Tang Bei and Old Li were terrified when they heard this, and quickly went forward to ask.
"Yueyue, what should we do? Maybe we should take them to the hospital right away."
Tang Bei asked anxiously, "Sister, can you help me?"
Tang Dong and Tang Nan's faces were pale; they hadn't expected to be beaten so badly. They had only had stomach aches, and they thought it was the same as fighting with the kids in the village before.
This time, however, the beating was a little more severe. I never expected it to be this serious.
Tang Nan's little face scrunched up. "Little sister, does that mean we won't be able to eat delicious food anymore?"
Tang Yue looked at him, then at Tang Dong. "Second brother, third brother, they beat you up so badly, aren't you going to sue them?"
Tang Dong and Tang Nan exchanged a glance, and finally Tang Dong shook his head firmly, "Sister, even if we go to the police station to report them now, we'll still be in serious trouble."
Instead of that, let them do more work for us.
Tang Yue's lips twitched slightly, but she said nothing and went back to her and Lin Cuicui's room.
Tang Dong didn't know what his sister meant, but now he was in pain whenever he moved, so Tang Bei wouldn't let them move.
Old Li and Tang Bei came over with Tang Yue again. The anxiety on their faces was genuine; they seemed to have been frightened by Tang Nan and Tang Dong's injuries.
Tang Yue had just considered treating them as well. However, their injuries were severe, and she estimated that she would need to rest for two days after treating just one person. Rather than that, she decided to first examine Lin Cuicui's condition, as she felt that her mother's mental state was quite abnormal.
If it truly reaches the point of madness, then it's incredibly difficult to cure. After all, spiritual power isn't omnipotent.
Old Li and Tang Bei watched as Tang Yue took Lin Cuicui's pulse, her fingertips circulating spiritual energy as it traveled through Lin Cuicui's body.
When the spiritual energy reached Lin Cuicui's stomach, Tang Yue paused for a moment, uncertainly wandering over Lin Cuicui's lower abdomen again, before the corners of Tang Yue's mouth turned up in a smile.
Tang Bei watched with concern as Tang Yue examined his mother's body. Strangely, his mother was exhausted, so why was his younger sister smiling?
Tang Yue continued to examine Lin Cuicui's mind, finding no signs of attack. Tang Yue then traced the flow of spiritual energy along the blood vessels in Lin Cuicui's brain, though she didn't understand the brain's nervous system.
She sensed a faint blockage in her mother's head. Tang Yue closed her eyes and used her spiritual power to help clear the obstructed area in her mother's brain. The area was quite large.
Tang Yue spent a lot of time sorting things out, and only stopped when she no longer felt there were any obstacles.
Tang Yue opened her eyes. "Little sister, how is Mom?"
Tang Yue smiled at her older brother, "Big brother, Mom is alright, she's fine. And..."
Tang Bei was relieved to hear that Lin Cuicui was alright, but seeing that Tang Yue hadn't finished speaking, he continued to ask, "Anything else?"
Tang Yue got off her mother's bed. "Come on, let's talk in that room."
Tang Yue brought Old Li and Tang Bei over. Old Li was also anxious, wondering why the child was only saying half of what he meant.
"Yueyue, tell me quickly, what exactly happened?"
Tang Dong and Tang Nan were already asleep, but their brows were still furrowed.
"Mommy has a baby in her tummy."
"What?"
"ah?"
At first they were taken aback, then their faces were filled with joy.
Tang Bei was very happy. Although he already had two younger brothers and a younger sister, he was still happy that his mother was pregnant again.
"I need to hurry up and make something nice for Mom."
As he was speaking, he tried to run outside, but Old Li grabbed him, saying, "What can a little kid like you do? Let Grandpa go."
At this moment, Tang Yue also remembered the two rabbits she had caught on the mountain. "Big brother, the rabbits. I threw the two rabbits into the woodpile. You go up the mountain... no, I'll go get them."
She was worried that it wouldn't be safe for her older brother to go out alone.
Tang Bei laughed, and Old Li tapped Tang Yue's little head, "You don't need to go. I'll go with your older brother. Yueyue, stay home and look after them."
After saying that, the two left.
Tang Yue looked at her two older brothers lying on the bed, their brows furrowed, and sighed inwardly. She took Tang Dong's hand and began to use her spiritual power to help repair the damage to his internal organs.
After repairing only a quarter of the work, Tang Yue switched to Tang Nan. Similarly, after repairing a quarter of Tang Nan's work, Tang Yue stopped.
She couldn't fall asleep, not knowing what would happen later.
Seeing that the two people's complexions had improved and their brows were no longer so furrowed, Tang Yue sat quietly on the bed in a daze.
Old Li and Tang Bei were quick; they carried back a load of firewood in no time.
The villagers generally assume that any pile of firewood belonging to someone else is owned, and unless someone is a particularly annoying family, no one will take another's firewood.
The two men retrieved the two rabbits by trapping them inside the firewood.
Tang Bei carried a rabbit into the house like a treasure, saying, "Little sister, look, the rabbit is so fat."
Tang Yue smiled. The South Island is like spring all year round, and there is no shortage of wild game in the mountains.
Old Li skinned and washed the two rabbits, then chopped some of them and put them in a pot to cook porridge.
Tang Yue thought the porridge probably wouldn't taste very good. Old Li pinched Tang Yue's cheek and said, "Almost no one in the village has meat, and we haven't gone to buy any. If the smell of meat comes out of the house later, won't people be suspicious?"
It's all meat anyway, so it doesn't matter how you eat it.
Tang Yue was convinced by Old Li's logic.
After Tang Yue used her spiritual power to clear Lin Cuicui's mind, she felt the stuffiness that had been weighing on her head for days disappear. Her body felt even lighter. She woke up after sleeping for less than two hours and got out of bed.
