Chapter 408 Chang Yin Goes to the Battlefield

408

Ivanov rubbed his temples; tonight had been quite a shock for him. Seeing that his secretary showed no sign of leaving, he asked, "Is there anything else?"

Secretary: "Sir, actually, we can import not only timber from China, but also many other things. If we do that, we can save at least half of the rubles."

Ivanov couldn't help but ponder. He was about to ask his secretary to specify what was being imported when he watched helplessly as the items in the study mysteriously disappeared.

This was exactly the effect Tang Yue wanted. Heh, if they want to take advantage of China, they'll have to ask her first, won't they? The secretary, seeing the terror in her boss's eyes, hadn't even uttered a word when the antique display shelf behind her, along with all the antiques that were her boss's favorites, vanished completely.

"This?" The secretary jumped to her feet. Ivanov also regained his composure and immediately prepared to dial the number, but the handset, already in his hand, suddenly vanished.

Ivanov immediately ordered, "Quickly, activate S-level security measures. Use bombs if necessary. These thieves must not be let escape today!"

Dongfang Yi's voice trembled as she translated, "Tang Yue, let's hurry up and leave. If they randomly drop bombs, we won't be able to escape."

Tang Yue ignored Ivanov's hysteria, but what frustrated her was that the house couldn't be stored in her spatial dimension. This dashed her hopes of saving some effort.

Ivanov and his secretary rushed out of the study, shouting as they entered the room.

"Get up, everyone! Thieves are here! Quick! Protect all our property! We can't let them succeed!"

Tang Yue told Dongfang Yi to go outside and wait for her. She could handle packing the things on her own; having Dongfang Yi around would just be a hindrance.

By the time Ivanov spoke, the three-story building had been cleared out. Tang Yue then went to other buildings. No wonder they're wealthy.

Tang Yue was dazzled by the sights.

Half an hour later, Tang Yue looked with satisfaction at the two dejected faces of Ivanov and his secretary, and left amidst the screams, panic, and cries of the entire manor.

Dongfang Yi quietly followed beside Tang Yue. He needed to calm down; in fact, it would be best if he could have a quiet space to be alone right now. Tang Yue seemed to notice Dongfang Yi's unusual behavior.

After thinking for a moment, and since they also had things to do, the two of them used their teleportation abilities to arrive at the building downstairs of Dongfang Yi's house. "You should go back and rest first, and pack your things. Hmm, I'll probably take you away tonight."

This is a good opportunity for my uncle to ask around among other families; if anyone wants to leave, we can all go together.

After speaking, Tang Yue turned and left. As for foreign exchange, she figured she'd just go to the bank and get some. It was already morning, so Tang Yue treated herself to breakfast first, after which the entire city of Moscow descended into chaos.

After finishing her work, Tang Yue remembered something: she hadn't contacted the battalion commander yet. She wanted to do business with China, and she'd be in deep trouble if she didn't get a commission from them.

She found an empty hotel room, but it was completely enclosed. Moreover, she had a vague feeling that the space was about to overflow. Tang Yue pouted; she hadn't seen any limits before, so why were there restrictions now? How worrying!

After taking out the items from one of the rooms in the spatial dimension, Tang Yue sat on the bed. She took out the machine Chang Yin had given her, and it kept beeping incessantly.

Tang Yue...

Where are you?

"Are you still in Yiwa Brigade?"

"Tell me the exact location!"

"Do you have those four tanks?"

......

"You went to Russia!"

"Reply immediately upon receipt!"

"I have a mission. Contact Commander Kang if anything happens! I've already handed the machine over to the commander."

Tang Yue frowned. Mission? What mission? Tang Yue shook her head, deciding not to think about it anymore. Anyway, he was the battalion commander, and it was none of her business.

In the humid tropical rainforest, he often crouched low, moving through piles of decaying leaves up to his knees. The southern battlefield of the border region was in the rainy season; dense raindrops pounded on the camouflage netting, leaking down the bamboo-woven roof of the air-raid shelter and condensing into droplets on his uniform.

Chang Yin was leading his reconnaissance platoon on an infiltration mission. His Type 56 assault rifle was soaked with rainwater, and moss-like watermarks clung to its barrel.

"Battalion Commander, we've discovered the entrance to a tunnel belonging to the Vietnamese army!" the communications officer, Xiao Liu, suddenly whispered.

Chang Yin looked in the direction he pointed, and thirty meters away, a wooden ladder partially hidden by vines was visible under banana leaves. This was the seventh tunnel discovered in three days. The tunnel tactics taught to the Bianyue army by the US military advisory group were proving to be incredibly effective along the Huzhiyue Trail.

Chang Yin pulled out the Luoyang shovel from his waist; this weapon, originally a tool for tomb raiding, had now become a battlefield artifact.

The moment the shovel plunged into the ground, he keenly caught a muffled sound coming from underground—the Bianyue army was shifting its forces. "Prepare for demolition!" he decisively ordered, and the soldiers quickly pushed the explosive charge into the tunnel ventilation shaft.

Just then, the distinctive roar of a UH-11 helicopter from the United States came from afar. Chang Yin tackled Xiao Liu to the ground, and rockets fired by the helicopter exploded in the rainforest, raining mud down on the two of them.

After the aftershocks of the explosion subsided, Chang Yin noticed that the vines at the tunnel entrance were shaking violently, and more than twenty American soldiers were pouring out of the blasted opening. They were equipped with American MM16 rifles and MM79 grenade launchers.

"Fire!" Chang Yin raised his submachine gun and opened fire, the muzzle flashes leaving bright trails in the rain.

The well-trained American soldiers dispersed and concealed themselves, the MM16 gunfire creating crossfire in the rainforest. Chang Yin noticed that two enemy soldiers were carrying MM20 rocket launchers, a weapon capable of penetrating 200mm of armor, posing a significant threat to their own tunnels.
