Chapter 10 The Fox Spirit's Lame Act

While the two little ones were eating, Li Lianhua got up to prepare a place for the chicks and hen she had bought. She went upstairs to get a few unused boards and brought them down, placing them on top of the empty space under the stairs leading to the second floor.

After creating a small space and surrounding it with a ring of hammering and banging, Li Lianhua wiped the sweat from her forehead with a handkerchief before lifting the large box with both hands and placing it in the small space, then spreading the dry grass on top.

Then they continued hammering and banging, sealing off the top as well, leaving only a small opening through which one could see inside but wouldn't let the hen fly out.

By the time Li Lianhua had finished tidying up, the fox spirit had already devoured the roast chicken and returned to her den to rest. Li Lianxin, however, was sitting there waiting for him to return.

Look at how the fox spirit treated him, and then look at how Li Lianxin did it. This dog that has been with him for several years is not as good as the little fox. Although there is an element of the fox spirit in this, who wouldn't be a little touched after seeing this?

After a long and tiring day, it was time to rest at night. Li Lianhua was in the room calculating the money he had earned from buying medicinal herbs that day, while Li Lianxin lay on the bed watching him count the money one by one.

There were a few silver notes, but most of them were just loose change. Li Lianhua had deliberately switched them; when traveling the martial world, one shouldn't flaunt wealth. Those who immediately pull out large wads of silver notes aren't wealthy young masters.

It's about suddenly becoming rich and showing off. If you're capable, you'll be targeted, but if you're not, you'll just lose your money.

He understood this simple truth.

Today, he only brought a relatively young Ganoderma lucidum and other medicinal herbs, which sold for only 700 taels of silver. After deducting what he bought, there was still plenty left, enough for them to live on for a long time.

After placing the silver notes in the hidden compartment under the bed, Li Lianhua turned off the light and prepared to sleep. However, as soon as she closed her eyes, she heard rustling sounds outside the door. Just as she was wondering if someone had sneaked in, she heard Li Lianxin say to herself.

[It must be a vixen! Don't think I didn't hear you, you're actually talking about me in your heart!] The vixen was complaining in the doghouse, her voice was very soft, she had no idea that Li Lianxin had heard everything.

It's just that they feel it's unfair. They're both animals, but one can only sleep in a doghouse while the other can sleep in a bed with Li Lianhua. They feel that Li Lianhua is treating them differently, and Li Lianxin also got a beating because of it.

She even said she'd sneak in tonight, but nothing happened. She thought the vixen had changed her mind, but it turns out she was just waiting for Li Lianhua to turn off the lights. She even waited a while, hoping Li Lianhua would fall asleep, but unfortunately, Li Lianhua wasn't asleep at all. She was just waiting to see the scene where you and Li Lianhua would stare at each other.

That's exactly what the fox spirit was thinking. She couldn't understand it. She was just furious that the fox only came to her house for one day. It was one thing that the name was nice, but she could even sleep in the same bed with him. The worst part was that she was on the floor when they ate!

This blatant favoritism is way too obvious! And yet, it was so kind to the fox because of its name! It even likes sleeping in the bed! The fox spirit was afraid that Li Lianhua was awake when she went, so she waited a little while.

She listened intently to the sounds inside the room, and only began to act after confirming there was no noise. The fox spirit used her head to push the door open and cautiously tiptoed into the room.

As she walked to the bedside and lifted her foot to jump onto it, she noticed a pair of green eyes staring at her from the bed. Then the room lights up. With Li Lianhua staring at it and making such an obvious move, what else could she not understand?

That vixen actually wanted to sleep with him!

Being caught red-handed is a really unpleasant feeling. It was the first time Li Lianxin had ever seen the embarrassment of being caught red-handed and the dog's attempts to hide its actions on its face.

Li Lianhua, of course, did not believe the fox spirit was pretending to be lame, and shouted through gritted teeth, "Fox spirit!"

"Hahahaha! Hahahaha!" The man and the dog were immediately drawn to the infectious laughter.
