Chapter 17 The Eve Before Dawn
"Potter, I think you don't have to rummage around like a headless fly. This pig head mask suits you very well." Draco said with his thin lips straightened, and stuffed the pig head into Harry's arms.
"Draco, what are you unhappy about? Is it because I accepted someone else's invitation to join, or because I didn't tell you in advance?" Harry raised his eyelids, looked directly into Draco's slightly red eyes, and his tone was a little hard.
"Humph, accept whoever's invitation you want, what does it have to do with me? Do you need to tell me what the Golden Boy wants to do? Am I Granger or Weasley?" Draco's voice became smaller and smaller, and the dragon doll head in his hand was almost pierced by his strength.
Harry knew what made Draco angry, as he would get angry at the slightest disagreement, but he didn't want to compromise every time.
Harry was troubled by this personality trait that would relapse when out of pressure, but he had no way to deal with his temper and could only guide him to open up to ease their relationship.
"We are friends. As one of the parties involved in this trip, you certainly have the right to have opinions on the decisions I make. Besides, Animal Royale is not fun without people." Harry's tone softened a little.
After hearing what Harry said, Draco's expression improved slightly, but he still had a stern face, but it was much more pleasing to the eye than before.
"That's a nice thing to say," Draco snorted coldly, his big gray-blue eyes widened, with a little white of his eyes showing, but he didn't clamor for Harry to turn down the invitation, nor did he turn away in anger.
"Now that we've made our choice, let's go back." Harry suppressed his laughter and took Draco's hand, heading towards the meeting point.
"Hey! Take this." Draco pulled Harry, replaced the pig's head with the dragon doll head in his hand, and exchanged it with the fox doll head on the wooden rack behind him.
Harry looked at Draco beside him and the team members who wished they could stay at least three meters away from them, and sighed secretly.
Harry's heart skipped a beat as he met the hunter's gaze as he popped up. He quickly turned around, grabbed Draco's wrist, and ran away.
"Hunter, run to the alley separately," he shouted while running wildly.
The teammates on the other side didn't bother to respond when they saw this. They scattered and ran after him.
The wind blowing against the wind blew up the ends of Harry and Draco's hair, and Harry's wrist, which was tightly held, continuously transmitted Harry's body temperature from the front to him.
Draco looked at Harry who turned and smiled at him against the light, and he couldn't tell whether his uncontrolled heartbeat was the result of the wind blowing and the blood rushing.
The two of them ran all the way, panting heavily as they ran into a dead end. Draco held onto the wall in embarrassment, sweating and panting.
"Drink some water and take a rest." Looking at Harry who was panting like a cow, Draco took out a silk handkerchief and a bottle of mineral water from his backpack. While wiping the sweat from his chin, he handed the water to Harry who took off his hood and lifted up his clothes to wipe the sweat.
Harry put down his clothes and took it. He unscrewed the bottle cap, tilted his head back and took a few gulps. Half a bottle of water was gone, and only then did he feel the blockage in his chest ease a little.
He took out his cell phone to contact his teammates who had escaped separately, asking if they were safe, and exchanging information to determine the hunter's current location.
Draco sat on the ground against the wall, lowered his head and panted, tugging at his clothes irritably.
"What's wrong? Is it too hot?" Harry saw that Draco looked depressed, and handed the water to Draco with concern.
"It's just a short distance, I won't be exhausted."
Hearing Harry's concerned words, Draco pouted in dissatisfaction and couldn't help mumbling a few words, but his hand took the wet wipes smoothly.
Halimo rubbed his numb fingers, squatted on the ground, and picked up a branch from the ground. "I'll study the map and the road exit. We'll leave later."
He took out his phone again, opened the map of Zootopia, and began to carefully study the map landmarks and exits of various alleys on the stone bricks in order to make a plan to escape the hunters.
The phone distributed by the game organizers began to beep with an alarm. Harry flipped the page on his phone and held it between him and Draco. Draco lowered his eyes and peeked at it, staring at the phone uncomfortably.
[Task 1: The Zootopia Police Station where Chief Niu is located has set up an alarm cancellation device. From now on, once any team member with an odd number on their identity card moves, the alarm device on their waist will sound.
[To deactivate the alarm, team members with multiple ID cards must find Mr. Otterton within 48 minutes and bring him to Chief Niu's station. To deactivate the alarm, Mr. Otterton's palm print must be recorded within the specified time. Otherwise, all team members with odd ID cards will be automatically eliminated.]
"Well, Draco, it looks like our break is almost over. The other teammates have already set off to search for traces at the scene where Mr. Otterton disappeared. Our mission is to search for clues at the place where Mr. Otterton was last seen."
Harry looked at the time on his watch. It was already 11:20 in the morning. That was to say, they had to find Mr. O'Thunderton before 12 o'clock and send him back to the police station safely within the remaining 8 minutes.
"Okay Draco," Harry said, then stood up, dusted himself off, and held out his hand to Draco, ready to start their new round of gaming journey.
"Ah..." Draco was stunned, he stammered, and slowly placed his hand on Harry's palm. His entire forebody stumbled as Harry pulled him, and his clenched hands slipped, his fingertips slowly sliding from Harry's palm.
"Jason" Harry waved to his teammates who were running over, motioning everyone to come over. After a brief exchange with everyone, they continued to walk towards the alley where Mr. Otterton was imprisoned.
Several team members excitedly pulled Harry over to discuss their gains today while holding their prizes. Draco, who was thinking blankly at the same pace, seemed particularly silent.
Harry didn't pay attention to this. His attention was already attracted by his teammates' humorous and funny jokes, and he was still chatting happily with them.
When the mood struck, Jason put his arm around Harry's shoulders and was about to drag Harry to the music party they organized again. Harry couldn't resist these young guys, so he had to bite the bullet and let himself be dragged into the underground bar where the music was boiling.
Amid the cheers of the crowd, Harry carefully pulled Draco along, pushed through the crowded crowd, and forcefully occupied two high bar stools.
Draco frowned, welded the neat green handkerchief tightly to his lower face, and tried hard to suppress the twitching of his facial muscles.
"Draco, what's wrong?"
Seeing the pain on Draco's face, Harry anxiously hugged him. Faced with the invitation from Jason and others who were shouting, he turned his back and waved away.
Draco pushed back Harry's wand, which was half pulled out from behind his waist, but turned his head away from him.
