Hansen tossed aside his empty gun, drew a military knife from his waist, and engaged Chang Yin in fierce close combat. Chang Yin, not wanting bullets to damage anything here, had been trying his best to control them. Now, Hansen's use of a knife suited his needs perfectly.
The two exchanged blows, their blades flashing, and the surrounding equipment was kicked and knocked askew by Hansen. While fighting Hansen, Chang Yin kept an eye on his surroundings, and when he spotted valuable equipment or documents, he discreetly stored them in his storage space.
Although Tang Shengkai was brave, he was outnumbered and gradually began to struggle. One of his guards seized an opportunity and punched him in the stomach. Tang Shengkai groaned and staggered back a few steps.
But he quickly regained his balance, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes. Suddenly, he lunged forward, his dagger aimed straight for the other man's throat.
However, just as Tang Shengkai dealt with the guard, another guard seized the opportunity to rush towards the control panel of the self-destruct device. Tang Shengkai was extremely anxious and, without even wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, ran towards the control panel.
Just as he was about to reach the guard, he lunged and tackled him to the ground, where the two rolled around.
During a lull in the fighting, Hansen charged toward the self-destruct device again. Chang Yin's pupils constricted, and without bothering to engage the guards in front of him, he threw a smoke grenade.
Thick white smoke instantly filled the control center. Relying on his memory of the terrain, he navigated through the smoke and finally tackled Hansen to the ground the instant his fingertips touched the button.
The two rolled and wrestled on the ground. Hansen pulled out a small pistol from his sleeve, but Chang Yin held his wrist down tightly.
Hansen strained to aim the gun at Chang Yin, veins bulging, sweat dripping from his forehead onto the back of Chang Yin's hand. Chang Yin gritted his teeth, his other hand gripping Hansen's neck, and his knee slammed into Hansen's abdomen. With a muffled thud, the small pistol clattered to the ground.
Almost simultaneously, Tang Shengkai dispatched the last guard and rushed to provide support. Chang Yin seized the opportunity to press the muzzle of his gun against Hansen's head and shouted, "Don't move!" Hansen gasped for breath, his eyes filled with resentment and despair, before finally collapsing helplessly to the ground.
At this moment, the central control center was in a mess, filled with the pungent smell of gunpowder and blood.
Chang Yin and Tang Shengkai exchanged a glance, both seeing the joy of surviving a close call in each other's eyes. But the battle was not over yet; they had to quickly eliminate the remaining enemies and ensure the safety of the control center in order to completely take control of this once impregnable underground fortress.
