Chapter 451 The US Army Has Arrived

When the US troops were about 300 meters away from the gate of Shanhe County, they escorted the girl they had previously kidnapped to the front of the line. A US soldier who spoke Vietnamese-Chinese raised a megaphone and shouted:

"Listen up, people of Shanhe County! If you don't want these girls to die, hand over the Goddess immediately! Otherwise, we'll deal with them one by one right in front of you!"

Upon seeing this, the able-bodied men on the city wall were filled with righteous indignation, their hands gripping their weapons so tightly that the veins bulged.

Tang Yue, dressed in a white robe and wearing a crown inlaid with jewels, stood on the city wall, like a god descended to earth.

Behind her, Sun Jinan and Zhang Dabing were still dressed in their brightly colored clothes, holding well-made pistols in their hands, guarding Tang Yue on both sides, their eyes watching the US soldiers' every move warily.

As the American soldiers escorted the kidnapped girl to the front of the procession, the able-bodied men on the city wall glared angrily, while the people behind them were filled with anxiety.

Many parents gripped their homemade guns tightly, their knuckles white, tears welling in their eyes. "My little girl!"

A mother's heart-wrenching cry pierced the air, causing a pang of pain in everyone's hearts. How could they bear to watch their children become tools of the US military's threat? Yet, faced with the dark muzzles of guns and the intimidation of tanks, they dared not make a move, and could only silently pray for their children's safety.

These abducted girls, already emaciated from long-term imprisonment, swayed precariously as the American soldiers pushed and shoved them.

Their eyes were filled with fear and despair, yet they stubbornly refused to fall, knowing that if they did, there would be only one outcome: a loud "bang" and their lives would be over.

After the arrogant pronouncements from the US military, Shanhe County remained silent, and did not surrender in panic as they had expected.

Johnson immediately grew impatient and roared into the walkie-talkie, "What are you dawdling for! Full speed ahead! I want to see what tricks these cowards can pull!"

Smith frowned and stopped Johnson, saying, "Johnson, don't rush, something seems wrong. Those people wouldn't let us get close so easily; there's definitely a trap! There might be landmines ahead!"

Johnson scoffed: "Smith, when did you become such a coward? Are you going to be scared out of your wits by a few ghostly tricks?"

The two were arguing, when Johnson suddenly remembered Ah Gui and shouted, "Bring that Ah Gui here!"

Ah Gui bowed and scraped as he ran to the two officers, his face full of fawning smiles, and asked, "What are your orders, officers?"
