I overslept, I'm trying to fix it!
Deep within the frigid forest, night fell, and sparse starlight dotted the inky sky. Lightfeather and Floating Moon traversed the dense foliage, searching for a suitable spot to set up camp. Their footsteps left deep tracks in the snow, and the howls of wolves carried on the night wind only amplified the forest's mystery and danger.
Guangling, a Soul Master who appears to be a child, possesses extraordinary strength and wisdom. His eyes gleam with curiosity and adventure in the night, filled with a desire to explore this unknown forest. Meanwhile, Fuyue, a Soul Master with the bloodline of the White Tiger, is seeking an opportunity to enhance her strength.
"It's getting late, we need to find a place to stay," Guangling said, his voice carrying a hint of youthfulness, but also revealing a sense of determination.
Fu Yue nodded. She knew that in this extremely cold environment, the arrival of night meant an even harsher test. "You're right, we need to make a fire for warmth and take precautions."
Guangling swiftly retrieved a thick overcoat from his spatial pouch, his movements light and practiced, like that of a seasoned adventurer. He draped the overcoat over Fuyue, then took out some dry rations and other necessities.
"Wrap this up tighter," Guangling said, a hint of concern in his eyes. "You won't be cold once we find a place to stay and make a fire."
Fu Yue felt a warm current surge through her heart. She wrapped her coat tightly around herself, feeling Guang Ling's thoughtfulness and warmth. "Thank you, Guang Ling."
The two continued their journey, the frigid forest appearing even more mysterious and dangerous in the darkness. A howling wind whipped up wisps of snow and mist, blurring their vision. But Guangling and Fuyue did not retreat; relying on their courage and wisdom, they ventured deeper into the forest.
In a relatively open area, they decided to stop. Guangling skillfully started a fire, the flames illuminating the surrounding snow and dispelling the chill. Fuyue, meanwhile, set up some simple defensive measures to guard against possible nighttime attacks from soul beasts.
The two sat together by the fire, sharing their rations and discussing what they had seen and heard during the day. Guangling's eyes gleamed with excitement; he was filled with anticipation and curiosity for this adventure.
"Sister Fuyue, what kind of opportunity do you think we can find this time?" Guangling asked curiously.
Fu Yue smiled slightly, a profound look in her eyes. "Many unknown secrets are hidden in the Frigid Forest. Perhaps we can find some rare soul beasts, or discover some ancient ruins."
Guangling listened with great interest, his imagination completely ignited. "If there really are ruins, there must be many treasures inside. We must explore them thoroughly."
Night deepened, the firelight flickered in the cold wind, but their hearts were filled with warmth and hope. They knew that as long as they were together, nothing was impossible.
On this cold night, Guangling and Fuyue found solace in each other. They believed that as long as they bravely faced the challenges, they would surely find their own opportunities.
Suddenly, a slight noise broke the stillness of the night. Several small soul beasts, attracted by the firelight, tried to approach the camp. Guangling and Fuyue quickly prepared for battle, but soon discovered that these soul beasts were not aggressive and were simply seeking warmth.
"It seems they just want to find a warm place," Fuyue said softly, her voice tinged with sympathy.
Guangling blinked, then took out some food from her spatial pouch and gently placed it in front of the soul beasts. "Come, let's share this warm night."
The spirit beasts sniffed the food warily, then slowly began to eat. Guangling and Fuyue observed quietly until they were sure the beasts posed no danger before returning to the fire.
The firelight flickered again, illuminating their faces. Guangling took out two roasting sticks and handed one to Fuyue. "Sister Fuyue, have you ever tried roasting? It's a great pleasure on a cold night."
Fu Yue took the stick, looked at Guang Ling's expectant eyes, and couldn't help but smile. "I don't have one, but I'm willing to try it tonight."
The two skewered the meat onto sticks and roasted it over the fire. As Guang Ling turned the sticks, he recounted his amusing experiences in the Spirit Hall, his words filled with childlike innocence and joy.
Fu Yue listened attentively, occasionally adding her own experiences and stories. She spoke of the hardships she endured to become a Soul Master, as well as her hopes and dreams for the future.
Just as they were engrossed in each other's stories, a strange light suddenly appeared in the forest, attracting their attention.
"What is that?" Guangling stood up and looked curiously at the light in the distance.
Fu Yue also stood up, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. "I don't know, but it looks like some kind of natural phenomenon, perhaps hiding some secret."
The two decided to go and investigate, their hearts filled with curiosity about the unknown and a thirst for adventure. Guided by the starlight, they embarked on a new journey of exploration.
As the light drew closer, they discovered it was a frozen lake, its surface shimmering with an eerie blue glow. The light seemed to originate from the lakebed, filtering through the ice and illuminating the surrounding forest.
"This light is so beautiful," Guangling exclaimed as he approached the lake and observed it closely.
Fu Yue also came to the lakeside. She reached out and touched the ice, feeling the strange energy. "This is not just light; it contains powerful soul force."
They exchanged a glance and both saw the surprise in each other's eyes. They realized that this might be the opportunity they had been searching for.
Guangling excitedly ran around the lake several times, his heart filled with excitement. "We must find out the source of this light; maybe we can find some treasure."
Fu Yue nodded, her gaze resolute. "We'll break the ice and explore first thing tomorrow morning."
As night deepened, the two returned to the campfire. They knew tomorrow would bring a new adventure, but for now, they needed rest to recharge for the challenges ahead.
The fire gradually died down, and the surrounding chill returned, but Guangling and Fuyue's hearts were filled with warmth and anticipation. They believed that as long as they bravely faced the challenges, they would surely find their own opportunity.
