Chapter 26 Xiao Lan's Heart is in Turmoil

"Miss Yuko, may I borrow a light?"

Yuzuru raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a polite smile, and asked softly.

Yuko Ikezawa, who had just come out of the restroom, swaggered over to the sofa, sat down, crossed her legs, and looked at me with a hint of disdain.

Hearing Yuzuru's request, her gaze fell on his handsome face that always maintained a smile, and a ripple of emotion stirred in her heart, her cheeks involuntarily turning slightly red.

"Give."

Without saying a word, Yuko Ikezawa picked up a lighter that looked like the Statue of Liberty from the table next to her, quickly handed it to Nanami Hanyu, and lit it for him.

"Hehe, Miss Yuko, didn't you say you'd never been here before? Judging from how easily you went straight to the restroom, and this lighter that's barely noticeable from the outside, how did you know..."

Yuzuru chuckled softly, his eyes fixed on Yuko Ikezawa, a strange light flickering in them.

Kogoro Mouri and Juzo Megure, who were standing nearby, also came to their senses: "Yeah! How do you know so much about this place?" The two echoed in unison, their eyes also fixed on Yuko Ikezawa, full of doubt and questioning.

Faced with the sudden questioning, Yuko Ikezawa's face instantly turned flustered, and fine beads of sweat even appeared on her forehead. She hurriedly tried to explain, "Uh... well... actually, it's because a friend of mine has a lighter like this at home... so I'm more familiar with it..."

However, Yuko Ikezawa's stammering and incoherent explanation was hard to believe.

"This guy has such keen observation skills!" Conan thought to himself.

"I can't show off too much in front of Yuzuru Hanyu anymore." Conan's heart tightened, because he himself had only just begun to see the clues in this evidence.

"Inspector Megure, may I speak with Ms. Yuko for a few minutes?" Hanyu Nan said calmly.

"Okay, alright." Seeing this, Inspector Megure knew that continuing to press for answers would be pointless, and since Yuuka Nan had taken the initiative to speak with Yuuka Ikezawa, perhaps he could get some clues from her. So, Inspector Megure nodded and agreed to Yuuka Nan's request.

Yuu Nan walked up to Ikezawa Yuko and stopped.

He lowered his head slightly, gazing down at Yuko Ikezawa sitting on the sofa with a condescending look.

At this moment, Yuko Ikezawa was no longer as arrogant and domineering as she had been at the beginning; instead, her face was filled with fear and unease.

"Is there anything you want to say?" Yuko Ikezawa tried to remain calm, but her voice trembled slightly. "I already said, I've never been here before!"

Faced with Yuzuru Hanyu's unsettling smile, Yuko Ikezawa seemed somewhat at a loss. She tried her best to remain calm, but the fear in her heart surged up like a tide.

“Ms. Yuko, Ms. Yoko asked us to come today to help with an investigation. She’s been receiving silent phone calls and threatening letters lately, which is making her very scared and distressed. Since the police are here, why don’t we ask them to contact the telecommunications company to see if they can trace the source of these calls, and also check the address from which the threatening letters were sent? What do you think of this approach?” Hanyu Nan asked calmly.

Yuko Ikezawa stared wide-eyed at Nanami Hanyu in terror, stammering, "What...what are you saying? I...I don't understand at all." Her hands trembled involuntarily.

Yuzuru's lips curled into a slightly mocking smile as he slowly said, "Since these matters have nothing to do with Ms. Yuko, shouldn't we inform the media after we find out the truth? Let the public know what's going on. What do you think?"

"No! No!!"

Yuko Ikezawa screamed, her face turning deathly pale, and a fine layer of sweat appeared on her forehead.

She knew perfectly well that she was the one who did all these things.

If exposed, she would instantly go from a highly acclaimed star to a target of public criticism, facing scorn and condemnation.

"In that case, Miss Yuko, please tell me everything you know!"

After finishing speaking, Yu Shengnan stood up, turned around, and walked out.

At this moment, Yuko Ikezawa had only one thought in her mind: This man is simply a devil! He has read her mind completely, and she has no privacy at all in front of him.

Seeing Inspector Megure approaching, Yuko Ikezawa could no longer maintain her arrogance and honestly began to confess everything.

"Xiaolan, let's go outside for some fresh air. Uncle will handle the rest."

Yuzuru ignored the conversation of the people behind him and walked straight to Ran's side. After speaking, he lowered his head and looked at Ayumi, who was being held tightly by Ran.

"Ayumi, would you like to go for a walk with your big brother?"

"Yeah! Big brother was so cool just now!" Ayumi blushed and nodded excitedly, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

Yuzuru patted Ayumi's head, then together with Ran, led Ayumi towards the outside corridor.

"Wow, the wind is so strong!"

As soon as they stepped out the door, Ayumi's hair was whipped around by the strong wind, and Ran quickly pulled Ayumi into her arms.

"Nan, the view of Tokyo at night from here is so beautiful." Xiaolan leaned against the railing, gazing into the distance, captivated by the dazzling lights.

“Yes, it’s a high-rise apartment after all,” Yuzuru Nanami said softly with a smile.
