Chapter 338 Tang Yue Wakes Up

338

Tang Yue woke up amidst the violent rocking of the ship. The first thing she did upon waking was to survey her surroundings; it was clear she was in a cabin. It seemed they were already on the ship.

However, Tang Yue frowned at the ship's rocking; it seemed Tang Jianye and the others weren't doing well. Extending her consciousness outwards, Tang Yue saw what was happening outside the ship. At the same time, Tang Yue was thankful that she had woken up at this moment.

Otherwise, her hard-won body, her family, and everything she wanted to protect would all vanish. A missile was being launched at an alarming speed toward their wrecked ship.

Meanwhile, the ship was still struggling to turn, whether due to some malfunction or because it was no longer under the control of the control room, Tang Yue noticed a resolute glint beneath Tang Jianye's calm expression. It seemed they had already anticipated what was to come, yet they remained steadfast in their positions without the slightest hesitation.

After clearly seeing the missile's trajectory, Tang Yue used her spiritual power to propel the ship rapidly toward the direction from which the missile had been launched.

The pilot, who had just felt he was about to succeed, was already celebrating with the co-pilot in the air. Although this victory wasn't solely due to their plane, they were the ones who ultimately hit the target, weren't they?

The co-pilot was just about to compliment the pilot when his eyes fell on the sea, and he exclaimed in disbelief, "Oh! How could this be!"

Dissatisfied that the co-pilot didn't continue to flatter him, the driver turned his head and his gaze inadvertently fell upon the American cargo ship that was speeding away at sea.

The pilot felt his military history had been severely challenged. How could this be? This couldn't possibly happen. He immediately began the pursuit, the location of the missile explosion no longer his concern.

But when he turned around and looked at the sea again, he found that the cargo ship was gone.

There were still 13 aircraft in the air at that moment, and Tang Jianye and his team shot down two of them using the cargo ship's firepower. At this moment, all the aircraft realized the problem: the explosion they expected had not occurred; to be precise, the cargo ship had not been destroyed by the missile.

The anger and frustration of the crew were palpable. However, having failed in their mission, they had to continue the pursuit. They all knew the cargo ship was now at its last gasp, and no miracle was possible.

Rather than watching the ship sink, they would much rather see it struck by missiles and torn to shreds. Only that would give them the thrill of revenge.

But by then they couldn't find the cargo ship. Some pilots couldn't find it after changing direction, while others had been tracking it without blinking, but in just a moment, the cargo ship completely disappeared before their eyes.

"What's going on? Why has the cargo ship disappeared?"

"Yes, I can't see any trace of the cargo ship either."

Does anyone know which direction it's going?

Finally, according to one of the pilots, all the planes circled above the spot where the cargo ship had disappeared. This was so bizarre that they believed the magnetic field in the area had changed, which was why they could no longer see the cargo ship.

The people on the cargo ship were still in shock. They had already foreseen their deaths; with this missile, they would say goodbye to this world.

There were so many things they wanted to do, so many wishes they wanted to fulfill, but the opportunities were all gone. As soldiers, protecting their country and sacrificing for it was ingrained in their very bones. Yet the enemy continued to provoke them from the air, and they were powerless to retaliate; this feeling was incredibly frustrating.

Tang Jianye had made final preparations. If the ship couldn't move in the next second, he would order everyone to jump. Every life saved was a life saved.

Tang Yue walked from the cabin to the deck, where she saw everyone staring blankly ahead, unable to come to their senses. "What are you all doing?"

"Whoosh!" This time, Tang Yue attracted a lot of attention. Tang Jianye realized that even if he did nothing, the cargo ship was already shooting forward like an arrow. He quickly walked a few steps to Tang Yue's side. "Tang Yue, you're awake. Is anything bothering you?"

Cao Shengli, Deng Zhiqiang, and others also came forward to inquire, seemingly forgetting that they were currently on the run.

Tang Yue hadn't noticed until they brought it up, and then she realized she was in great spirits, her previously depleted spiritual energy slowly recovering. The spiritual energy concentration here was excellent, several times higher than in the sea area between Japan and China.

At this moment, Tang Yue did nothing, and spiritual energy kept seeping into every pore of her body. Tang Yue couldn't describe the feeling of comfort that she experienced.

"Yes, I'm fine now." As she spoke, Tang Yue had already deployed a Japanese ship in the distance, and they quickly arrived at its side. After it stopped, Tang Yue gestured with her chin towards the Japanese ship, "Let's change ships."

Although these people have some doubts about her abilities, they still need to cover it up. As long as she doesn't say it, she can deny it, right?

Tang Jianye and the others stared blankly at the Japanese warship that had suddenly appeared before them. Although they had many questions in their minds, none of them said a word at this moment.

They moved quickly, soon laying planks between the two boats, and then swiftly transferring the people to the warship. Several men carried Fei Bing out of the room and onto the warship. Tang Yue saw Fei Bing's flushed face clearly, "Didn't you give him any medicine?"

Chen Duxing nodded. "He's already eaten. There are some anti-inflammatory drugs in the cabins of the American ships. But he has too many wounds. Although we've treated them, it's not as thorough as what you'd get at a hospital."

Tang Yue didn't think so, but now was not the time to discuss this; they would have time to examine it properly later.
