But how do we sell these magic iron ore and medicinal herbs?
Perhaps we can sell the magic iron ore to the blacksmith and the medicinal herbs to the pharmacy.
Speaking of blacksmith shops, Otosaka Souji thought of Kaijin's blacksmith shop.
Kaijin is the master blacksmith of Dowgon, and every weapon and armor he forges is a masterpiece.
Dwarves are a race that excels at creation and forging, making them natural-born weapon-making masters.
A master blacksmith who is famous among dwarves must have mastered the art.
A master blacksmith like Kajin would definitely need high-quality magic iron ore.
The magic iron ore that Otosaka Souji brought out from the sealed cave was all of perfect quality, and I believe it can fetch a good price.
Judging from the original work, Kajin is a good person; he wouldn't try to lower the price or steal all the magic iron ore.
It was precisely because he understood Kaijin's character that Otosaka Souji dared to go to him without worry.
Otherwise, if you sell it to just anyone, you might run into a dishonest merchant and end up with a low price, which would be the best outcome.
The worst thing is that after you finish the transaction and leave, someone will follow you and prepare to ambush you, leaving you with nothing and taking everything away. In more serious cases, they might even kill you and dispose of the body.
Although the armed kingdom of Dovagon has good public security, there are also many bad people.
It's impossible for dwarf soldiers to monitor things 24/7.
There's no such advanced technology as surveillance equipment in the other world.
Because of its extreme inclusivity, Dowagong is a more diverse and mixed place.
Otosaka Souji was certain that if he exposed the magic iron ore on the street, a large number of people would be thinking of killing and robbing him.
There will never be a shortage of those people who seem easy to get along with and always smiling on the surface, but are ruthless killers who don't blink an eye when they're actually killing people.
Although Otosaka Souji was still confident in his abilities, he figured it was better to avoid trouble.
Otosaka Souji didn't want to be harassed like crazy either.
Therefore, in the end, Otosaka Souji believed that it was safest to find characters who appeared in the original work to trade with.
Even if it's impossible to know everything about him, based on his actions in the original work, his character is still reliable, so Otosaka Souji himself won't suffer much of a loss.
Next, Otosaka Souji began searching for Kaijin's blacksmith shop.
After making some inquiries, Otosaka Souji found out the location of the forging shop.
After winding through the streets, we finally arrived at a blacksmith shop.
A sign reading "Kaijin Forge" hung above the forge.
That's so simple and clear!
Upon seeing this sign, Otosaka Souji was certain that he had found the right purpose.
"Jingle bells—"
Otosaka Souji could already hear the clanging of iron inside the forge from the doorway.
"Knock knock knock—"
Otosaka Souji stepped forward and knocked on the door of the blacksmith shop.
After knocking, Otosaka Souji waited for someone to open the door.
But after a while, no one has come to open the door.
The sound of hammering continued to echo inside the forging shop.
It seemed that no one heard Otosaka Souji's knocking.
So Otosaka Souji knocked on the door again, this time with much more force.
"Thump—thump thump—"
The door still showed no sign of opening.
This made Otosaka Souji's forehead crease with annoyance.
While speechless, Otosaka Souji knocked on the iron shop door again with even greater force.
"Thump—thump—thump—"
The sound of hammering continued inside the forge.
Three strikes and you're done; Otosaka Souji stopped waiting for others to open the door for him.
The commander pushed his hand forward, and with a click, the wooden door opened easily.
Immediately afterwards, Otosaka Souji saw a dwarf carrying a forging hammer directly in front of him.
He was forging a long sword by the furnace.
He was wearing a red pointed hat and was shirtless.
He was wearing goggles above his nose, and his body was incredibly muscular, all tendons and muscles.
He was so engrossed in his forging that nothing seemed to affect him.
Perhaps that's why he became a master blacksmith among the dwarves.
If I had possessed that kind of concentration in my past life, getting into Tsinghua University or Peking University would have been a piece of cake.
Otosaka Souji was secretly amazed.
"Truly worthy of being called a master forger."
He didn't say it aloud, but thought it to himself.
The commander did not intend to interrupt Kaijin, but watched silently from the side.
It's just a simple forging motion, but in Kaijin's hands it seems to be full of beauty.
The flowing lines are pleasing to the eye.
This is perhaps the realm of a master, full of unique beauty.
Forging blacksmiths is tedious, but watching others forge blacksmiths is even more tedious.
Although Kaijin's blacksmithing was aesthetically pleasing, Otosaka Souji intended to keep watching.
While there was still time, I decided to take a look at Kaijin's forging shop.
Otosaka Souji looked around; the walls were covered with weapons and armor.
These weapons are mostly longswords and shields; there are no spears in sight. Perhaps the people from this other world are not skilled at using spears.
Although the weapon shop wasn't very big, it was more than enough for Kaijin to forge weapons all by himself.
There is another door behind the forging table.
Behind Otosaka Soujimon should be a warehouse used to store forged weapons and armor, as well as some raw materials for forging.
And so, time passed by, second by second.
Kaijin is now ready to finish forging.
With the final step of forging—sharpening—Kaijin had finally forged a brand-new longsword.
The longsword reflected a silvery-white light.
