin Cuicui felt as if her heart was being soaked in sweet water, a sweet feeling welling up inside her.

Although this was the father they recognized, Old Li genuinely treated them as family.

"I don't think it's anything serious. I'll carry her home and let her sleep in bed, and she'll probably be fine. If not, we'll see."

"Then hurry up and go. The weeds we pulled today are pretty clean. We should be able to finish by early this morning. You stay home and take care of Yueyue. You don't need to come."

Lin Cuicui didn't expect to finish the farm work so quickly, but she was indeed worried about Tang Yue's current situation.

"Well, Dad, you've worked hard. I'll take the kids home now."

Lin Cuicui noticed that Tang Yue seemed to have fallen asleep, and her breathing had become much longer and more even.

Ignoring everyone else, Lin Cuicui picked up Tang Yue and rushed home.

When Lin Cuicui reached the door, she discovered a problem: she couldn't seem to get into her house. No matter which way she went, something seemed to be blocking her way. She gently bumped into something, and it felt quite hard.

I didn't want to wake my daughter, but I had no choice.

"Yueyue, Yueyue? Wake up, we're home. Um, Mom can't get into the house."

Tang Yue felt a little better than before, but she still couldn't help but chuckle when she heard that Lin Cuicui couldn't get into the house.

With difficulty, he opened his eyes and pointed to a small stone under the door.

"Mom, you can go inside if you move that stone. Remember its location, and next time you need to go out, just put the stone back in place yourself."

Lin Cuicui squatted down with Tang Yue in her arms and gently moved the small stone. Sure enough, the obstruction at the doorway disappeared.

Lin Cuicui put Tang Yue on the bed and quickly went out to boil water.

In the past, when her child was sick and she didn't have money to see a doctor, she would give the child more hot water to drink, which had become a habit of Lin Cuicui.

Lying in bed, Tang Yue fell asleep comfortably.

When Tang Bei and Tang Nan arrived at the field, they found that their younger sister was missing. They were a little worried and called out a couple of times. When they heard from their grandfather that their sister had gone home, they were relieved.

But their sister was doing just fine here, so why had she gone home? The two brothers were a little worried about her, and they worked even faster.

When Tang Yue woke up, it was already completely dark, and there was no sound at all in the house.

Tang Yue instinctively used her senses to check on the situation at home and found that everyone was busy with their own things, but no one made a sound.

Tang Yue smiled; her family was so kind.

Huh? Why doesn't her head hurt anymore? And she can still think.

Tang Yue lay motionless on the bed, her consciousness returning to her mind, where she discovered that the white, misty things had returned.

Tang Yue hadn't studied the difference between consciousness and spiritual power before, but now she vaguely understood it. However, she couldn't articulate it clearly yet. But she was certain that these white, misty things were spiritual power.

She used her consciousness to check, and it seemed that there were more of these white, ethereal spiritual energies.

There was nothing that could be measured, and Tang Yue had no way of knowing how much more it had.

Thinking this way, she had a new idea.

Make a box, put all this spiritual energy in the box, mark the scale, and then you'll know how much spiritual energy you have.

Without further ado, Tang Yue figured that if this thing could grow longer after each use, she'd need to carve out a bigger box. But her imagination was limited; making it too big wouldn't work.

Tang Yue drew a large box around the edge of her mind.

The needle that was halfway through filling in that afternoon was still floating in the air. Tang Yue thought she should finish filling it as soon as possible so she could test whether the method actually worked.

The second filling was much easier than the first time. With a lot of mental energy in her mind, Tang Yue finished filling the barbed needle in no time.
