Chapter 60 These clothes will soon be unwearable.

The young police officer is in pain all over; this spy is really good at fighting. However, he still has some conscience; he didn't fire on the train, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Without the little girl's help, they really wouldn't know if victory would ultimately be theirs. At this crucial moment, they couldn't afford to let anything happen to her.

"Yueyue, wait a moment, someone has already gone to find your parents."

Tang Yue sighed and didn't move. She had to accept the police's kindness.

Standing there, Tang Yue felt a burning gaze directed at her. Looking up, she saw Gu Yanxi staring intently at her. Tang Yue returned his gaze without flinching. Finally, the man gave her a slight smile before turning away.

Tang Yue tilted her head. What was wrong with this person? Shouldn't a normal person hate her? But there wasn't a trace of resentment in his eyes. Sigh, the world is truly a strange place; there are all sorts of people.

A moment later, Tang Shengkai and Lin Cuicui squeezed through the crowd and breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Tang Yue standing there unharmed.

The two police officers thanked the two men and verified the address with them before allowing Tang Shengkai to take Tang Yue away.

Before leaving, the two police officers kept thanking Tang Yue. Tang Yue was carried away by Tang Shengkai. She looked at Gu Yanxi, but he seemed indifferent and showed no reaction.

It's unclear how the police handled the matter afterward, but after Tang Yue returned to her carriage, she was closely watched by Tang Shengkai and Lin Cuicui.

They were terrified. This child had absolutely no sense of danger; she would run towards any dangerous place. They were now determined not to let her go out again.

Tang Yue spent the next two days reading. When she got really bored, she would cultivate for a while. She discovered her weakness: without a weapon, some things were really troublesome to do.

Her consciousness could extend far, but she could only observe the situation and couldn't act directly when danger was detected. If only she had a weapon that could move freely according to her will.

Tang Yue kept thinking about one question: what kind of weapon could she carry with her anytime, anywhere, and move according to her will? She used to have a storage bag and a storage bracelet, but now she had nothing.

She had to find a way to get a weapon that she could carry with her.

They had been traveling constantly, staying only once in a simple guesthouse. They had been wearing the same clothes for several days, had no facilities for bathing, and were constantly crammed into crowds. They even felt that they smelled strongly of themselves.

Tang Yue has been quiet these past two days, so Lin Cuicui can finally settle down and sew. Old Li was also bored, so he decided to work with Lin Cuicui.

When Old Li picked up the needle and thread, everyone was stunned.

Old Li glared at them, annoyed. "Why are you all staring at me like that? I'm all alone. I sew my own clothes when they're torn. What's so strange about that?"

Although he put it simply, Tang Shengkai and Lin Cuicui still felt inexplicably sad.

Lin Cuicui snatched the needle and thread from Old Li's hands, "Dad, you don't need to do needlework anymore, I'll take care of things at home."

Old Li was pleased, but he still wanted to try a little harder.

Lin Cuicui saw through his thoughts, "Dad, really, it's not necessary. Your and Third Brother's clothes can't be altered much, and mine will just be cut off a piece of the same size."

It's just a few children's needs that need sewing.

I'll sew up the clothes I'm wearing first; we can't all get off the bus looking disheveled. We can finish the rest when we get there.

A woman sitting across from Lin Cuicui nodded in agreement after hearing her words.

"Oh, uncle, your wife is so thoughtful. Where are you going? If you're going to the border town, this coat will be enough for the winter. You won't need any thick clothes at all."

The group all looked towards the woman. "Sister-in-law, are you telling the truth? It's warm over there?"

"Hey, you're right. I've been there for three years. Even in the coldest weather, I couldn't fit into all the clothes you're wearing."

Lin Cuicui was a little dumbfounded, "Really, sister-in-law?"

"Yes, you're from the north, right? The border town is the southernmost part of our country, and it's warm all year round. You might not even wear this coat once every year or two. If you're just going to wear it when you get off the train, you might as well sew something thinner."

Lin Cuicui was holding a half-sewn garment in her hand; putting it down was inappropriate, but continuing to sew was also uncomfortable.

Tang Yue hadn't expected this difference. They used to wear robes, which made little difference to them regardless of the environment; she hadn't anticipated this place.

Throughout the rest of the journey, her parents and grandfather chatted with the woman about many things in the border town. However, the woman never revealed her identity.

The train traveled slowly, and it took them nearly four days to travel from the capital to the border town. After saying goodbye to the woman, they got off the train with their belongings.

A wave of heat hit them in the face. Stepping off the train, they immediately realized they were wearing far too much. With no other option, they took off their outermost coats.

The streets, buildings, and everything in sight here were worlds apart from those in the capital. However, they were still not used to those big cities; they seemed quite at ease in this place.

"Third Brother, where should we look for the troops?"

Tang Shengkai carried a basket on his back. He wanted to hold Tang Yue, but Tang Yue refused. After traveling for several days, her father was very tired, and it was also too hot here; they really smelled bad.
