The battle on the mountain was intense. Instead of staying back to back, the men kept changing positions, looking for cover before firing downhill.
According to Tang Yue's observation, the chances of Lin Cuicui and Old Li hitting anyone are extremely small. So far, Old Li has hit one spy in the leg, Lin Cuicui has hit one spy in the abdomen and another in the shoulder, and there are no other hits yet.
Lu Zhanheng, as expected of someone with battlefield experience, was an excellent marksman. Although he fired many blanks, his overall record was good. So far, he had killed six spies and wounded several others.
The three brothers could always see the spy firing his gun. Although the frequency of the shots was not high, their accuracy was almost 100%.
Although the spy was not killed outright, he was still inflicted considerable damage.
Tang Yue rarely fired her gun unless the person was rushing up to her within 300 meters and none of her men had noticed her. Only then would Tang Yue fire without mercy, ending the person's lucky yet tragic life.
The rest of the time, Tang Yue calmly observed how each member of her family grew during the gunfight.
The mountains and forests under the cover of night should have been peaceful and serene, but at this moment they were shrouded in dense gunfire and a tense atmosphere. Tang Yue's family and Lu Zhanheng, along with others, relied on the rocks and trees in the forest to engage in a life-or-death struggle with a group of secret agents.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Gunshots echoed through the valley, flashes of light flickering in the night. Lin Cuicui leaned against a small rock, gripping her pistol tightly. Her palms were sweaty, but her eyes grew increasingly resolute. She knew that every shot she fired now was a matter of life and death.
"Cui Cui, stay hidden!" Old Li's voice was low and urgent. His experience told him that the agents' attack had only just begun.
Just then, a bullet whistled past and struck the rock next to them, sending shards of rock flying.
Lin Cuicui and Old Li were not far from the stone. They quickly ducked to avoid the flying stone fragments.
"Everyone be careful, the spies have started their attack!" Lu Zhanheng's voice revealed a hint of tension, but his actions remained calm and orderly.
His eyes searched the darkness for traces of the spies. After calming down, they were getting closer and closer to the spies. Lu Zhanheng tried to be precise with each pull of the trigger.
The three Tang brothers, relying on their night vision, became a key force in this battle. Their eyes gleamed in the darkness, and every shot they fired carried the courage and impulsiveness that came with maturity from childhood.
"Second Brother, there's someone on the left!" Tang Dong's voice was low and urgent. His eyes were fixed on the darkness ahead, and his gun was steadily pointed at the target.
"Bang!" Tang Nan's gunshot rang out, a flash of light piercing the darkness, followed by the agent's scream. Tang Bei and Tang Dong were not to be outdone; their gunshots rang out in quick succession, adding even more tension to the battle.
Tang Yue's gaze swept across the battlefield; she was now in control of the entire war. She knew that although her family and Lu Zhanheng were fighting hard, the number and firepower of the special agents were not to be underestimated. However, such training opportunities were precious in this era, and Tang Yue didn't want to waste them.
"Yueyue, how are you?" Lin Cuicui's voice trembled slightly as she worried about her daughter's safety.
"Mom, I'm fine." Tang Yue's voice was calm and emotionless.
The battle intensified, and the agents' offensive grew increasingly fierce. Utilizing the terrain of the mountains and forests, they constantly changed positions, and now agents were positioned all around the small hill where they were, trying to find better firing angles.
"Attention everyone, we're surrounded by spies! Watch every angle," Lu Zhanheng's voice carried a hint of warning. The current situation meant they had to be even more careful; danger could lurk in any corner.
Just then, a bullet suddenly flew towards Lu Zhanheng's chest. Lu Zhanheng was warning everyone that even if he noticed the bullet coming, there was no way to completely avoid it.
Tang Yue reacted extremely quickly, her body instantly lunging out and tackling Lu Zhanheng to the ground, where she rolled away.
"Watch out!" Tang Yue's voice was urgent, and a cold glint flashed in her eyes. She quickly raised her hand and fired several shots in the direction from which the bullets were coming.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Gunshots echoed through the night sky, followed by the screams of the spies. Tang Yue's marksmanship was impeccable; every shot hit its target.
Tang Yue's heart pounded faster with the rhythm of the gunfire, her eyes flashing with a calm light, her consciousness like an invisible net, once again covering the entire battlefield.
Lu Zhanheng's face was covered in mud and sweat. He tucked Tang Yue behind a large rock and moved to another spot without even having a chance to say thank you.
His eyes were sharp as an eagle's, and after deliberate restraint, each trigger pull was incredibly precise. The whistling of bullets and the dull thud of bullets hitting their targets echoed in his ears; to him, these sounds were both the prelude to death and the clarion call to survival.
Moreover, this battle stirred up the blood within him that had been dormant for a long time.
"Watch your left!" Lu Zhanheng's voice was calm and steady. Before he finished speaking, Tang Bei had already rolled and dodged behind a small rock. Almost at the same moment, a burst of bullets struck the spot where he had just been, sending stone chips flying everywhere.
Tang Bei's heart pounded like a drum. He gripped his pistol tightly, his knuckles turning white from the force, his breathing rapid, but his eyes remained resolute. In just over an hour, they seemed to have undergone a spiritual baptism.
