Chapter 82 The Secret in the Cave

Tang Yue sighed, gently got up, and left the house. The small figure outside was still trembling, its suppressed sobs making Tang Yue's heart ache.

I sat down gently beside him and waited quietly for him to finish venting.

Tang Bei felt that he had never felt so sad in his entire life. The oppressive feeling made it hard for him to breathe. But with his family in complete chaos because of his younger brothers being beaten, he had no time to think about his own situation.

Finally, everyone fell asleep. Tang Bei lay in bed, the scenes of the day replaying in his mind. The more he thought about it, the more guilty he felt, and the more distressed he became. Why hadn't he insisted then? At least then, one of his two younger brothers wouldn't have had to be beaten.

He wouldn't be lying in bed like this now, unable to even lift his arm. He deserves to die, he really deserves to die.

Tang Yue sat for a long time, but seeing that Tang Bei still showed no sign of stopping, she finally had no choice but to gently pat his back with her small hand.

Tang Bei straightened his back instantly, then turned around and looked at Tang Yue in disbelief, with big tears still on his face.

"Sister, little sister."

His voice was nasal and full of grievance. Tang Yue slightly propped herself up to pat Tang Bei's back, "Big brother, it's not your fault."

Upon hearing this, Tang Bei's tears flowed even more fiercely. He shook his head, his voice suppressed, "No, if I hadn't been watching the firewood, one of them would definitely have been spared from being beaten."

"Brother, if that's the case, will one of them also feel guilty and unable to sleep like you?"

Tang Bei's face stiffened, and the tears in his eyes stopped flowing.

"Brother, we're all family. Everyone feels sorry for whoever gets hurt. You must be feeling bad right now, right? Wouldn't it be better to be lying in bed covered in injuries?"

Also, brother, this was an unexpected incident. None of us knew those people would be so despicable, right?

So if anyone is wrong, it's them, it really has nothing to do with us.

"But, I..."

"Big brother, if second brother and third brother knew that you were blaming yourself so much, they would feel even worse."

Tang Bei quickly wiped his face. "Okay, I understand."

Tang Yue said helplessly, "Big brother, I can heal my brothers. But since their organs are damaged, I can help them repair the surface wounds, but they still need rest and medication to properly recuperate."

Tomorrow I'm going up the mountain to gather herbs. My second and third brothers probably won't be able to work for quite some time. My eldest brother will have to work even harder from now on.

Tang Bei heard clearly from his sister that she could cure his second and third brothers, and he was completely relieved. "Sister, I'm not afraid of hardship. I won't let them do any of the housework from now on. I'm strong, I can do it all by myself."

Tang Yue smiled and deliberately yawned a big yawn. "Big brother, I'm sleepy. Let's go back to the room and sleep."

As the two got up, Lin Cuicui and Old Li, who were at the door of the outer room, quickly went back inside and pretended to be asleep. Tang Yue smiled. This is home. It's so nice.

The next day, Tang Yue treated Tang Nan and Tang Dong, and after confirming that their internal injuries had healed by half and their condition was much better than the day before, she carried a basket on her back and went up the mountain herself.

The basket on her back wasn't very big. Tang Yue turned to look at Old Li and said, "Grandpa, if you have time, could you weave me a big basket?"

Old Li's lips twitched as he looked at the small figure that was already hidden by the basket on his back.

"Yueyue, do you really not want Grandpa to come up the mountain with you?"

Tang Yue nodded firmly, "Grandpa, don't you trust me?"

"Should we bring a guy along?"

Tang Yue knew what Old Li was referring to, but it was best to keep that thing out of sight as much as possible. Once it went off, it wouldn't just affect the whole village.

"No need, Grandpa, you go to work. Let my mother rest at home for a few days."

Tang Yue walked away with her basket on her back.

She left home early, but the villagers were all up early, and some people were already strolling along the road. Tang Yue didn't want anyone to see her, so she focused her consciousness and walked towards an empty space. Soon, her figure disappeared into the forest.

While she was in the sect, she often helped the outer sect's medicine mountain with tasks, so she had a good understanding of the growing environment and medicinal effects of many herbs. Although she couldn't refine very complicated pills, she could still make a few simple ones.

Even if there are no alchemy tools here, it should be possible to make medicine, since the people here are not as physically strong as those in the cultivation world.

Tang Yue hadn't paid much attention to the herbs on the ground when she went up the mountain yesterday, but today, as soon as she entered, she saw all six herbs she needed. She was both delighted and puzzled. With so many medicinal herbs in the mountains, why hadn't anyone dug them up?

Soon, Tang Yue's basket was more than half full, enough to feed her two older brothers for a month or so. Anyway, there was plenty of food on the mountain, so she didn't need to dig so much at once.

Carrying the basket on my back, I continued walking into the mountains, sighing to myself, "If only I had a storage bag or a storage bracelet." Carrying this basket like this for so long is really tiring.

While she was complaining, Tang Yue felt something move in her mind. She went into her mind and saw that the big box she had drawn had just trembled.

Tang Yue raised an eyebrow. This thing has consciousness? That's really strange. But she's been busy these past few days and forgot to refill it. Now that she has some free time, Tang Yue refilled the large box as she walked into the mountains.

Besides gathering medicinal herbs, she had also wanted to explore the mountains. Now that she was filling the box with her mental energy, she no longer needed to consciously cover her surroundings. She was certain that nothing in the mountains could harm her.

The village chief said that if they beat everyone, they could get half of the loot. That was quite a temptation, and since they were here, they naturally had to abide by the rules.
