Chapter 4 The Showdown Between Blue and White

Ah, oh my!

The commander walked into the training room and stood outside the basketball court.

"Hey! Training alone is no fun, why don't you train with me?"

Aomine Daiki stopped and looked at Souji.

"Sure! I hope you have some skill, so you won't be outdone before I even get serious."

"Oh, really? You'll easily lose if you underestimate me. Don't let me crush you." Souji said with a relaxed and carefree expression.

"Then let's get straight to the point without further ado." With that, Aomine Daiki tossed the ball to Souji.

"Let's play ten balls. Whoever scores ten first wins."

Souji arrived at the halfway point and confronted Aomine Daiki.

"Let me take this first ball!" After saying that, Souji quickly broke through towards Aomine Daiki.

But Souji was facing a genius who had pushed agility to its extreme.

Soon, Aomine Daiki caught up with Souji.

Souji was secretly shocked. The speed at this stage was already this fast!

They truly deserve to be called the ace of the Age of Miracles.

"Then let's try this move!" Souji thought to himself as he looked at Aomine Daiki, who had blocked his defense.

Otosaka Souji used the power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit to stimulate his legs.

An electric arc flashed across his calf.

"Bang!" A loud thud came from under Souji's feet, and then he disappeared in front of Aomine Daiki, breaking through the defense and appearing behind him.

"What is this?" Aomine Daiki was stunned. He couldn't imagine how Souji could have broken out so quickly.

Although he didn't quite understand, Aomine Daiki still got excited.

This is the excitement a predator feels when it encounters its prey.

But it's hard to say who the hunter and who the prey are.

“I’m getting excited. You’re a worthy opponent, someone who deserves my full effort.”

Holding the ball, Aomine Daiki bypassed Souji like a cheetah, raised the ball high with both hands, and leaped into the air, accurately shooting the ball into the basket.

Otosaka Souji narrowed his eyes as he received the ball, carefully examining Aomine Daiki in front of him.

The image of the unparalleled Aomine Daiki in his mind slowly merged with the person in front of him emanating a terrifying blue aura, causing Otosaka Souji's blood and soul to begin to burn.

Start with a three-threat move, a probing step, and then a feint to change direction in front of the body.

These moves are useless; Aomine Daiki has already mastered the basic moves.

Unless Otosaka Souji can outspeed him, these moves pose no threat to Aomine Daiki.

The Souji Association has more than just ordinary moves; it also possesses extraordinary skills like the Six Styles of the Navy.

Seeing Aomine Daiki clinging to him relentlessly, Souji knew he couldn't keep going like this.

"Paper drawing".

Otosaka Souji used one of the six techniques he had learned over the course of a year.

As for why the other six techniques weren't used, it's because "Shave" is too destructive; it would be bad if it broke through the floor.

The ability of "Moonwalk" to stop in mid-air is too overpowered. Once used, it's like a game-changer, and there's no fun in the competition anymore.

With the use of "paper drawing", Souji's body suddenly became lighter.

Aomine Daiki tried to intercept the ball several times, but found that he couldn't touch Otosaka Souji at all. His expression became more and more serious, and his eyes became more and more focused.

After the paper drawing, Otosaka Souji used Observation Haki. The combination of the paper drawing and Observation Haki was like a flawed version of Ultra Instinct.

Whenever Aomine Daiki tries to touch Otosaka Souji, Souji anticipates it and dodges.

Souji, like an eel, kept drifting around Aomine Daiki.

Having dodged Aomine Daiki's attack, Souji executed a crossover dribble followed by a reverse layup.

With a "whoosh," the commander scored another point.

With the exchange of offense and defense, the blue and silver jerseys constantly battled and maneuvered on the court.

Gradually, a blue light appeared in Aomine Daiki's eyes.

Originally, Otosaka Souji had the advantage, but now the two sides are evenly matched.

Souji broke through Aomine Daiki's defense once again, but Aomine Daiki caught up with him from behind when Souji went for a layup.

"Don't even think about it!"

Aomine Daiki leaped and pinned the ball against the backboard from behind Otosaka Souji.

With complete focus and having activated his zone, Aomine Daiki, even if unable to break through Otosaka Souji's Navy Six Styles, could still intercept Souji's layups and shots in mid-air.

With terrifying acceleration, he launched a feint, attempting to dodge Otosaka Souji, but Souji, activating Observation Haki, was no pushover.

They blocked Aomine Daiki's attack with Death Coil.

Aomine Daiki's calf suddenly burst with energy, veins bulging, breaking through Otosaka Souji who hadn't even reacted yet.

A one-handed windmill dunk, stylish and powerful.

The hoop wobbled, and it wasn't just the hoop that wobbled; it also shook the heart and passion of the commander beside him.

Aomine Daiki landed easily on the ground and turned to Otosaka Souji, who was somewhat shocked.

"In this state, I am invincible! The only one who can defeat me is myself."

"No one is invincible; it's just that you're stronger right now."

As they were talking, Aomine Daiki tossed the ball to Souji, the meaning of which was clear: it's your turn.

Souji took the basketball, dribbled it, and said to Aomine Daiki.

"I can't beat you now that you've activated the Zone, but you're running out of stamina too, aren't you?"

“I’ve looked into Zone. While it can enhance a player’s all-around attributes, it has a fatal flaw: it causes a player’s stamina to deplete exponentially.”

"Tch, that's enough to deal with you!"

At his peak, Aomine Daiki was finally invincible in the Generation of Miracles.

However, he was still somewhat inferior to Otosaka Souji, who had been training for two and a half years.

It's not just a difference in physical strength, but also a difference in physical fitness.

While skill is important in basketball, physical strength and physique are even more crucial.

Zone is very physically demanding, especially in such a high-intensity battle; Aomine Daiki's calves were already trembling slightly.

The last goal.

Otosaka Souji used his superior physique to start from the free-throw line, jumped three meters high, and slammed the basketball into the hoop.
