Chapter 332 Have you ever seen a syringe thicker than an arm?

Kaito wasn't stupid; he knew that opening the door might get him killed, so he refused to open it no matter what.

"Mom, let's talk through the door!"

Kuroba Chikage did not answer, but simply swung the axe in her hand.

"Snap!"

Kaito looked up shakily at the sharp axe blade that had burst through the door and was only a centimeter away from his scalp; his soul seemed to fly out of his body.

This is really meant to kill her son!

In a panic, Kaito got up and ran towards the window.

Behind him, Kuroba Chikage silently gripped his axe and began hacking away.

Only after the door was completely destroyed did she kick it open and go inside.

However, Kaito had already made his escape.

The room was empty, with only the curtains swaying back and forth in the night breeze, as if telling the story of the thrilling events that had just occurred.

"Terai!" Kuroba Chikage shouted through gritted teeth.

"Madam, what's wrong?" Terai Kinosuke asked cautiously.

"Change the locks! Change the locks on the front door! You like to run away! If you've got the guts, don't ever come back here for the rest of your life!"

...

"What's going on next door? All that banging and crashing, are they doing renovations in the middle of the night?"

Officer Nakamori, who had just finished showering and was walking out of the bathroom wearing a bathrobe and with a towel wrapped around his head, looked at his wife, who was standing by the window, with a puzzled expression and asked her a question.

"When children are naughty, their parents discipline them."

Nakamori Aoko watched the figure disappear into the night in the distance and gently shook her head.

"What mischief? Isn't that Kaito's house next door? I remember his mother came back recently, right?"

Officer Nakamori walked over to his wife while drying his wet hair.

“He’s back,” Nakamori Aoko nodded. “I guess Kaito’s gotten into trouble again.”

Officer Nakamori frowned. "That kid, he's never quiet."

"Stop worrying about other people's business and go to sleep. You have to go to work tomorrow."

Nakamori Aoko smiled, reached out and drew the curtains, then turned and walked to the bedside.

"Alright, hopefully this kid will behave himself and stop causing trouble."

As night deepened, the entire city was immersed in tranquility, broken only by the occasional sound of car horns and barking dogs.

...

the next day.

The short holiday has passed in the blink of an eye, and the new school term has begun.

After breakfast, Akemi placed the carefully prepared bento boxes into Hanyu Nanasu and Ai's schoolbags.

She's the only one in her family who doesn't have to go to school.

"Ai, we should get going."

Yuzuru led Ai, who had been feeling down since the start of the school year, out of the living room.

In the courtyard, Bobo was leading the white dove back and forth in the flower bed planted by Mingmei, making the flowers and plants in the flower bed lean all over the place.

"Bobo, be careful, or you'll get a beating!"

Yuzuru reminded me.

"Po~"

Bobo quickly flew to his side and rubbed against him affectionately for a while, then led the white dove back to the flower bed to play.

Yuzuru shook his head with amusement and pulled Ai out the door.

Throughout the journey, Ai remained silent, her small face filled with sorrow, her eyes dull and lifeless.

It's clear that going to school is a huge ordeal for her.

"Don't be sad, there are fun things to do at school too," Yuzuru Nan tried to comfort her.

Ai gave a soft hum, "No, I didn't."

"You haven't forgotten your plans for today, have you?" Yu Shengnan gestured to her backpack.

"plan?"

Ai was taken aback at first, then her eyes lit up as she remembered what she had prepared the night before.

She glanced back at her schoolbag, a wicked smile spreading across her face.

Yuzuru smiled as he watched this scene.

Someone's going to be in trouble!

Ai-chan

...

Teitan School.

Sunlight streamed into every corner of the campus, and many students were already in the classrooms, chatting or reading, creating a lively scene.

When Ai walked into the classroom, the three little ones and Conan were already there.

One of them was slumped over the table, utterly dejected, while the other three huddled together, discussing yesterday's castle adventure.

Ai wasn't interested in any of that. She walked straight to Conan's table and tapped on it.

"Um?"

Conan looked up and saw it was Ai Haibara. His expression instantly became cautious, and he unconsciously sat up straighter. "Haibara-san, is something the matter?"

"Come out with me."

Ai didn't explain much; after saying just one sentence, she turned and walked out of the classroom.

Conan hesitated for a moment. Although he knew in his heart that it was definitely not good, driven by his strong curiosity, he gritted his teeth and followed.

He just wanted to see what kind of bad thing it would be.

The three little ones standing to the side looked at their backs and exchanged glances.

Following Ai's footsteps, Conan arrived at the rooftop.

Normally, rooftops are locked, but that's no problem for Ai Haibara, who has an all-purpose backpack.

The magic backpack conjured a wire, fiddled with it in the keyhole a few times, and with a "click," the padlock opened easily.

"Haibara, what do you want from me?" Conan asked, pressed against the door, his face full of suspicion.

"It's nothing..." Ai turned around and smiled slightly, a smile that Conan found somewhat eerie. "It's just that we're almost out of experimental materials, so I needed to get some from you!"

When Conan saw the smile on Ai's face, an ominous premonition welled up in his heart.

Upon hearing Ai's words, he turned and ran without hesitation.
