Chapter 136 How many legs does that have?

Although it's not as relatable to everyday life, Tang Yue thinks it's great.

Xu Zhenfei's mother is very talkative and has been coming over to chat with Lin Cuicui frequently these past few days. Lin Cuicui has finally started to feel a sense of belonging here.

When Chang Yin arranged for someone to deliver furniture to Tang Yue's family, it caused quite a stir throughout the entire residential compound.

The sight of the two large truckloads of goods shocked many of the women. How many legs must they have? What was the background of this family? They looked so impressive. If Aunt Kong hadn't been criticized a couple of days ago, they would have all wondered if this was a sign of capitalist practices.

However, since Sister Kong had just gotten into trouble, no one dared to walk into the line of fire. They simply exchanged glances, understanding each other implicitly. They were absolutely determined not to be the first to reveal these things.

The furniture was all solid wood, with every corner and detail polished smooth and coated with pine varnish. It had a faint, pleasant fragrance that Tang Yue found quite appealing.

Their house is quite large, with each room being quite spacious. There are five beds in total, all of them double beds.

Tang Yue had one card for herself, Lin Cuicui and Tang Shengkai had one card, Old Li had one card, and the three Tang brothers shared two cards. When they were put together, the cards were even bigger than the kang (heated brick bed) they used to sleep on in the village.

There were no tables or wardrobes in the house. The ones they used before were simply nailed together by Tang Shengkai and were not presentable.

This time, Tang Yue had all the wardrobes, desks, and stools made in each room. The small table and dining table in the main room were also made.

Sofas weren't common back then, and Tang Yue had no idea what they were. However, she did know what a row of chairs that seated several people was. She drew up the plans herself, and Chang Yin gave them to the craftsman there.

This time, Chang Yin also brought back three chairs that could seat four people each.

Tang Yue was quite satisfied with these items. The furniture in her home was now complete. On the way here, Tang Yue had heard quite a bit of news.

At least she took care of the sewing machine and the bicycle.

She remembered having tickets for both items in her personal space; they were probably used by those spies to bribe people, but now they belonged to her.

Tang Yue thought she would have to discuss it with Lin Cuicui another day and buy those two items.

However, considering how frugal her mother was, it would be a bit difficult to get her to spend money on these two items.

Tang Yue suddenly regretted giving all the money to Lin Cuicui.

Although the money is currently in her personal space, her mother will still feel uneasy if she spends it without her mother's permission.

Tang Yue sighed. "Forget it," she thought, "I'll see what kind of deal I can negotiate with the military recently. How about selling them the drug I used to drug those spies last time? Even though it's not used often, you never know when it might come in handy."
