The commotion was minimal; after injuring six people, the group returned to the cannon's position.
The US warships did not slow down, and soon the Chinese side was able to fire. Tang Yue fired first, and every shot hit the target accurately. The others followed suit.
Within minutes, a strong smell of blood filled the air on the US warships.
Just as Albert, Oda, and Fujino felt they were about to subdue the Chinese warship, two violent impacts nearly knocked them off their feet.
Albert grabbed the railing and asked anxiously, "What happened?"
An American soldier, his face pale, came over to report, "Colonel Albert, our warships are surrounded by a swarm of sharks."
"What?"
Albert could hardly believe his ears; this was the first time they had ever been surrounded by a swarm of sharks.
"Open fire and drive them away immediately!"
"yes!"
Several sharks were also circling around Tang Yue's warship, and Sun Jinan felt his heart tremble. "Company Commander, how can there be so many sharks?"
Tang Yue had only seen a few on the surface of the sea, but she hadn't expected so many to be attracted. The sea below was pitch black. "Hurry, are there any small islands nearby?"
Sun Jinan looked around and pointed to a spot, saying, "Company Commander, there's an island not far from here, but it's not very big."
"Now, in the past."
"yes!"
However, the sharks circled around the warships, and the warships would collide with the sharks as soon as they moved forward, making it difficult to even change direction.

Tang Yue and her group successfully made their way to the island.
"Company Commander, what kind of magic was that? How did the shark swarm leave?"
Tang Yue looked at Sun Jinan and said, "Now that the country is established, you're not allowed to talk nonsense. No one on our side was injured, and the sharks left because they had nothing to eat. I was just trying to coax them like I would a chick."
