"Liang Buming, the one-armed master thief, and Yue Sanqiu, the purple-robed bandit king, are the other members of the Fourteen Thieves of the Yellow Springs." Qiu Tuo looked at the people on the ground and named them one by one.
Master Wei came out and looked at Zhang Qinghu, saying, "I told you long ago that the Fourteen Thieves of the Yellow Springs have been dead in this tomb for ten years. Zhang Qinghu, I never lied to you."
Qiu Tuo noticed that the corpses showed no signs of change, looking as if they had just died recently. According to Master Wei, they had been dead for ten years. Perhaps there was something special about this tomb?
The fact that the bodies were preserved at first made them think that the seven corpses were people who had died in the First-Class Tomb and were washed out. But now it seems that this is not the case. "The bodies are not badly decomposed. It must be because this tomb is special. So the seven corpses at the foot of the mountain would be thought to be freshly dead. It seems that the Fourteen Thieves of the Yellow Springs came here ten years ago."
"If they were trapped here and died, why is half of them in the tomb and half down the mountain?" Zhang Qinghu suppressed his grief and asked. This grave was in the mountains, and it didn't seem to have any water flowing through it.
If Master Wei can't get in, then why are these corpses at the foot of the mountain?
Lord Wei naturally wouldn't tell the truth, and said directly, "How could I possibly know that? However, since Senior Fourteen Thieves brought out the news of the First-Class Tomb to let us know, we can't let them down. Everyone, come with me and open it!"
Li Lianhua stood silently to the side, appearing somewhat invisible among the crowd. This was the effect Li Lianhua wanted; being too outstanding wasn't always a good thing, especially since Lianxin's time was almost up.
From the very beginning, Master Wei never intended for them to leave this first-class tomb. This first-class tomb is extremely dangerous; even the Fourteen Thieves of the Yellow Springs perished here. How could they possibly leave alive? Master Wei's plan is quite clever.
As the people in front of them tried to grab the treasures, Master Wei immediately spoke up, "Oh dear, why rush to take these secondhand items? By the time we find the real tomb chamber, your pockets won't be full. This is the end of the tomb passage; the real entrance must be nearby. Whoever finds the entrance first gets to choose the treasures first. Those who want to make a fortune, let's see who has the best skills!"
With those words spoken, the people immediately stood up and began searching. Even Zhang Qinghu, who had just been looking mournful, forgot his grief and joined them in the search.
"Most of the mechanisms and tomb doors here are intact. How do you think the person behind this managed to throw the seven corpses out of the tomb?" Fang Duobing asked Li Lianhua, feeling that Li Lianhua knew the answer.
"The simplest way is to throw it out."
"Throw it out?" That's a simple method, but when we entered the First-Class Tomb just now, it didn't look like anyone had come in. If someone came in and carried the body down the mountain, then why are there those huge rocks behind the tomb door?
“This first-class tomb isn’t on the ground, but on the mountaintop, isn’t it? Stretch out your hand.”
Fang Duobing, following his instructions, stretched out his hand and felt a chill. Startled, he exclaimed, "There's a breeze!"
Immediately, Fang Duobing and Li Lianhua followed the wind to a gap in the rock. Looking down from there, they could see a way out. Suddenly, Fang Duobing had a flash of inspiration. "There really is a gap! Now I understand. These seven corpses were thrown down there and happened to be seen by the mountain people celebrating the moonlit wedding. They saw the seven corpses rotting and twisting in the wind under the moon and thought they were still alive."
Exactly the same
"Huh?" What do you mean exactly the same?
"Oh, I mean, the gap here is exactly the same as the door to the fake tomb chamber; it was both cleaved open by a single palm strike."
"Wow! If what you're saying is true, the mastermind behind this is incredibly powerful. He came here but couldn't find the real tomb, so he threw the body down and then broke the tomb door, all to lure others to help him find the real tomb." If what Li Lianhua said is accurate...
To be able to split these things apart with bare hands, this person's skill was probably beyond their reach. If they hadn't come here and couldn't find the real tomb, perhaps none of what happened afterward would have occurred. The person below, suffering from multiple illnesses, became even more curious about who was behind this.
"Hmm, your analysis is correct. It's not as he thought, but rather that we've arrived."
On the other side
Lord Wei roared at Ge Pan, who was blocking his way, "Ge Pan, what do you want to do!"
"Have you all forgotten that you were poisoned and forced into this situation? This man surnamed Wei has already poisoned you. After the deed is done, how can he possibly find an antidote? The safest course of action is to kill you all and seize the treasure for himself. I don't want to be your enemy; I only want to live. Let's capture him and torture him to extract a confession."
Are you still worried that he won't hand over the antidote? Wouldn't it be better if we could all divide the treasures of this first-class tomb equally?" Ge Pan's words stirred the thoughts of the others present.
Just as he said, this person poisoned them, and there's no guarantee they won't kill them all later because they want to keep the treasure for themselves.
Unfortunately, before they could figure things out, the young boy arrived first. Hearing what they had just said, his eyes narrowed dangerously, and he swiftly struck Ge Pan with a palm strike. Caught off guard, Ge Pan was knocked to the ground.
The young boy stopped and looked at him coldly, saying, "So you've been waiting for so long, it turns out you've rebelled!"
"Cough cough cough! Cough cough!" Because of that palm strike, Ge Pan coughed up blood incessantly.
Seeing this, the others quickly gave up their plans. If the young boy didn't die, they wouldn't be able to turn the tide. But judging from the situation, even if they all joined forces, they probably wouldn't be able to hurt him in the slightest.
