Chapter 2 I forgot my third brother at home

Tang Dong stood up, his eyes filled with rage. He lowered his head and charged at Tang Shengli like a cannonball: "What did you do? You didn't do anything, so why is my dad lying on the ground? Give me back my dad!"

Caught off guard, Tang Shengli was knocked back several steps by Tang Dong's bump. His anger flared up instantly, and he decided to drop the pretense. He puffed out his chest and said matter-of-factly, "What's wrong? I just came to get something, and Lao San kept stopping me from taking it. What's wrong with me pushing him?"

"Take things? What did you take? What right do you have to take my things!" Tang Dong's voice was as angry as a lion's, his little fists clenched tightly, looking like he was about to throw them at any moment.

Tang Shengli glanced at Tang Dong with disdain, "Get out of here, you little brat, you have no right to speak."

"What if I were to ask you? What exactly did you take?"

The village head, being older, walked slower than the villagers and could hear the commotion coming from Tang Shengkai's house from afar. He had just reached the door when he heard Tang Shengli's shameless remarks.

What's going on with the Tang family? Apart from the third son, none of them are reliable.

"Oh ho, the brigade leader is here. Hehe, but brigade leader, this is our Tang family's own private matter, so you don't need to bother with it, right? No matter how capable you are, brigade leader, you don't have the right to interfere in our own family affairs, right?"

The third brother is useless now, he's no good for anything. What's the point of him eating so much if he can't work? It would be better to feed him, we could earn more work points that way.

"It'll be mine sooner or later anyway, so what's wrong with me coming early to get some?"

"Heh, Tang Shengli, the third brother's family was saving this little bit of grain for the New Year. If you take it all away, what will they eat?"

Besides, you've already separated your families, so no matter what, third brother, you have no share in this."

"Tch! Even if I take it today, what can you do to me? Not to mention that the third brother is now useless and good for nothing. And this little brat, she hasn't gone a day without taking medicine since she was born."

If it weren't for her, would my third son have bothered going hunting in the mountains in the dead of winter? Is his leg only good enough to get a hole in it? Is it just ruined like that?

She's a nemesis! How many mouthfuls of this food will actually reach their mouths? In the end, it all goes to that brat. If that's the case, it'd be better to give it to my children.”

Tang Yue frowned as she heard a man's nonchalant voice, her eyes filled with hostility as she looked at Tang Shengli. What he said was similar to what she remembered; the original owner's parents and brother truly doted on her like the apple of their eye.

But she didn't have time to think about it; her father was the most important thing right now. Judging from the situation, he was in great danger.

"Mom, let's carry Dad inside first."

A soft, slightly hoarse voice broke the tense atmosphere. Lin Cuicui quickly did as she was told, and several villagers came in and together carried Tang Shengkai back to the kang (heated brick bed) in the east room.

Seeing everyone surrounding the third brother, Tang Shengli picked up his cloth bag and started to walk out. The captain took a step forward and blocked his way.

Tang Shengli didn't take it seriously at all. He reached out and shoved the captain, who almost fell over because he didn't expect him to dare to attack him. After regaining his balance, he glared angrily at Tang Shengli.

"you..."

The team leader was so angry that his chest heaved and his back bent low. The two scoundrels from the Tang family were notorious throughout Qiligou, and now that they weren't working, he really couldn't do anything about it.

The captain was somewhat helpless; he really couldn't stop them. Just as he was about to move away, an angry roar came from beside him.

Turning around, I saw that Lin Cuicui had gone to the kitchen at some point, and now she was holding a cleaver and slashing straight at Tang Shengli. "Tang Shengli, I'm going to fight you to the death today."
