As he walked, Professor Agasa fumed inwardly.
They actually said his invention was too powerful and could easily hurt people, making it unsuitable for sale. But when you used it, Shinichi, I never saw you worry about it hurting anyone.
The Gatling gun was originally invented by a kind-hearted doctor who wanted to reduce the number of wounded soldiers on the battlefield.
Even though the Gatling gun later became a terrifying meat grinder on the battlefield, we can't say that its original intention was wrong!
Whether an invention is good or bad depends on how its users use it; what does that have to do with the inventor?
If a user has malicious intentions, even an ordinary brick can become a murder weapon. Does that mean we should shut down all the brick factories and demolish all the houses?
The usually good-tempered Professor Agasa grew angrier the more he thought about it.
He had been thinking that morning about whether or not to tell Conan about how he had seen Yuzuru Hanyu spend half a day at Yukiko's place the day before yesterday.
Now it seems that it's completely unnecessary.
Nothing could stop him from becoming a great inventor!
Nobody will do!
...
Inside the performance hall.
Ignoring Conan, who was on the verge of a mental breakdown outside, Yuzuru accompanied Ran and the others to find a place to sit in the middle of the audience.
On the stage at the very front, a group of people were gathered in front of a huge pipe organ, exchanging ideas. They noticed them coming in, but only glanced at them a few more times before preparing to start rehearsing.
"Wow, that's awesome!" Ayumi exclaimed excitedly.
Ai Haibara maintained her indifferent demeanor, but a hint of interest flickered across her delicate face.
At this point, Sonoko began to introduce the concert with great enthusiasm: "The musicians invited for this concert are all top-notch in the industry. This performance is sure to be extremely wonderful."
Kogoro Mouri couldn't help but yawn and said, "For me, it's better to go have a drink."
"dad!"
Ran, who was next to Akemi, glared at him fiercely.
Under the powerful intimidation of his daughter, Kogoro Mouri immediately pretended to be a man of great artistic talent, sitting upright in his chair, not daring to slack off in the slightest.
Yuzuru smiled, his gaze lingering briefly on the back of a woman sitting quietly alone in a chair in the front row, her back to them.
We meet again...
Rehearsals began soon.
An elderly man with gray hair but a remarkably robust physique sat down on the organ platform. As he closed his eyes, adjusted his posture, and slowly lowered his fingers, melodious music instantly filled the entire venue.
The pipe organ is an aerophone keyboard instrument with a loud and majestic sound. It offers diverse contrasts, can imitate the effects of orchestral instruments, and can produce rich harmonies.
The old man playing the instrument was indeed a true master.
As soon as the piano music started, everyone in the audience was drawn into the world of music.
Even Ai closed her eyes and listened quietly.
Halfway through the performance, another group of people emerged from the side door of the performance hall. Inspector Megure, along with his three subordinates Sato, Shiratori, and Takagi, stood on one side of the audience seats.
Noticing this scene, Yuzuru glanced casually in that direction.
He happened to meet Inspector Megure's gaze as he looked over, and waved his hand, indicating that Inspector Megure, who wanted to come over to say hello, didn't need to.
Inspector Megure wisely stopped in his tracks.
"Is that Xiaolan and the others?"
Sato Miwako looked at it curiously a couple more times.
Inspector Megure nodded and said, "Listen to the music first, don't disturb them."
When the song ended, thunderous applause erupted from the audience.
"That's amazing, that's amazing, that's absolutely amazing!"
"You played wonderfully, Mr. Domoto."
Three figures in the front row stood up, clapping their hands as they quickly walked forward.
The white-haired old man, Domoto Ichiki, turned to face the audience and bowed slightly in thanks.
"Wow, as expected of Domoto Kazuki, a masterful performance!"
In the middle of the audience, Kogoro Mouri, whom Ran had deemed to have no artistic talent, looked at Ichiro Domoto, who was talking to someone on stage, and uttered a profound sigh.
Music doesn't require you to understand it; it will understand you on its own.
Xiaolan suddenly said, "I've seen this person on TV."
"Hmm?" Akemi asked curiously.
"It's that guy with glasses." Xiaolan's gaze was fixed on a man on the stage who wore glasses, a suit, and had his gray hair neatly combed back.
Following Ran's gaze, Sonoko introduced, "That's Mr. Fuwa Takumi. He's been Mr. Domoto's personal sound engineer for 35 years, and he's also the director of the Domoto Concert Hall this time..."
Yu Shengnan looked at the composer and craftsman with great interest.
He's also a bomb fanatic.
Ironically, this incident was entirely due to the actions of the two old men. One of them, wanting to protect his friend's pride, refused to tell the truth. The other felt that his friend didn't understand him and that life had no meaning, so he decided to blow it up.
Sonoko was still enthusiastically giving a detailed introduction to everyone. She looked at a foreign man on the stage whose hair was almost completely bald, "The German man facing us now is Hans Müller. He is an organ tuner. I heard that he and Mr. Domoto spent a long time working together."
As the second daughter of the Suzuki family, Sonoko is very familiar with these musicians, as her family often invites them to perform on important occasions.
