Chapter 44 Short Story 12

Little Tree's Wish

On the edge of a quiet village, there grew a sapling named Milo. Although Milo was still young, it had a big dream: to become the tallest and strongest tree in the village.

Chapter 1: Milo's Dream

Milo diligently grew every day, absorbing sunlight and water. Looking at the surrounding trees, it envied their ability to reach the sky and provide shade for the village. Milo resolved to become a great tree.

However, Milo discovered that growing was not an easy task. Sometimes, the wind would bend its branches, and the rain would soak its leaves. But Milo never gave up; it believed that as long as it persevered, it would one day realize its dream.

Chapter Two: An Unexpected Challenge

One day, a group of children came to play beside Milo. They built a swing on Milo's branches using ropes and strips of cloth. Milo was happy to bring joy to the children, but it also felt the pressure, because the swing made Milo's branches bend even more.

Milo began to doubt himself, worried that he would never become a tall and strong tree. Just then, a wise old owl flew to Milo's branch and told him, "Growth is not just about going upwards, it's also about going inwards."

Chapter Three: Inner Strength

The old owl's words inspired Milo. It began to focus more on its roots, striving to grow downwards in search of deeper water and nutrients. Milo learned to remain resilient in the wind and pure in the rain.

As time passed, Milo's roots grew stronger, and its branches became more robust. Even with the swing still there, Milo was able to support the children's laughter.

Chapter Four: Realizing Dreams

Years passed, and Milo finally grew into a tall tree. It not only fulfilled its dream but also became a landmark of the village. Children played in its shade, and the elderly chatted in its shade.

Milo realized that true growth is not just about becoming taller, but also about becoming useful and strong. He was proud to be able to bring joy and comfort to the village.

End

Milo's story spread throughout the village, becoming a legend about courage, perseverance, and growth. Every child knows that no matter how far away a dream may seem, as long as we pursue it bravely and persevere, we will one day achieve it.
