"I won't call you that!"
Yukiko proudly raised her head and rejected Hanyu Kusunoki's suggestion without even thinking.
As a person of principle, she would never change her address to such a mushy term as "good younger brother" just to show off.
Looking at Yukiko's expression, which clearly showed her interest but was trying to maintain a facade, Yuuki Nan said seductively, "But I not only know who the murderer is, I also know the true identity of Uncle Yoshifusa!"
Yukiko: "!!!"
Yuzuru Nanami continued to entice her: "I also know the identity of Carlos, the bodyguard who follows Uncle Yifang~"
Yukiko was still trying to hold on, but her broken expression betrayed her.
"I even have the video of the murderer committing the crime!" Yuzuru waved his phone. "Super high-definition quality!"
A game-winning shot! Unbeatable!
Yukiko's psychological defenses crumbled instantly.
One second Yukiko was pretending not to care, the next she darted to Hanyu Nan's side, her face full of eager curiosity, "Good little brother, it was my fault, I shouldn't have called you bad little brother, I know I was wrong, please tell me what happened~"
Integrity? Dignity? What are those?
Yukiko said she had no idea and asked if it was edible.
Or can it help her stand out in front of others?
If they can't do anything, then what's the point of having them?
"Is it okay, my little brother?" Yukiko's voice became even softer, with a hint of flattery.
"Hmm, so good!"
Having achieved his goal, and seeing Yukiko's submissive demeanor, Yuusuke pulled up the video on his phone and handed it to her.
He had long since discovered that Yukiko's personality was that of a curious little cat.
I am always filled with a desire to explore the unknown.
Unfortunately, curiosity killed the cat!
Yuzuru took advantage of Yukiko's strong curiosity, dangling small dried fish at her to keep her in suspense.
Until the kitten sees him, it will instinctively lie down on the ground, exposing its soft belly, and obediently wait for its owner's petting reward.
...
"So it turns out that it was Guangmei's stepmother who initiated the attack on Uncle Yifang, and then she was killed in retaliation!"
Yukiko, completely unaware that she had been hanged, was utterly bewildered after watching the video recorded by the drone the previous night. "Uncle Yoshifusa acted in self-defense, didn't he? Why didn't he tell everyone and instead hid the body?"
“Because he is the real bodyguard,” Yuuki Nan took advantage of Yukiko watching the video to go to the warehouse, find the secret compartment, and successfully retrieve the letters between the head of the Yabuuchi family and his uncle Yoshifusa over the years. “The real uncle Yoshifusa is dead, and his son Carlos is the heir.”
"What?"
Yukiko took the letter incredulously and read it through before she understood the meaning behind Hanyu Nan's earlier words.
It turns out that the seemingly perfect Uncle Yifang was actually a fake, a bodyguard, while the black young man who looked like a bodyguard, Carlos, was actually the heir.
"It really is true, when truth is false, falsehood is truth, and when falsehood is truth, truth is falsehood!" Yukiko smiled bitterly, realizing that the answer had already been given to her.
She recalled what had happened before and finally understood the truth.
This also cleared up her doubts. Why would Uncle Yoshifusa, who was so skilled, need a bodyguard? Yukiko had initially thought that Carlos was more skilled, but surely the employer would protect the bodyguard!
Now it seems she was overthinking things.
"Am I stupid?" Yukiko suddenly lowered her head, a hint of frustration in her expression.
Looking at Yukiko's adorable expression, Yuuko Nan couldn't help but laugh: "Eh~ you just realized?" He pretended to be surprised, then gently patted his chest and comforted her: "Don't worry, with your little brother here, it's okay to be a little slow!"
"Go to hell!" Yukiko rolled her eyes, her previous unhappiness vanishing instantly, replaced by her usual cheerful self. "You're getting cocky just because I called you fat. This princess is the smartest person in the world!"
"Yes, yes, you are the best in the world!"
Yuzuru watched as Yukiko eagerly ran towards the crowd, ready to begin her deduction performance. A slight smile played on his lips as he murmured softly:
"There are rivals even in the heavens!"
...
Although the events were bizarre and complicated, everyone had to believe the truth when they saw Yukiko's confident demeanor and the thick stack of letters in her hand.
"So, in short, that's how it is. Whether you believe it or not, the evidence is right here!"
Yukiko raised her chin, looking triumphantly at the shocked crowd, and then sent the video in her hand to Inspector Megure, who had been standing to the side.
Inspector Megure was overjoyed. He had only come to help clean up the mess, but he hadn't expected to actually get some credit for his work.
He hurriedly ordered his men to prepare to take his uncle Yifang away.
At this moment, Yuzuru Nan walked over slowly, his gaze falling on his uncle Yoshifusa, and said calmly, "I think we should address you as Mr. Tanaka Nishikatsuson of the Japanese branch, shall we?"
Uncle Yifang paused, then looked at Yu Shengnan with a hint of doubt, and replied cautiously, "You're right..."
“Hmm,” Yuzuru nodded slightly, then turned to Inspector Megure, “Inspector Megure, I think Mr. Tanaka Nishikatsu’s actions could be considered self-defense, right?”
He's still interested in helping someone who, upon discovering a threatening letter, would risk their life in place of their junior.
“Yes, Mr. Hanyu.” Inspector Megure immediately realized, “Tanaka Nishikatsu was acting in self-defense. We invited him to the police station to express our condolences to him!”
