Chapter 39 The Deadly Soldier

However, it was too late. Tang Yue's figure appeared behind him like a ghost, her pistol already pointed at his back.

"Don't move." Her voice was icy, like a summons from hell.

Tianye paused for a moment, his face turning pale instantly, but how could he possibly listen to Tang Yue?

Tianye-kun dodged Tang Yue's pistol with a swift movement, then pointed his own pistol at Tang Yue.

When he saw the little figure in front of him, a look of shock flashed across Tianye's eyes.

"Did you kill Higashiyama-kun and Oda-kun?"

Mr. Tianye was clearly still somewhat incredulous; the child didn't look to be four years old. How ironic that a warrior of his great empire had died at the hands of a little girl not even four years old!

"Heh! Not just them, but you too!"

Tianye-kun didn't underestimate Tang Yue at all, but he still wanted to know who she was. For no other reason than that he already sensed a strong threat emanating from Tang Yue.

Tianye had a premonition that he might not be able to get down this mountain today.

"Who are you?" Tano-kun's voice trembled slightly.

Tang Yue sneered: "I am the nightmare of you spies."

"You?" A hint of doubt flashed in Oda's eyes. "You're Tang Shengkai's daughter?"

A hint of surprise flashed in Tang Yue's eyes. She hadn't expected that these spies would know her identity.

"You spies really do your homework. But now that you know who I am, I'm even less likely to let you leave alive." Tang Yue's voice carried a hint of determination.

Her finger pulled the trigger again, a gunshot rang out, and Tang Yue's figure vanished from the spot. As Tang Yue pulled the trigger, Tian Ye also fired. Then, Tian Ye dodged to the left, quickly avoiding Tang Yue's bullet.

Just as he stood still, preparing to fire at Tang Yue again, his pupils contracted; he couldn't find Tang Yue anymore.

Just as he turned his head, he caught a glimpse of a cold light out of the corner of his eye, then felt a chill run down his neck, and then he felt like he couldn't breathe.

Tang Yue was already standing in front of him with her back to him. Tian Ye Jun struggled to raise his hand, intending to aim the gun at Tang Yue again, but the gun slipped limply from his grasp halfway up. Then his body leaned back and fell, his eyes filled with deep resentment.

Tang Yue took a deep breath. She ignored the spy's body; the gunshots would only draw the villagers up the mountain again.

The people of Qiligou didn't want her father to join the army, did they? They thought he wasn't productive. Now let them see. If Tang Shengkai stays in the village, they'll have to get used to this kind of gunfire.

Her gaze fell on the black boxes again, a surge of curiosity rising within her. How much money was inside these boxes this time?

Tang Yue now wanted these spies to come more often, as if they knew her family was desperate for money, and that they would bring money every time they came. The days of sudden wealth were just around the corner. Tang Yue felt no embarrassment whatsoever.

Hearing footsteps approaching from halfway up the mountain, and with darkness falling, Tang Yue placed the three black boxes into the formation she had set up last time. Then, she took down the roasted pig leg, extinguished the fire, and descended the mountain from the other side.
